More Takara Tomy Exclusive Targetmasters On the Way?

The Planet Iacon facebook page has posted images of what appear to be new Takara Tomy exclusive Targetmaster PCC Mini-con repaints. These are likely the freebie figures mentioned by Takara Tomy for fans who participate in a poll to select their favorite Transformers Prime character. Interestingly, the gray Pinpoint repaint has a strong resemblance to the Targetmaster wielded by Artfire in the Transformers Generations 2011, Volume 2 comic. Probably just a coincidence, but interesting none the less. Images mirrored below.

Thanks to the keen (and stained!) eyes of a couple of our site members we know the Pinpoint redeco is named Firebolt, which means he is probably intended to be a companion for the upcoming United Rodimus Prime who features a remolded engine block to accept a Micron.

They need to make these 5 dollars a pop..not 45 or whatever insane pricetag they have.

You need to look into how these are purchased in the first place. crunch those numbers, add on finders fees, shipping to america, and then a profit margin. then, sell them to me for 5 bucks.

They do better than that, these are almost always free. The high price tag comes into play when online retailers have to import them. If you want to complain, gripe at Hasbro for not having these type of promotions domestically.

It really annoys me that Hasbro doesn't do similar promotions. I would love to get a free exclusive Mini-con when I go drop a wad of cash on figures when a new line launches.

I've been straining my eyes trying to read the names on the instruction sheets.

The thing I can't figure out is why both of the Targetmasters in the first picture seem to be named Firebolt. Then again, it could very well just be a packaging sample.

In the second pic with all 5, the orange axe guy (Autobot Peaceman) seems to be from the most recent (third) wave of Targetmasters (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-new ... es-173991/), and if I'm reading it correctly, the other black and grey guy in the top right hand corner is Spoilsport (from the second wave). The clear green Nightstick (from Generations/Henkei/RTS Cyclonus) repaint seems to be named Vector-something (can't tell without reading the other side of the sheet).

So I'm guessing we'll have another 3 more new Targetmasters to collect, for a total of 11. I just hope they aren't as hard to find or as pricey as Recoil.

Hmm... they're transclearent... That makes them little different from the PCC ones. Well, they are stil nice freebies, but nothing i would pay more than $10 for. I'm still happy with my painted PCC targetmasters. :D

OK, here are the names I could read or already know:

Grey Pinnpoint: Firebolt
Clear yellow Pinpoint: Firebolt ??? version
Black Airlift: Spoilsport (already out, maybe a re-release?)
Orange Chopster: Autobot Peaceman (Peacemaker)
Clear green Nightstick: Vector???

And upon checking the Arms Micron page, the blue Micron has been renamed: he's now called Blowpipe

Actually, that's a piece of a balpoint pen ink cartridge, with a lego cone glued to the end. ;) I would never kill Nightstick.
