SectorSeven.org is a movie tie-in website. It is not known yet if this just simply ties in with the movie or if it will become a video game tie-in for the movie. In the meantime, it's a fun little website to check out if you haven't already.
Here are some screen shots of the Transformers movie advertisement on ESPN.com ...

Anywho...nothing really note worthy on that update, but the damage done by Frenzy shows that he's one little bad ass.

no, they are experimenting with putting pieces of machinery near the allspark and watching them come to life, as psycho little real-gears

I've just now tried it in Firefox on my iMac. The only thing I can think of is that you've got your pop-up blockers on. Firefox wouldn't let it open when I first tried, then I hit preferences and chose to allow pop-ups for that site. Once I reloaded the page it was fine.

Heres hoping the movie is half way decent now.

I think Ryan's already explained (or at least somebody has) that this is a movie tie-in site. I remember back when Stephen King did Rose Red, there was a similar site for the college in Seattle where Joyce Reardon taught. Not nearly as advanced as I remember, it was just the same kind of tie-in site.

I really liked Silent Hill. Didn't see it in theaters, but got my copy as soon after it came out as I could. Glad I did.
I'm really looking forward to the movie though. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out, at least.

That's sorta the point. It's supposed to keep you interested in the movie until it finally comes out.

I agree.
The two email vids seem to refer to two seperate locations. I think I heard a car horn in the pizza boy vid(when the camera turned left) while the lab vid is probably an unknown location, likely very far from a city.
As for the new one with Dr. Howard and Lt. Col. Powers, it looks like it takes place after the takara83 vid(someone might want to keep track of the passwords to this site)since Lt. Col. Powers is asking for super weapons. It would seem that whatever came to earth, the "blip" from the first vid, was never found after it entered the atmosphere.
Here's what seems to be the timeline of events leading up to the movie using the tie-in site's vids(be wary of spoilers those of you who haven't peeked):
*
*
*
*
1.Teaser: The Beagle 2 incident. Yes, I know it's not part of the film's plot, but the takara83 vid refers to it so it seems to be part of the overall timeline.
2. takara83 vid: The "blip" enters the atmosphere, causing Lt. Powers to raise the security level. No clue who this is as Megatron is frozen in ice, and the bulk of the cast shouldn't arrive until the film starts. Although this could be whoever trashed the Beagle 2 starting a unknown mission.
3. thefirst7 vids: Sector7 conducts R&D, spearheaded by Dr. Howards, in both weapons and what seems to be their own robots if not a captive Decepticon. This looks like it's being done at a base seperate from Lt. Col. Powers's location. While this is under way, someone seems to be trying to spy on an S7 location, hinting that there is a Decepticon being held captive.

It made me personally, never go back to that site, if it wasn't for Seibs, I'd have no F'n clue what the hell was going on.

The horn could have been from a undustrial forklift or service cart. It sounded like a warehouse or workbay was outside the "waiting room" in the pizza boy video. My money is on one location, but that is just me.

If you look at the 'recovered' footage from the pizza boy spy, the very top portrait on the first seven wall appears to be John Voight. IMDB lists him as "Keller", all thought I was certain that he was to play a senior Witwicky in the movie. The first seven corridor seems to be in the sector seven facility as it has components of the logo in the tile of the floor.
The odd thing about the facility is that it all looks old, like 1940's-50's old. If it is in fact a long standing institution, that would be refreshing compared to all of the state of the art facilities we see in other movies. Many of the automotive centers here in Detroit are like this, the building were built 50 plus years ago but they have been updated with mondern equipment. It really make for an interesting environment.
[update]
Upon further review, the background of the first video on the takara83 password shows the battle damaged room behind Alex Powers during his alert monologue. That sort of kills the realism of the site as it puts a damper on the time line. Although, the damage video was listed as a past event in the "email" it was attached too. That is still a poor explaination of why it would seem that it was Power's office.
With the time line in mind, I predict that this website is set to occur in real time. I think that as the movie gets closer the events will accelerate and culminate with the opening night of the movie as if they were actually happening.

According to the map provided in the update, Lt. Col. Powers should be somewhere on the second floor in one of the temporary offices (room 12), whereas whatever ran amok in the damage vid would be on the fifth floor in the room marked containment(room 4), one of the four R&D labs(room 15), or in R&D itself (room 9). Since the damaged room was used for Lt. Col. Powers's office, these vids might be on a low budget, and thus can only use a few rooms.

I also checked the cast on IMDB.com and found that neither Lt. Col. Powers or Dr. Howards are in the film. I wonder what'll happen to them in future vids?

I though this as well, but then it occured to me, shouldn't there be sets somewhere left over from the actual movie? And maybe not even left over, these vids are scripted so what is to say they couldn't have been shot at the same time as the film. Excellent observations on the room placement.
