Kudos to the one who made the video!
As for the Prime itself, after seeing the video, OF COURSE I WANT IT!
Only problem is money. 250$-300$ for this? Goddamit, I can buy a shitload of TF for that money! (Or, you know, pay the bills). And that is not counting the 50$ it would cost for the shipping. Sigh...
Now, give me a 100$ version without the trailer and I'm sold. I can even leave out the way too small Sam. I'm pretty sure a cheaper version will come out eventually. I'll just have to wait.

Toys O.K. Alt mode is nice, Transformation kinda neat, Robot, meh.
Looks like a few pieces are prime for breakage though a la Rodimus.
I will admit the poseability is outstanding though

As for the figure, I like it. It looks good in vehicle mode, and robot mode. The transformation is interesting.

Valid point but you can also turn the sound down.

The robot mode has amazing detail, the Matrix is molded nicely, and a nice touch on making the ear finials rubber, and the neat detail of how the smokestacks can shift to complete the truck mode. I would love to have this guy, best rendition of G1 Prime yet, though that's just my two cents. I really hope that this gets released in the States sooner or later, I would think so, since Rodimus did. Or at least wait and hope that the price drops a bit...

Even with MP-10, there are some qualities of MP-01/20th Anniversary Prime that I like. It would be nice if I could afford to get MP-10 and display both of them together.

This figure is definitely amazing. I'm impressed, the transformation is more simple than I thought, yet still very effective.
Affording it now is out of the question, I guess I'll just have to wait and see what Hasbro does with it.

It's a silent video showcase.
Two totally different things. Grinds my gears, jus' sayin'...
Anyway, onto the figure...
Terrific transformation. Leaps and bounds better than MP-01. From the waist up, fine. From the waist down, not so much. Gimmicks are impressive, except the Energon axe, it just looks stupid.
Don't like the placement of the symbol on the trailer, it wasn't a big deal before, but it gnaws at me now.
I'm still impressed by it, now that I've seen the transformation and so on...but overall, the figure just isn't worth the ridiculous price tag. It just isn't, not in my book.
$150.00? Yeah, I could deal with that.

Pros:
Video was done very well to show you every aspect of the figure.
No stupid intros or puppet shows.
Cons:
You need to put talking on the video to discuss any possible flaws or delicate parts.
Whats up with the crusty fingernails ??? (No disrespect, Im just being honest)
As far as the figure goes I love him but I stopped collecting masterpiece.

Thanks buddy. But making reviews or critiques has never been the objective in my videos. I just make demonstrations. I have opinions about the toy but I keep them to myself. I'll be glad to share them if any one would ask.
My fingernails were crusty because I was working on a model kit prior to making the video on MP-10.

£150? Where is that price? I preordered it months ago at £170 and the price has gone up since then.

Please Hasbro, just release Prime over here, sans the trailer, as a NON-EXCLUSIVE so we can buy the thing at a normal price.

i'm sorry.. but that doesn't make any sense to me.. how can you just stop collecting one part of a franchise (maybe i should why) .. why wouldn't you just buy what you want. if you love it, then why not get it? it's sort of like saying, oh i like this song, but i'm not going to listen to it because i don't like the band anymore.
-Kanrabat- wrote:Thanks to the video review, I feel even less enclined to pay 200$ FOR A BIG EMPTY GRAY BOX. (100$ for Prime, 200$ for the trailers and accessories at my guess)

but it's G1 prime.. he NEEDS his trailer. it makes his alt mode complete.. otherwise you may as well just get a non transforming prime. and i'm pretty sure you're not paying $100 just for the trailer..
and yes you could call it "empty box".. but what do you expect a big rig trailer to be? a circle? or were you hoping there would be treasure in it? lol
prime needs his trailer.
plus.. if hasbro releases it over hear.. it'll most likely be an orangey red rather than a nice rich red, they'll most likely get rid of everything except the gun and the sword and the smokestacks will be neutered.. i don't know about other people, but if i'm going to get a prime of this caliber, i don't want the half assed version.

@Stormrider: Wheels are fine on my copy. They're all free spinning and have good clearance from the cab.

No problem, and thanks for sharing. I actually really appreciated the silent nature of your videos and the thought the use of the captions was quite clever. Keep em' coming!

i agree, it maks the viewer focus more.
it might help to speak your voice once in a whle, y'know, if theres something hard to show worth mentioning like a complex bit of transformation or blah.
still, great video man:)

From your video it doesn't look like all four wheels touch the ground at the same time. It's the same thing that happened with MP Rodimus.

BTW, I've got a question regarding the fig's windscreen. I noticed an air bubble/nub the size of a grain of sand on one of the windscreen on mine, and is more visible when light reflects off of the surface of the plastic. A couple of other guys I talked to also noticed the same thing.
I'm starting to wonder if this is a common manufacturing problem with MP-10.

For once, Hasbro's instruction manuals are often obscure and full of mistakes. And often, many reveiwers transform the toy too quickly and dont show the transformation well enough.
Kudos to the one who made the video!

Thanks man, i was wondering how it would size up to other figs, cos i heard that the new mastepieces were only voyager size.
cheers for shedding the light on that:)

I had an air bubble in the right windscreen of my MP-10. It bothered me to the point where I just had to drive all the way to the hobby store again to get it replaced.
The second one had a stroke of black paint on the top of the right chest piece. I decided to wipe it off with Gundam marker thinner, seeing as the red underneath was red-colored plastic instead of paint. While the black paint was erased, the red plastic took on a slightly shiny look as opposed to it's original matte or semi gloss finish. I'll get around to retouching it with a layer of semi-gloss clear spray one of these days.
Very poor QC, especially for such an expensive product.
BTW, I just noticed that MP-10 is made in Vietnam. If the QC there isn't any worse than in China, it certainly hasn't gotten much better.

Interesting that it is made in Vietnam. Takara said that they were planning to move out of China for a couple different reasons. This also might explain the price increase because I believe the labor costs are little higher n Vietnam. It's too bad these defects are getting through.
