Our friends at site sponsor TFsource dropped by to let us know they have listed their pre-orders for the previously reported Asia Exclusive Henkei Generations Autobot and Decepticon Specialists three-packs. As speculated these sets consist of the Classics/Universe molds of Hound, Ironhide, and Mirage on the Autobot side, and Astrotrain, Octane (Tankor), and Galvatron for the Decepticons. All are to feature new/updated decos, and each set will come in special collector style packaging. Please note the current images are just place holders until the official images become available.
Now up for preorder, two new Asia 3-pack exclusives! Decepticon Specialists features: Galvatron, Octane and Astrotrain, Autobot Specialists includes: Hound, Mirage and Ironhide! Both sets are said to feature updated paint deco’s but until official images are released similar to the Asia Seeker sets we only know these will feature the Henkei/Classics molds and come in great looking display packaging!
Priced at $129.95 per set, or preorder both and get FREE US shipping on orders over $150/reduced international shipping at TFsource!

A greater truth has never been told.

Or at least include a figure that has some relation to them like Straxus.
Another cool three pack they could've released could've been Octane, Cyclonus and Starscream's ghost.

That is incredibly likely.

Maybe. Personally, now that we have proper voyager triple changers, it's much harder for me to get on board with another version of Astrotrain & Octane, given the relatively inferior levels of engineering and scale. Also, those hands!

Is it me, or is something up with the lighting in these pics? I know they have a few shinier parts, but I didn't follow the Henkei releases close enough to remember which, and some parts just look lighter even though they couldn't be chromed, or it's inconsistent. For example, Hound's weapon looks like the missile launcher from Hasbro in his hand, but on his vehicle mode it's SO shiny that it looks like a totally different gun. WTF?
The effect appears on Galvy's treads on his right shoulder in robot mode, though that couldn't be chromed, could it? I'd see some merit to the repaint if it made his vehicle mode look more like Brunt, but the grey's even lighter now, ironically making him look a little like Slammer.
Are these a random mix of new and stock photos, or what?

All old stock photos from the original Henkei releases. The article even said they didn't have official stock photos yet.

Nope, 3rd Party all the way. For $130, I'd buy a 3rd Party SINGLE of any of the ones pictured (the prices would probably be more in the $75-80 range anyway). The molds above just aren't worth $43 apiece, even with ultra-special-paint-job!
I think $60 for the set is a great deal, but even TFSource isn't clearancing that low, so the odds are quite unfavorable for such an event.

I agree $130 is steep, but considering that Classics Mirage, Universe Hound, and Universe Ironhide each sell for anywhere between $40-$50 (not to mention the Takara versions), getting these on clearance for $90 (like the Seekers sets on TFsource) seems like a good deal to me.
