This assortment of 2 Voyager-scale TRANSFORERS action figures will be available in late May early June.
INFERNO - INFERNO’s name and deco are taken from the G1 character of the same name and Movie RATCHET’s red and white pre-production color scheme. G1 Micromaster Tote—a red and gray van—was another influence in initial color selection.

MUDFLAP - This MUDFLAP concept began with the name SAWTOOTH and an abandoned redeco color scheme from the TRANSFORMERS: CYBERTRON line. The name was unfortunately unavailable, and the concept colors weren’t convincingly realistic for a modern construction vehicle. Although a DECEPTICON, the inspiration for his construction-yellow and bone-white colors came from the G1 Micromaster AUTOBOT crane Erector.

However the color scheme is quite fitting. Even though I already own Armada Red Alert. I think i'll pick this up.
As for Mudflap, he's so going into my classics collection as Erector.
Loving the yellow, too bad he's a decepticon. A couple of reprolables can fix that though.
but yes I agree, he's Classics Micromaster Erector totally.

Mudflap, though...I passed to begin with. Wasn't a bad mold, but if I couldn't be bothered with buying him back then, why should I now?

Because now he's Classics Erector!.
As for Red Alert's minicon, I doubt they'd go to the trouble of naming the little guy.

Anyone else think Inferno looks a bit like G1 Ironhide?

and this is a perfect example of why I hate mini-cons: the little truck with Inferno should be the same size as Mudflap! why couldn't they choose objects that would at least be about the right size...

Kill the movie line and release the Animated toys already. Seriously, the decisions this company makes just makes my head spin...

The Mudflap repaint isn't terrible, but I prefer the original. I cant seem to spot any Decepticon symbols on him anywhere, can anyone else?

On the top right of the vehicle mode where his left arm is there's a gray Decepticon symbol.
I love the repaints personally. Its kind of like for the people who just missed out the first time around or for the people who want to collect as many as they can.

I also think that since the names Inferno and Mudflap are being used for the first movie figures it cuts the chance of TFmovie2 having characters with those names.

Given that I collect that mold, I'll be all over this guy like white on rice. Color scheme ain't half bad either.
