That mold in general is really awesome. It's got plenty of modes(cat mode, gun mode, saw mode, shield mode, etc.).

He looks more like Devcon, so... You're just over-tired

why is it that the botcon and TFCC figures suffer from such rampant QC problems?FracturedKoi wrote:My Rewind came misassembled, his hips are pinned in backwards!

Wasn't there a rumor a few months back that to cut costs the club doesn't pay for QC or something like that

A more likely explanation is that we as collectors are far more weary of slight errors, as we're paying a premium to get these figures. And the errors themselves are the same as what you can expect from regular retail, from loose joints to misassembled pieces. We just don't scream bloody murder when that happens with regular retail as they're easily replaced

Actually I heard the same thing about Quality Control. I experience a much higher percentage of problems with the Club exclusives and BotCon figures than I do with regular retail figures.

I thought of this just now: with production runs downsized from regular retail, isn't it possible for the QC to be downsized (but not eliminated) as well? I'm reminded of the whole Henkei Thundercracker and Skywarp debacle, which were similar in nature and had QC mishaps up the wazoo. True, Universe Starscream was indicative of things to come, but those two releases and only those two truly stand out.

Ditto, it's fantastic looking, but I personally wouldn't have the use for such an expensive figure, although if this ends up going down the price drain like Circuit did, I'd snag it.

To be fair it's A.M silas breakdown as neo classics/prime/aligned(?)bark at the moon, hobo with a shotgun megatron. Speculated. It's speculated to be the hobo with a shotgun. So, hey, at least its not the what 5th club figure starring breakdown as breakdown. Well until the club gets it's hands on CW breakdown.

And I'm betting it's a matter of time untill they do G2 Defensor and Menasor. I'm betting in about a year.

I realize I'm talking about a blue rat with gold paws and a head that doesn't at all resemble a real rat's, but that white rump looks really weird.

Personally, I find that the 97 version looked allot more glossy, mostly due to the plastic, than this ones' mat blue finish. Also Batlletrap's head, looks tiny, sort of. It's a little out of proportion and small, club standard issue, but it wouldn't look that bad if springer/sandstorm's neck weren't so long.
Also i'm going to guess the the blocked out figure is either SG Ricochet or whatever they're using breakdown for. You can not confirm nor deny it!
I think the Battletrap head is a fine size - looks to be about the same size as Springer's head, at any rate, and that works fine. Fine fine fine.
Hopefully, the neck issue is just a matter of perspective/photo angle...

I want to like Battletrap, I really do, it's a great way to homage the Duocons, but I can't not see Mirage when I look at him. The paintwork needs to be LESS uniform.

Springers head is slightly wider and set lower by like a millimeter

Posted by Sabrblade on April 13th, 2015 @ 10:58pm CDT
As for how high the head is set on the neck, the Battletrap pic seems to have the head tilted all the way up to let the head look forward for a better shot of it from the camera, whereas the Springer pic has the head slightly tilted down forward to give the impression of it being lower. But in reality, Springer's head can be tilted just as high up as Battletrap's head is as seen in the first pic.
In other words, both heads are pretty much the same width and same height placement.

It seems the bottom of Springer's head is flush with the top of his neck, whereas there is clearance on Battletrap's upper neck where you can see the bottom of the ball joint. Hopefully this can be corrected with an easy fix or adjustment to the final figures.
