Fellow Seibertronians, hot on the heels of our Leader class Blaster galleries, and rounding out our galleries of the wave 1 leader class is Titans Return Leader Class Powermaster Optimus Prime with Apex. This latest version of Optimus Prime is an extremely heavy retool of the Combiner Wars Leader class Ultra Magnus meant to be an reimagined update to his G1 counterpart, except that he is no longer a Powermaster. Instead Optimus has his Titanmaster Apex, whose name is derived from the Apex Armor which was additional armor the G1 Powermaster Optimus Prime could equip. Apex's head mode is based off of the Orion Pax toy, which was a redeco of the G1 Kup toy, and is, of course, the pre-Prime identity of Optimus Prime. So check out the gallery, and let us know what you think in the comments below.

I'm a bit disappointed that there aren't any pictures in the Powermaster Optimus Prime gallery that shows us the Apex head attached to Prime's body without the external helmet, the way the Blaster gallery showed us the helmetless Twincast head attached to Blaster's body.

my optimus prime as a kid was power master prime - so I was really looking forward to this update. I also really dig the combiner wars ultra magnus mould so when this was announced i was over the moon. He doesn't disappoint though obviously part of me would love to have a cab that transformed into a mini prime... The base mode is a bit ridiculous and obviously an afterthought; Blaster's for example is much more convincing.

My two gripes with this guy are the re use of ultra magnus' black guns. In fact I don't think I'll be the only one to give each a matching pair. And he really needs ankle tilts more than Ultra magnus.

There's something about the plastic they're using that just looks...weird, especially on the Headmasters. It looks oddly coarse and grainy, almost as if it's 3D printed? It looks really, really bad when the Headmasters are in robot mode- the faces are barely discernible mushes, and the molding in general looks really rough. The lack of paint doesn't help either.

Also, that sparkly blue plastic Scourge and Fracas are molded from looks an awful lot like it'd be prone to GPS. I really hope I'm wrong but given the recent trend for wonky QC and cheap plastic...I'm worried.

I think the toughest thing on the headmasters is getting any detail onto the tiny robot faces let alone paint. Sieberton's incredible close-up's of the robot faces unfortunately brings out every blemish when in reality, the heads are so tiny you would barely notice some things without magnification (especially if you are over 35). Of the ones I have in hand, the plastic on all of them looks a little better than the photos, but the details are much harder to see with my own (aging) eyes.

I'm a little worried about GPS on Scourge myself, but so far he feels pretty solid.

Well, TT's managing to paint all the headmasters quite thoroughly in non-head mode, so, it can be done, hasbro simply isn't >:oP

Man, the PMOP toy looks so good (save for that very dull tannish shade of gray) that I just can't wait to see how Takara can possibly make it any "better" for their Super Ginrai version.

Speaking of which, I took some pics of him sporting just his Titan Master Apex noggin' without the traditional Optimus Prime helmet. I'll post them tomorrow for you guys to see.

Here you go Shegotron! Thanks for letting me know that I forgot these shots of him with just the Titan Master Apex head. You can click on the image below to view more images of him like this. Enjoy!

Takara confirmed there wont be the god bomber armor since they are doing Super Ginrai and not God Ginrai. Well at last thats what is written on the sketch they released of the upcoming toy.

What about a separately sold Godbomber?

That just means that if any Godbomber were to be made it would come separately from Takara's figure, like how the original Godbomber was also a separate release from Super Ginrai.

but now a 3rd party could step in in and with this figure it wont look so odd

If our two latest galleries here on Seibertron.com were Transformers Titans Return Leader class figures (Powermaster Prime and Blaster), and before that we brought you the full first wave of deluxes (Scourge, Blurr, Hardhead and Skullsmasher) it's probably time for the main dish, right?

Dive right in below with the new biggest Transformers figure out there, beating Generations Metroplex by not that much: Titan class Fortress Maximus, with Cerebros and Titan Master Emissary! The latter looks like Headmaster Spike of old, but with Cerebros' headsculpt, and Fort Max himself is shown off in city mode, battle station mode, robot mode, compared to a number of big bots and within the Titans Return line itself - plus a special human guest for further comparison, too. Check it all out by clicking on any of the images below!

The Pics are great! But Optimus' base mode looks like ass when combined to the other bases and thats too bad. It really does look like a kid just gave up in mid transformation.

Thanks for showing that to us, no one had done so yet. Its really off how the flap ends up in the air.

Are we to therefore understand that Fortress Maximus is taller than Metroplex?

By head yes, by shoulders no

Whle I understand the need to give Fort Max some guns, his legs really look naked without them.

Is it possible to leave the legs flat but open them in city mode (like on Metroplex's city mode) so that the open boots can act as garages?
