Real quick aside, I adore everything about the senator Rattobatto figure, I think it is the single best use of the neo-classics scourge mold. One of my favorite takara figures this side of Telemocha Waspy.

I still think Armada Cyclonus with a new head as Deathcobra would work best because he had a transforming chest gimmick.

While I think the snake face on his torso is cool, I don't really care much for this character. G.I. Joe never interested me. I'm still waffling on getting the subscription service for the 2, maybe 3 characters I want, and selling the rest.

The one I want the most from this subscription service! Serpentor Prime! The Son of Megatron! One of the most competent Decepticons leaders ever created and originating from one of the greatest TF crossover stories ever written! It will be mine! THIS, I COMMAND!

Hiboman wrote:And he can totally double as the first Deathcobra figure!
Maybe as Shattered Glass Deathcobra, but certainly not the one from Victory, since this figure's got way more gold than Deathcobra had, who was primarily green with only a little gold:

Whereas SG Deathcobra's deco was an intentional Serpentor homage:

The Transformers Collectors' Club today gives us a new look at the final Transformers Collectors' Club Subscription Service 3.0 figure G2 Starscream. He is a straight G2 repaint of the Classics Starscream mold. The sign up period for the TFSS 3.0 runs through October 2.

Transformers Collectors' Club wrote:With a little over a week remaining to sign up for the The Transformers Collectors' Club Figure Subscription Service (TFSS) for version 3.0, today we show off our final reveal! Everyone’s favorite number two (and the Deception who for thirty years has strived to be number one) - G2 Starscream! As a reminder, the order period will be open through October 2nd, 2014.

LOL at Prime's and Galvatron's expressions. That's really something unexpected.

And this cements TFSS 3.0 in Wings, as Jhiaxus uses his RiD-based form.

Transformers Collectors' Club wrote:Tomorrow, exclusively on the TCC website http://www.transformersclub.com . A full 22 page comic spotlighting the #TFSS3point0!

The cover artwork features Optimus Prime and Galvatron to the left and right of the top logo with several of the Subscription 3.0 characters standing prominently on the cover. The text on the cover states "The War is Over! Here stand ... the victors?!?"

Heh. He makes me think of those old school apple head carvings where they look like old people making a sour face. LOL.

I've warmed up to that more expressive style ala Wildman over the years, but given my choice I'll usually take a more robotic take on characters.

Still, REALLY looking forward to the new club comic. Woot! :APPLAUSE:

Yah that Galvatron face is pretty terrible. The toy's robot mode face kind of sort of looks like that but not any where as bad as that artwork shows it to be.

It's not my fault the Club used Universe Galvatron for the Wings Universe version of him.

I get the feeling that it was like a request by Hasbro to use the designs for the then-current toys of the time for the characters in the comic, hence why Cyclonus uses his own Universe toy's design as well.

Yeah I know thats the one I was talking about when I mentioned wanting to know what happened to them. This 3.0 is 22 pages long, I wanted one that told the "rest of the story".

Yeah, I hope any and all of the digital comics get released in Diamond Editions.

I also have enjoyed the fiction. It would be really cool to see it collected in some comic-style printings with new cover, inset drawings (any that were in the PDFs) and some consistent, professional text treatment. (PDFs have been fun, but a bit all over the map)

Maybe a collection of Shattered Glass fiction, a collection of Wings, etc. ???

I don't expect to see that any time soon, though. I can dream, though.

Free comic book day in September? As promised yesterday, Transformers Timelines issue 9: A Common Foe is now up and the whole 22 page comic is free for your reading pleasure. The issue features characters from the TFSS 3.0 and takes place directly after the events of Timelines issue 8: Termination. You can read the PDF issue here.
