The upcoming Legacy Evolution Animated Prowl figure is getting a lot of attention since it is the first Animated toy to be "G1-ified", giving us a taste of what is to come in this line. We have comparisons to the original Animated Prowl figure showing that this new one has far more articulation and also an alt mode that is not as clean or cohesive. We also have a review. A fun new detail we learn through all this is that like with G1 Wreack Gar, this Prowl's head is also the motorcycle dashboard. The images come to us from Michael A and Sean H, who posted them on Transformers Botposting, and the review comes from PrimevsPrime.

If he had been decoed differently and called someone else, it would be easier to give him a pass. He would be a good transforming toy. But as Animated Prowl, he comes up short (literally and figuratively.) He's not a failure, but I can't get over his stockiness and that terrible face. The bike isn't sleek or streamlined and for some reason those handlebars in robot mode really bug me. I get he's supposed to be "G1-ified" but they managed to ruin it much like they did Arcee and Bulkhead. He's adequate at best. For a casual fan he'll do the job of representing the character, but as a fan of the show and that character in particular, I'm disappointed.

Prowl looks neat and fun. I'll totally pick him up if that wave ever comes to Australia (so I'm never gonna pick him up, fuckin epic).

I'll say that again: nice toy, shame for the missing samurai armor.

Still I have a feeling that sooner or later we'll see this mold repurposed as a full-fledged G1 character, such as Override.

I'm conflicted. Looks alright. Is too short. I know why thr back side kibble is there. But the face... Prowl smiles?

I like him, and the fact that he’s a bit shorter actually adds a bit to the appeal since he is a motorcycle after all.

Well, I DID was pissed at "voyager" Override. Once in hand, he felt like a deluxe through and through.

Still, thinking about it, I wonder how Override would have been trimmed down to a deluxe?

English isn't your 1st language, it's understandable. I guess some people might have thought you were from the Southern US. But you're a Quebecer.

As for your question about override, I don't think anything could have been done. The voyager price was for the engineering, and if they skimped on that it would have crippled the figure. Or made it a borderline 2-step simpleton.

Plus, Override is equal in size to the likes of Siege Springer and Earthrise Grapple.

man this one just hits different. I love it. this is making animated fit into g-1 and is leaps and bounds better then what they did with prime bulkhead and arcee. but, I still prefer the original, so will probably pass on this.

though I do find some humor in this ones existence. Remember how during animated's run, how many g1 and (and beast wars) were getting re-imagined in the animated style? full reverse!

I still want animated season 4 though

He got 2 of each, I think. Possibly for display in each mode?

If I had the money to spend on them, I would get 2 of each, 1 for a group shot and 1 for Menasor.
