I'm getting mightily confused over who is doing what between this Powerglide and the other X-Transbots or whatever they're called this week, along with the notWheelie featured the other day - anybody recommend what ones to wait for, and which ones to go for as soon as the orders go up?

I think these might struggle against iGears proposed collection of Minibot based figures as we already have prices, initial release dates and they come with weapons.

I love Transformers and I love all of the 3rd party companies spending time to make awesome custom figures, but c'mon if you see one company is doing a character you were thinking of doing pick another one! That way you won't have as much competition, and maybe we can finally get some modern molds of some of the more obscure characters.

How are they out of proportion? From plain to boat that's pretty scale, and even if not, their mini-bots, so scale's never been an issue...
But to end things on a posative note, PowerGlide has monkey arms, and no elbow swivel to make up for it...so yeah, kitbashers have fun.....

NaM3L3sS wrote:Hmmmm.... Looks like (if they EVER get released) they'll be a 2-pack, if the shared instruction sheet is anything to go by. Powerglide looks okay, Seaspray not so much - might stick in an order for iGears.
It is a 2-pack set. If you go to their website, it said that.
Since when did Powerglide got so popular? His "heart" made me want to throw up.

Mabey not out of scale on SS but PG looks a bit off actually his thighs are tiny.

Sodan-1 wrote:If memory serves one G1 episode had Powerglide make use of a laser mounted on his forehead. Maybe that's what the screw in Bomber's head is meant to represent.
The screw in Powerglide's forehead is a homage to THE SCREW IN POERGLIDE'S FOREHEAD. It was so prominent that it made it onto the cartoon design as a normal feature of his head and they even made it a sculpted and painted detail of the Universe 2.0 Voyager Powerglide.

If they go back to the lighter plastic shown at BotCon, I'm on board. I don't care for the head sculpt on iGear's Seaspray.

The proportions are all over the place. Looks like i'll be sticking with Igear for now.

Perfect example of when G1 is over it's time. I hate to hate on what I love but G1 aesthetics are just to terrible for the new age. If someone wants a MP G1 Jazz, I hope it's NOTHING like the original G1 figure, because I have it, and it sucks.
I love Powerglide and Seaspray, but the whole mini-bot idea is Stupid. In the cartoon they are carrying other transformers, so make em the same size as the other main bots. I don't care about retrospect, just make some decent versions of the figures.
for example:
Igear Ironhide ( about the right size, good bot mode, good vehicle mode. Doesn't come with the base mode ( that's G1, but it was also terrible, and made the figures really stupid IMO.
TFC Hercules - Not exactly devastator of G1, but enough to tell you it is supposed to be. Better articulation and larger scale.
Igear Cliffjumper ( NON-stubby Porsche and you have a winner.)
Just because something in G1 was a certain size, doesn't mean 25 years later it should stay that size. IMO mini bots sucked. and Still do. The littlest ones I like are the Throttle Bots, at least they clicked into place when in modes.

These photos are of stolen toys taken be an amateur. These aren't supposed to be finished and polished.

these two where announced before iGear's where.
Also, I like these more than the iGear ones, now lets see how much they cost.

don't you know? Everything and every one ruins Transformers on a daily basis.

Somebody ought to make a spreadsheet for Seibertron with all the different 3rd party toys - future/present/past.

Stormrider wrote:Wait...aren't these the same folks that are making Devastator? I am feeling a little anxious...
I'm not. Powerglide and Seaspray look just like their original prototypes, just these are in color. Their Devastator still looks awesome, but they need to at least un-blur those individuals Cinstruction photos already. TFC has product out and has finally released pics of all six in all modes. MakeToys needs to step up if they want to compete, unless they're hoping to compete solely on price (which would make a lot of people here happy I'm sure).

They do have bit of a 'super deformed' quality to them but they certainly aren't garbage! Which is the vibe i'm getting from most of these posts on this thread.
I wouldn't pay very much for them either. 20 bucks at most including shipping and handling (never gonna happen) but i would buy them

Good point. In my jet-lagged state, I hadn't thought of that.
I think these still hold promise and am waiting to make a fair comparison when we see the final images-like I am with their version of Devastator.
