The images, mirrored below via Facebook page Planet Iacon here, show both the robot mode and the Tyrannosaurus Rex mode, with some size comparisons with fellow Beast Wars toys Optimus Primal and the soon to be released Dinobot, showing how the Predacon leader is in fact slightly larger than the Maximal/Predacon raptor, and definitely much larger than the Maximal leader, in both modes. Additionally, we get to see the three faces that the figure will be able to sport, a better look at the back kibble in robot mode, and some of the articulation for both modes. Check it all out below!

The only thing that concerns me right now is how balanced he is going to be in beast mode. He looks like he might be a little front heavy. I’m hoping he won’t require the use of that stand to get some more dynamic poses. That’s assuming he has good range of motion.

I agree he looks a *lot* better than Dionbot in beast mode... but knowning Takara... dinobot is a little weird... because quite frankly he looked kinda rough in the show.

I dunno.... I think Megatron was just easier. Think about the original. His beast mode was almost completely seamless, and the robot mode backpack wasn't terribly hideous. Pretty much all they had to do was copy/paste, only make the backpack more collapsible/foldable/compressible/yougetme....Ironhidensh wrote:Looks as if Dinobot dinosaur mode was a learning experience. Megatron looks so much better.
Dinobot however, in order to achieve the bot mode and beast mode on screen required all sorts of witchcraft.

I am SO displaying him with his “yesss” face and holding the Golden Disk. It is my destiny.

Several times. Anytime he would sit in his CR jacuzzi he’d have a left hand, most notably he was seen even brushing his t-Rex heads teeth. Can’t do that with a tail arm

You're thinking of Megs's left hand, which he had in the show a lot. What was asked about was a right hand.Randomhero wrote:AllNewSuperRobot wrote:Rodimus Knight wrote:I'm glad to see at least one of his arms has an actual hand on the end. I hope the other one does too.

I wonder if any British suppliers will have preorders for this.

Looking at the prototype he might not have articulated T-Rex fingers, which is a shame.
I pre-ordered Dinobot and Shadow Panther through Kapow Toys, so I don't doubt they will have Megatron too. Although, at time of writing, not yet.

How much were they charging for dinobot? Still unsure of shadow panther, would rather have it in proper cheetor colours

Back in the day, I wouldn't have bought Shadow Panther. Other than Optimal Optimus the only BW line I went out of my way to complete with the Transmetals. However, I made the decision with the MP Beast Wars line to support the whole thing. I'm not banking on MP Transmutate or MP BW Ravage (as much as I'd want him) but I'll keep buying MP Beast Wars as long as they keep making them. Repaints and all..

Fair enough looks like I've missed my chance with dinobot, but they could always do a re-issue later.

Honestly, I’ve got a feeling the stands are being included with Dinobot and Megatron because they may not be all too stable in beast mode. Maybe I’m wrong, but especially with Megs, that T-Rex head looks big and heavy and is pretty forward of Center.

I’m right there with you. I do have some concerns about his weight distribution in beast mode. There’s a chance that Megatron’s potential balancing issue could be mitigated by having a larger footprint than Dinobot. Won’t know for sure until the figure is released though. I am, however, kind of glad these two are coming with stands regardless of potential balancing issues. I really love to pose my figures. Many of the Autobot MPs and all of the Decepticons MPs are much too heavy to be supported by the stands I use for smaller, lighter figures (various Bandai Tamashii Stage Act stands).
If these work well, I think it would kind of be nice to see Takara sell some display stands separately. Although my preference would be for clear plastic, as it’s less obtrusive.

I'm generally not too keen on these features as you typically lose out in articulation and/or design to accommodate them. I think some discreet light piping would be just as good. Much like my TR Fort Max and MP Primal, I know I'll never use any of the battery powered features. In this case, especially if it's not David Kaye, I'm not interested.

MP-29, MP-32, and MP-36 all have electronics; MP-29 and -32 even have those electronics integrated directly into the figure. Granted, -36’s are housed in the fusion cannon, but all three of those figures have superb articulation. I’m not worried in the slightest about having electronic features in MP-43.

I’d also recommend frequently checking HLJ. Every few days or so they have some available. That’s how I got my preorder in the other week. So far I’ve seen them available three times in the last week and a half, sometime between 10PM and 4AM Eastern.
I know the cost for getting it through HLJ is about $12 or so more, but in my experience HLJ’s shipping fees are a lot less, and they’re a little faster. Maybe it’s changed though. It’s been a long while since I ordered from Robotkingdom.

Aside from Legends Metroflex (Not sure about the EX release)were English voice clips ever included in a JP market release?
Posted by Sabrblade on May 27th, 2018 @ 6:13pm CDT
The first Takara versions of the ROTF Leaders might have kept (at least the name-speaking parts of) the English voice clips. I know some of them were definitely changed for later Takara releases like the Movie the Best release of Leader class Optimus.fenrir72 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Too bad it won't be David Kaye sound clips (no offense to Shigeru Chiba).Actar wrote:According to the scan, MP-43 Beast Wars Megatron will not only have light-up robot eyes, but have a sound chip as well.

Also of note is the designation. Whereas we were under the assumption that he would be MP-43, here we have a card saying his in MP-44. This brings up 2 questions: 1) is this just a simple mistake? and 2) if it isn't, who is MP-43? We will leave that answer up to you to debate for now.
