This new TIE Advanced Vader looks really good, and a lot better than the old one!Would love to see how it transforms, but I hope we get more figures from the line (not just from the OT, but also from the prequels and the Disney trilogy). Oh, and release them to other countries!

I'll pass. Seeing as how I WAS a Star Wars fan back in the day, with Disney in charge..
Nah..
I think I am happier with Bayformers. At least there you know what you're getting. In the New Star Wars Disney franchise.. it's all rehashed BS and fan fiction masquerading as a film franchise continuation. I'd rather not go down that road.
It's a great toyline for the kiddies..
A great testament to the original series is that Hasbro and Takara are only doing the most beloved and recognizable versions.. Seems Like Kylo Freak and his cadre of wannabee Imperials are not as popular as old Anakin is..LMAO!
The original Star Wars is still king, reboots (pretenders) are out!

Much like the Star Wars constraction sets from Lego; if you're going to make a line with robot-like designs, it only stands to reason that robotic (or armored - see the Fetts, troopers, and often Vader himself) characters will look infinitely better than weirdly human ones.

1) It looks pretty cool. Final judgment once stock photos are presented.
2) Being a die hard Star Wars and Transformers fan I have to say I'm a tad disturbed with a handful of the comments...Yes, we are all entitled to our opinions. Yes, those opinions can and may differ...that being said, some of y'all need to chill out.
How bout we take the emotion and hating from 11 down to like 3?!? I love my collections, I love my toys.... I'll say that again, I love my TOYS. Toys are the heart of all this...us older collectors may enjoy these for nostalgia's sake, but in the end these are toys for children...Toys that will create memories and fun just like our first toys did.
So all you Atomic Bombs of negativity out there...tone it down.

You're not a moderator so ... no. People are allowed to express their opinions, as long as they're within the forum rules.
And I've yet to see any posts in this thread that go against the forum rules.
You're okay with these? Hey that's cool, personally, they've missed the point of "Star Wars Transformers" again. The majority of the first go round sucked because they slapped humanoid heads on robot bodies and it looked incredibly out of place.
I, and I have no doubt many others would agree with me, would prefer to see Star Wars vehicles transforming into Transformer characters. They could have little pilots/drivers that are SW characters, heck, we just had an entire line of tiny robots that transform into heads for bigger robots, that could be followed to!
But no, Star Wars is its own behemoth making other lines its *****. That's why I fully expect this second iteration to suck.

It kind of helps that the first one being made is Vader, since, well, like Kenobi said -- he's more machine than man. His suit's edifice on a giant robot makes sense.
Well when I did collect the original releases back in the day, I imagined that Cybertron was dormant from the war, and that somehow a human broadcast of Star Wars the original trilogy was received by Cybertron, maybe by a wormhole, and thus Vector Sigma instituted a reboot of the planet using the characters from the movies, which the new Transformers bodies were forged from, kinda like Teletran searching for objects to repair Megs and co. from in the original 3 part pilot of G-1.
so Vader was a reboot of Megatron's form complete with mental engrams of the movie giving him a different personality, and so on..

From what I hear, this whole Repetitive-ness in the newest trilogy, was actually George Lucas' plan.

Well While I agree Vader was good, I did like the Jedi Starfighter versions the best. I hope they release another Jedi Star Fighter as good as this, I repainted my figure's hands and head Blue rather then the reds, but other then that, I loved this guy.
The Ones I owned were all here in the pic, except Chewbacca..A wookie headed Transformer just seemed weird to me.

That makes no bloody sense, unless you found one second hand and didn't care that you had only half of an alt mode. After all, Han and Chewy combined together to form the Falcon.
I need to see if I can find my old Star Wars Transformers. I skipped the Prequel Trilogy ones back in the day, but I had most or all of the Original Trilogy ones. Pretty sure they are in a box in my parents' basement, except for the Darth Vader / Death Star one, which is the only one I still regularly keep on display. He hangs out with the few Masterpiece Decepticons I have.

*EDIT*
I went back and compared this new image to the grey prototype figure and the chest flap was present there but it blended in better in the first shot. I also realized just how much the torso looks like a ball balanced on a tiny waist. We haven't gotten a rear view yet, but it kind of looks like the back could have been used for a better torso. Maybe the designers had instructions to keep the ship front on the chest?

That being said... Would it not be bad ass to have a cross-over? We had GI Joe and transformers so why not Star Wars and Transformers??
The Decepticons teaming up with the Empire... Autobots with the Rebels/Republic... Unicron/Deathstar hybrid... Seeker Tie Fighters (each character being a different one)... Bumblebee as a Y-Wing.
Having favorite heroes team up across Galaxies... It could be cool.

I alwsys failed to understand how these are considered "crossovers" when theres nothing related to the Transformers franchise other than the fact it transforms. Thats the same argument the anti 3rd party crowd used to use so its kind of ironic. Why not give the vehicles respective Autobot snd Decepticon heads that coincide with their rank?
Examples:
Darth Vader Tie Fighter: Megatron
Regular Tie Fighter: Starscream
Slave-1: Soundwave
X-Wing Fighter: Optimus Prime
Millennium Falcon: Ironhide
Snowspeeder: Bumblebee
Then you would have actual Transformers "crossovers" instead of transformable robots with stupid human heads. Just saying...

It's his button panel, it isn't supposed to be in his chest it's supposed to be right above his belt. They really made a mistake trying to cram all of his iconic parts into one little flap that can't even sit flat on his chest. Plus the more accurate light gray makes for an even less accurate Vader.

I honestly can't tell if you're agreeing with me or trying to contradict me. Either way, that figure has a longer than accurate torso leaving a larger gap between the panel and the belt than the actual costume(s) had. It certainly wasn't sitting just under his neck in the middle of whatever that fringe is called.

While I agree that it would be great to see Transformers characters used for this crossover instead of Star Wars-themed transforming mech suit whatevers - it'd be beneficial aesthetically as well IMO, having proper robots instead of trying to approximate human features, and at this point we're used to Transformers characters having more than a single iconic appearance - I suppose what they're doing is reasonable from a business perspective. Something tells me that all other things being equal, Transformers fans are more likely to buy a non-Transformers-character transforming toy, than Star Wars fans are to buy a SW vehicle that turns into a Transformers character.
Admittedly I speak from the perspective of only one fandom, not being inside the Star Wars group (specifically that part that's also interested in toys). Even so, I just get the feeling that SW fans are gonna need more convincing to buy these things than we are, so business-wise it makes more sense to skew the appeal more in that direction. Of course as with any of my many assumptions, I could also be totally wrong, that's also a distinct possibility

Um no. There might be a few but by and large, most TF fans know they're part of a larger hobby and what one side does affects them too.
