Seibertron.com member Darth Decepticonus has found something very interesting on eBay.com. There is a new listing for a Super Laser Gun who may look a little familiar.
It is a remolded and repainted Classics Megatron! The figure is the same as Classics Megatron overall with a different color, however, the Decepticon Insignia on the scope of the figure has also been removed.
With knock-off's, one is never enough. So we'll keep you posted if any more Classics receive knock-off treatments as well.

I just "Bought it now" - I'm calling this Megatron knockoff "Classic Megaplex".
Wouldn't it just totally rock if the guys making this classic knockoff recolor continued this with a blue recolor of Starscream?

Kinda how they might have painted it for a Galvatron repaint.

Now, for this topic, I hate the paint scheme on this knockoff, but I wouldn't mind having some to send to slaughter as decoys though!

I think the KO paint scheme may make people who originally did not like Classics Megs colours start to appreciate them more.

Or that it's part of the original deal with the factory. The factory has to initially use the mold to make Hasbro and TakaraTomy's products then after X amount of time passes, they can use the mold for these sub-par knock off toy lines. It just seems like this problem has gone on for way too long and that there would be a way to prevent this from happening IF Hasbro/TakaraTomy really wanted to prevent it.
Of course, bringing the factory work back home to the U.S. of A wouldn't be a bad start either to prevent this problem but I'm sure it wouldn't be cost effective and that we'd end up paying through the nose for the increases to the product prices.
Hmmm.... that sound interesting. It does make sense, and would explain alot. It would be nice to hear Tarkara/Hasbro comment on this sometime.

Well I purchased one on ebay last week for 10 dollars american plus shipping from Hongkong and I am now waiting for it to arrive in the mail. The colours are actually closer to G1 Megatron than its origional classic Megatron counterpart. I hope the quality is comparable its looks solid enough. The red face needs to be repainted in either white or silver though. Still overall it looks nice.DSanza wrote:That's actually pretty good. Does anybody know where to get this?

That "unreleased" small version of Beast Machines Prime being a good example.
