New Release Date for ROTF in UK and possibly the US

The official Transformers Revenge of the Fallen website has been updated to reflect that the UK release date for the film will be on June 19th, 2009, the friday prior to the original June 24th date. Great news for fans in the UK, but it doesn't stop there. Seibertron.com member Patrick Foley tipped us to this info.
It appears that Michael Bays official website has also had an update done. The counter counting down to the release of ROTF has been shaved by a few days putting the release at a possible June 22nd date. Little strange since that falls on a Monday. Click the links above to see for yourself.

Ok everybody, lets get braced for the "lucky Brit's" insults. Please remember that a lot of stuff is released in the US first. I love this news as ROTF is that bit closer.

We get something first, someone pinch me I must be dreaming. This is great news as we got the first movie a month after the US.

WOW, really? That long after? That's really surprising, considering how anticipated it was all over. As for this release, the first one opened on Monday night, and I did go to the first showing. I don't think it's good for weekend box office, but it's the final tally that counts, and Bay will get my money once again, probably $40-50 like last time.

Technically, if the movie was released on the same day in both the UK and US, we UK fans would still get it first due to time zones. I was living in South Korea when the first movie came out. They had it a week before the US showings.

Wouldnt the count down put the movie coming out tuesday at midnight? Which is techincally wednesday. Atleast to me it said 23days 23hrs and so on.

I think the new US countdown is reflecting the June 22nd premium at the LA Film Festival. I doubt the public release of 24th has changed.

While sooner is better, guess I'll just have go see it again on my day off I have booked heh. I was planning see it in Imax with my best friend since we saw first one there, and promised we would for the second movie. May be do it then.
