What is really cool about this early sighting is that Tyrannosaurus Rex took images of the box the little baggies are in which have renders of all the toys. This is the first time we see these renders. As you can see, these small toys bring back many characters from all across the movie franchise.
Enjoy!

In the first image from Cybertron.ca, I couldn't help but notice that Tyrannosaurus Rex had Lucina from Fire Emblem as their profile picture, and that makes me smile even more. I know it's not relevant, but hey, little things please me, just like those Tiny Turbo Changers.
Do we know if the blind bags have any figure identification codes?

That made me smile too, I love Fire Emblem.

But back on topic, these little guys look like a lot of fun, might have to pick a couple up if I can. But still, other things have my priority... *cough*Leader Megs*coughcough* Either way, I'm kinda glad Hasbro's branched out the merchandise like this. It's a good way to bring in new fans.

it might not even be a retool. I was just saying who it could be if it was

And Nitro seems to be an original mold (although I think he is based on a leftover of the AOE line that never made it to production).

Though, the design that both Nitro and the KSI Boss are based on was originally a tutorial DVD design created by Josh Nizzi back in 2009.william-james88 wrote:Autobot N wrote:Yeah, I'll give you those, now that I look at it more. Heh, I remember seeing that on his site listed under, like, "Personal Projects" or something obviously separate from Transformers, back during DotM or something. It was a little surreal seeing it posted again as "new" when the Age of Extinction concept art first started making the rounds.

As for Onslaught being a backwards Longhaul, don't forget that they're using that same trick with the new Drift being a backwards AOE Drift.

Anyway, let's hope we get the other Combaticons. It wouldn't be the first Onslaught we've gotten that didn't combine...

Emerje
its unusual, i will give you that. it was unusual for RID Starscream which was TRU exclusive at first. But he was eventually released wide (months later).
but here, what is odd is that we all know the rundown of all main line figures (in code names) and that list has been confirmed by multiple sources around the planet. Its the same breakdown everytime and the only one left unknown is one deluxe. and that list doesnt include these exclusives. So it really seems like they wont get a wide release. Could be worse, all AOE deluxe toys were TRU exclusives in England

I don't exactly see why he would've dropped the triple changing. Seems pretty practical to me. Either way, I'd love to see the skyhammer mold in red!

And Megatronus, but he was also released in the main line with a new head at normal retail. So we've established a precedence with TRU.

But how many waves do we know? Just the first for sure and parts of what comes after from Toy Fair, right? As far as I know we don't know how many waves we're getting, so there's a chance of them being released later on. It isn't like the main TLK line is any stranger to repaints and remolds.
Something else to consider: We've been getting a lot of leaks for TRU, but nothing official, right? What about Walmart and Target exclusives, where are those? Can't imagine they wont have any at all. I think there's a lot we still don't know.
Kurona wrote:So is there not gonna be a Helicopter Drift? Or maybe he dropped the triple-changing between movies?
It's amazing that they haven't repainted Generations Springer into Drift yet.

I thought the same thing, though I feel it would take some serious remolding to be able to match the movie aesthetic and all its... point bits.

We already deduced them all except for 1 deluxe figure. And this list excludes those TRU exclusives.

They could rerelease his one step, those have not all been revealed.
I dont think we will see a helicopter drift aside from that.
Posted by AgentK2 on April 11th, 2017 @ 2:08pm CDT
I thought about that also, but it seems to me that would be very difficult as they would have to make the vehicle look like that of his movie counterpart. They're two different aesthetics that I would be very interested to see combined but I can also imagine being a very difficult task.Emerje wrote:Kurona wrote:So is there not gonna be a Helicopter Drift? yeah but we already have actual video reviews showing the transformations for those, so there isnt really new stuff to see compared to this bumblebee that we technically havent even seen a live image of the actual robot mode.

It's just another name reuse. He's no more a Combaticon than Brawl was in the first movie.

Okay, that makes sense. Too bad though, I think Bruticus would be a great addition seeing as we've never had a proper combiner in the movies (when I say proper combiner, I exclude devastator as his appearance in the movie was drastically different than what many would have imagined it to be).
Also, I do vaguely remember seeing the green truck in those photos a while back, I must've forgotten who it represented.

Did Devastator combiner?
Then he was a "proper" combiner because just because it was not G1 or based on a humanoid combiner doesn't mean he was not a Combiner.
Plus besides the wrecking ball joke ROTF Devastator was a heck more original of a combiner instead of just another oversized humanoid.

I wasn't trying to insult ROTF Devastator, who I also quite liked. I worded that wrong, and for that I apologize. All I meant was I'd like to see their take on the traditional combiner formula as well. I grew up with the movies, and such Devastator was my first introduction to combiners. I thought he was awesome as a kid and still do. But I'd also like to see the movie take on an enormous humanoid combiner, just because I think it would be really cool as well, y'know?

Not really. A combiner is made up of many robots combining into one. ROTF Devastator was just objects forming a robot together. That isnt a combiner by any TF definition so far (not even PCC combiner).
its more like a duocon but made up of 5 vehicles.

Hot Rod using parts from other figures like Roadbuster

Skullitron's leg is photo shopped to "remove" the dragon head

And Nitro's gun is cut off just liked the leaked photo of his toy in an image that should show the whole thing.

While I think of this myself is there any actual word of this like from Hasbro or the film makers?
I mean in this very movie Onslaught and Canopy are Long Haul's with new parts who is to say there are not more duplicates.

None. They just reuse models because its cheaper. Plus it works within the whole idea that these are soldiers sharing similar bodies (but even then I dont think they think that far).
Also, damn it does look fake now, fuck!
