New ROTF Human Alliance Sideswipe And Epps Image

4chan- An image sharing site has had this new stock photo of ROTF Human Alliance sets Sideswipe and Epps, and Bumblebee and Sam uploaded and shared on it.
While Seibertron.com has its own HA Bumblebee and Sam gallery, the images of Sideswipe and Epps have been few and far between. The first and only real image that we saw came from Toyfare Magazine, and the toy looked to be transformed incorrectly.

The reason I haven't been bothered with deluxe-class Sideswipe and Skids is because I'd rather pick up their HA version. Still kinda think Epps is mismatched in this pairing, but he's got a better deco in this graphic than i did in previous shots I've seen. Maybe can switch him with Mikaela...

Sideswipe looks pretty spiffy. He's got actual firepower: Shoulder cannons. He is missing the car head lights and front fender sections on the feet.
But he looks great.

Erm, the actual concept images don't have the fenders on the feet, either. This is closer to the movie version than the Deluxe figure.

Given their Alternators-esque size and detail level (and approximate plastic content), I would expect their price to be in the same ballpark. Adjusted for recent price increases, that would put them somewhere in the $25-30 range...

Bumblebee i might get. It looks like a decent figure with a some what complicated transformation. Im going to pass on Swipe. The deluxe version looks so much better in bot mode. And at the price these are going to go for i cant just buy it for the car mode.

That's funny. Sideswipe now looks better and worse at once. The good: he's alot more sleeker than his stock photography showed and has proper stands on his wheel-feet (no deluxe-class balance issues, i hope). The bad is that his back-kibble is basically the shell of his alt-mode rear (is that lettering I see on it?) and his blades seem short and punier compared to his deluxe-version. Also, either it's me or they seem to hint at being made of rubbery, bendy plastic. Lastly, Epps seems to have rather lanky limbs (lankier compared to Sam's).

I'll decide whether or not to buy when i see these in person. Botcon pictures showed me that Sam has a really nice sculpt. Pictures on this site showed me his paintjob is FUBAR. If it is that bad when i see it in stores not getting it.

Alternators cost us £20 in the UK and all the stores here currently have HA Bumblebee at £30 so it's quite a big increase.
I'm honestly tempted with BB but seeing more pictures of Sideswipe is honestly putting me off the line, he looks a little short and dumpy and his blades look pathetic when you compare them to the deluxe. Also there is so little of the car used in the robot mode he's more or less a robot with a car on his back.

It looks so much better than the last pics but I think I'll pass cos I don't think he'll be anywhere near as great as HABB:
Transformation looks like it'll be about the same as the delux
Very tiny hands (Elliot Read and Catalina would hate him!)
It looks like there's no articulation for the ankles/foot support so I think poseability will be very limited
I don't like the hollow forearms
Blades don't seem to fold out of the way like the delux
Does he have ape arms or can his wrists rotate? Ape arms wouldn't surprise me, given the current trend in that department...
His chest is so wide his shoulder articulation will be limited severely - just like the delux.
Too many bad points, I've just persuaded myself to pass on this figure.
