Ok, so Amazon Australia just put up a bunch of new listings. Some we already saw before or knew were coming, like Terrorsaur and Artfire, but there are some new ones like Goldbug. There are also some real puzzling ones like a "Unicron Galvatron" which is a seperate and pricier listing that the Kingdom Leader Galvatron. We put some highlights below but the full list can be found at the Amazon Austrailia page.
You'll let us know what you think. That Project Bat one is particularly intriguing. The image below is just a fan made digibash for Nightprowler made from the Kingdom Cheetor toy by Trent Troop on Twitter.
Goldbug
Another Blurr
Sideswipe with Nightprowler
Golden Jackpot
Golden Tigatron
Golden Terrorsaur
Unicron Galvatron
Project Bat Action Figure
Studio Series DOTM Sideswipe
Studio Series 86 King Starscream
Selects Artfire

Blurrs probably target master at voyager price point jackpot is definitely interesting for me and goldbug (if it's a new mold rather than a repaint).

Those listings with the prefix "Golden" might be from a subline called Golden Disc. Because Golden (Lagoon) versions of these characters wouldn't make that much sense.

Yea, I would have preferred Grimlock, too. But you can always sell.blackeyedprime wrote:Well, so much for sideswipe coming with grimlock. I might end up with a crappy cheetor figure after all
Has a Deluxe class price point so far.Blurrs probably target master at voyager price point
Might be an SS-86 Jazz redeco with hopefully a Targetmaster due to the price point.jackpot is definitely interesting for me
Most likely a redeco of Netflix Bumblebee. I mean WHY should they already make a new mold?and goldbug (if it's a new mold rather than a repaint).
Also intriguing is that Golden Tigatron is cheaper than regular Tigatron.

Things to keep in mind:
-Every recent figure that's had a recent listing called Project ____ has been a crossover figure, meaning Project Park is probably the Rexy from Kingdom Megs we heard about before, and Project Bat is...something. One of the credible leakers is already specifically saying it isn't Batman-related, so who knows.
-The prices probably aren't accurate, since the product descriptions in the listings definitely aren't (and considering the fluctuations of non-retail pricing amongst the already released figures).
-If "Prime Optimus Prime" isn't a typo...interesting that that would be the first TF: Prime design to get a Generations figure, considering that design was really only different from regular G1 Prime due to the artstyle.
-Goldbug, Blurr, and Jetfire are allegedly parts of the Shattered Glass repaints subline (according to EAN numbers posted on TFW combined with pre-existing rumors for SG Goldbug & SG Jetfire), which would also explain the extra Megatron and Starscream listings as well.
-Further proof that "Golden Disc Collection" or whatever it's actually called is likely gonna be a full mini-line of exclusives like Galactic Odyssey, considering the now second appearance of Terrorsaur alongside these new additions. I guess Golden Tigatron is gonna be prototype orange? I don't think he's ever had any other repaints historically, and the listing still specifically calls him Tigatron as opposed to a separate character name.
-Whoever made the Studio Series listings can't keep track of movies 2 and 3, evidently, since I thought DotM Sideswipe was the one that already came out and Jolt definitely wasn't in DotM.
-"Unicron Galvatron" is probably the rumored mid-reformatting Galvatron repaint.
Very curious to see what comes of these listings overall.

Ugh...I mean I didn't actually buy Siege Sideswipe, so it's not like it's a duplicate for me, but that doesn't make me actually interested in Sideswipe at all. But it's not like we'll ever get a frickin Nightprowler again, so I guess I'll wait to see them and see if he makes it worth it.

I really hope they rerelease Gaia Unicron after they did Breakdown and Vehicon. Might be that Galvatron Unicron somehow (just wishful thinking).

Depending on how the retail version turns out, if this one isn't orange then it could just be in boring cream or white.

The first Sideswipe was indeed DotM and we're getting a presumably ROTF Jolt at regular retail. But these two could be exclusive repaints based on their various DotM toy line designs, like these two.

Yeah, that is an odd listing. Unless it's just like the netflix series and just him in a slightly different deco.

This is because this listing was found on Hasbro Pulse:
Additionally, this also seems to confirm the existence of am IDW Shattered Glass comic series, though if this is reprinting of old Shattered Glass material (from Fun Pub) or brand new stories remains to be seen.
It should be noted though that while the original Shattered Glass Blurr (seen as the article thumbnail), was a redeco of Armada Blurr, its likely that this one will just be a redeco of the recently released Studio Series 86 Blurr. We'll endeavour to bring you pictures as we get them.
There was a few other figures said to be part of this line including Megatron, Starscream and Jetfire.
What do you think of this news? Looking forward to building a Shattered Glass collection?
Shout out in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews!

Changes in brand teams and leadership positions have happened over the years.o.supreme wrote:It's not my are of interest, but I find it odd that for so long, Hasbro seemingly purposefully avoided the plethora of inexpensive repaints they could get from SG, and I guess now they are all in knowing that a contingent of fans want this. For the other stuff, that Sideswipe and Nightprowler set sounds tempting. I had never heard of Nightprowler before seeing this news so I had to look it up, but snow leopards are one of my favourite big cats and I like the sound of a snow leopard version of the Cheetor mould. An Earth-mode Sideswipe (assuming that's what it is) would be nice to have too, but I've got Hot Rod now, so I'm not sure if I really need a second red sports car Autobot.

That is pretty much what I was thinking. I know that 2021 SS and Kingdom were basically the last line Warden was team lead on, but similar to how his team started very late on T30. I think some of the new teams influence can be seen starting with the SG ER Prime and Ratchet, and will obviously carry on moving forward. I know in fiction some SG Combiners do exist, but I hope hasbro doesn't go there, at least nto for a while. Although I do have a couple SG characters as components of my combiners, redoing many of them in SG would definitely be detrimental to my wallet, also since there are several characters that haven't recieved proper updating yet, before they go to the deep deep well of every character in SG.

Well they didnt use the mold for bugbite when they should have and if it really is aSG version, meaning Evil, then there was no excuse for bugbite not to have been a reuse of Netflix Bee. Plus Goldbug should be a different mold to Bee anyways unless they were being lazy and using the name for a shiny G2 Bee.

Probably, The Ark was always a for sure purchase for me, BW Scorponok will be cool for fans of that Character. While this definitely is leaked from the Friday reveal, I hope that is not "All". This is just 3 toys (2 of which are first time new pics) among dozens that are being talked about.
I'm hoping we see most of not all of wave 3 & 4 of Kingdom, and definitely more SS

Oh dear, that Scorponok doesn't look very good. It may just be the angle he's positioned in robot mode, but the legs looks far too small for the rest of his body, and he seems a bit too top-heavy. Still, it's nice that he still has his bee drone in his claw.

I believe one of the leakers mentioned it as being on the table but they didn't know if it was happening or not, and from the context of when it was mentioned it would be a purple wireframe deco to depict the Megatron/Galvatron reformat from the movie. The WHAT

Makes you think though, is mold choice important for the SG releases? Like can it just be whatever mold is out for that character now and have it painted SG or should it resemble the mold that was initially used when coming up with the SG character?

Given the leakers have been specifying the leaked SG Megatron is supposed to be using the ER Megatron mold, despite original SG Megatron's reuse of the Energon Megatron mold being one of the few mold choices FunPub made for the original SG toys that the character really owned and made their own, I'm guessing yeah, all the upcoming SG releases will just reuse whatever their normal counterpat's most recent mold is.

But yeah, unless hasbro is hiding a very big ace up it's sleeve regarding the molds for this Shattered Glass line, I just going to be Redecos (and maybe slight retools) of characters out currently. I suspect this will be reflected in the IDW book as well, assuming it's not going to be reprinting FunPub content.
