What a sweet reversal, and sudden slight overuse of the mold. Wasn't Super Speedbreaker/Red Sideburn repaint the slight homage to Hot Rod?

- Rail Racer (Micromaster)
- Sky-Byte

They sound simultaneously interesting and very boring to me.

Well, I wouldn't say it was totally out of left field. Anyone who has seen the designs for Transtech Cheetor will notice the similarities between it and Animated Blurr. Looking forward to seeing what they come up with.

AniTranstech Cheetor... = Dunno
I'll be rejoining in 2011 for the figures outside of Cheetor.

I believe so, since your membership's good for one year, and (I think) March is the cutoff for the exclusive... still being a member by then I think you would qualify.grimdragon2001 wrote:ok ive never been a TFCC member before, but im getting more tempted by the day with this stuff. if i joined this or next month, would i qualify for the 2011 freebie?

Since the conheads are remolds (And, obviously, they can use Thrust), maybe we'll be seeing a regular release of Thundercracker after all ... or even a Sunstorm.

For Side Burn, I will join without question. I love R.i.D. more than any other series. I'd also like to see Binaltech Sunstreaker repainted as Speedbreaker, especially the BTA mold with convenient Junko figure.

JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Well what do you know? Side Burn is turned into Rodimus, now the opposite happens. Same thing happened with Skyquake and Starscream. Maybe more RiD characters will get updated? So far we have:
- Rail Racer (Micromaster)
- Sky-Byte
Well, I had a similar, but different color scheme in mind for making RiD Sky-Byte out of Energon's Sharkticon. This one replace all of the Sharkticon's lavender parts with ivory (like from either BW Fuzor Torca or the existing 2010 Sky-Byte), and adds a matching Mini-Con or 2 (a repaint of Oceanglide, and possibly Stormcloud) and a small Decepticon rub-sign on top of his bridge (which contrasts with the Predacon symbol I'd want on his head/front end).
Maybe Generations will get versions of Railspike, Rapid Run, and Midnight Express, but instead of making them shinkansen/bullet trains, make them turn into American locomotives, like the Fairbanks-Morse "Trainmaster", or EMD's SD70M-2/SD70ACe, or EMD's GP-38.
Universe Ironhide/Ratchet would make a good X-Brawn. (Not to mention SG Soundwave.)
I'd also get a kick out of seeing Universe Prowl or Red Alert made to look like (Super) Prowl.

G2 Ramjet? meh ... another rehash.
Transtech Cheetor? Now THAT sounds interesting!

If it's still in one piece. If my guess is correct (a big if), there are two sets of Seeker molds: one regular and one conehead. The regular Seeker mold seems to be past its peak, but the Conehead one is still fine. Compare the joints between Thrust and Starscream. There's no way there could be such a big difference in tightness if there was only one single set.

Nope, it was in use because we're getting Dirge

I don't quite understand. If that were the case, then wouldn't Ramjet also be unavailable?

The figures are mass-produced well in advance of their release. As the figures are currently being made, or are yet to be made, it'll be a while before Hasbro is done with the mold so FP can use it for Ramjet.

I think I'm still missing something here.
The mold for Thundercracker is in use because we're getting Dirge. But it's NOT in use for Ramjet because they've made Ramjet already. But Ramjet, like Dirge, is a remold of the Classics Seekers. So, if they're using the Starscream mold for Dirge right now, why is it available for Ramjet but not for AM Thundercracker?
Edit:
I suppose what I'm saying is that if the mold for Starscream were in use for Dirge we wouldn't be getting G2 Ramjet. Ramjet has to have a different mold otherwise they wouldn't be prohibited from using the classics Seeker mold because it was "in use".
It has to be "in use" for SOMETHING.
