the allspark posted several quotes from the hasbro panel at OTFCC, one of them said:

"- A 4th gestalt will be seen in the cartoon and summarily killed within the first episode. There will be no toy."

So it seems there will be indeed a 4th gestalt in the cartoon, just not in the toyline.
