Have you ever heard of a Retcon, ya know, those silly things where people write up a new story and change the original meaning of an older story with it? Short for Retroactive Continuity?
Are you tired of me asking silly questions yet?
Well, if you answered "yes" to any of those questions, we have a big reveal for you today. Via their Facebook page, we have confirmation that there will be a Transformers convention held in Sweden next year titled Retcon, returning Transformers conventions to that part of the world. We cannot provide you with too many details at this time, as they are pending and will hopefully be out sometime around August, but we can quote the Retcon Facebook post to give you the baseline information:
Alright folks!
We are happy to announce that 2017 will be the year when we once again see a transformers convention in the Nordic countries. We hope you are as excited about this as we are.
For the moment we are not able to disclose much information but we can tell you three things:
1. Date: 29th of April, 2017
2. Place: Helsingborg, Sweden
3. Registration will go live during August
Watch this space as more information becomes available.
Team RetCon
We will provide with more information as it becomes available, but it sounds like Transformers is ready to make its Nordic return.

We are extremely proud and very happy to be able to announce that RetCon's first guest of honour will be none other than the one and only Nick Roche!
Having been a part of the IDW universe since the early years and written, co-written and illustrated such smash hits as Last Stand of the Wreckers and Sins of the Wreckers, he surely needs no further presentation.
Nick will be on site for RetCon both for the friday pre-hang-out and all of the main convention day.

Furman was announced to attend along with writer/artist Nick Roche, meaning there will be some high profile comic people attending!
Retcon is the convention for the Nordic countries, so if you are a Transformers fan in the area, but your Tickets now!

The Nordic region is getting a Transformers convention again!
On Saturday 29 April 2017, we open the doors for RetCon 2017, and a day of great fun! The convention takes place at the hotel Good Morning+ Helsingborg in southern Helsingborg, just 1,5 km away from the ferry terminal and the central station. We have arranged with discounts at the hotel so that you can get your room cheaper during the weekend!
We are working hard to bring you the best possible programme, making sure there is something for just about everyone. There will be celebrity guests, toy vendors, an artist alley, quizzes, competitions, activities, exclusive figures, an exclusive comic, panels, hang-outs, and a lot more!
We have arranged with two special guests: none other than IDW writer/artist/legend Nick Roche and the living legend Simon Furman, who will be on site for RetCon both for the friday pre-hang-out and all of the main convention day, answering questions, writing autographs, taking pictures, and more!
The main convention opens at 11:00 and closes at 18:00.
For pre-registered attendees only there will also be a hang-out on Friday evening at 18:00 as well as on Saturday evening at 20:00.
Pre-registration has now closed. A limited number of walk-ins will still be admitted for the main convention, please send an e-mail to info@retcon.se to check if there are still any slots left.

Never liked that teeth mouthplate thing Grimlock had going though. It just looked off and a lot of the time ended up confusing me.
