Is it sad that I'm more excited for the last dregs of Combiner Wars than I am for the Return of the Headmasters?

I am more excited for Titans Return. It doesnt help that Combiner Wars closes on something I really dont care about (an autobot combiner with characters I already have, save for Skylynx).

Also, is anyone else getting a 3p vide from Hardhead?

I love Hasbro doing all this, they are reaching for fun ideas that both kids and collectors can enjoy.

I feel the same. I've never been a fan of headmasters myself but making characters like blaster and galvatron into something they've never been doesn't interest me the same way ironhide, streaker, mirage and prowl being combiners doesn't interest me.

I've been so excited over the headmasters idea (with some exceptions). This is great. I love Brainstorm and now he will have fellow headmasters to join him. I am so excited. Can't wait for more news

You know, I can't quite put a finger on it, but the art/sculpt style seems to be different than combiner wars. I like it.

It's really noticeable on Hardhead, but also on all of them. I agree with you, it's interesting :-?

I dont see how skullcruncher would indicate anything towards a predaking. They are from different G1 eras and have different gimmicks. Dont want to bring your idea down but I would suggest to not hope too much since I dont think one is an indication of the other.

Since we don't need two explanations for the same figure in a row I'll change my comment.

Is it just me or does that Hardhead look like a voyager and not a deluxe? It looks pretty damn beefy and looks to be larger overall than Skullcruncher. Also it might just be the illusion of distance in the pictures but Hardhead looks like he'd tower over Windblade and come up to around Bruticus' pelvis whereas Skullcruncher looks like he comes up to Sky Reign's knee.

I don't quite understand how Blaster & Galvatron being headmasters ruin the figure for some of you guys. Just don't take the head or helmet off...boom, no longer a headmaster.

Hardhead looks great. He's easily my favorite reveal. I will echo what some people have said & hope we get bodies to go along with the Nightbeat & Horribull heads.

Yes, I believe that's the Combiner Hunters version of Windblade, from the SDCC 2015 set.

When I was looking at the pictures before, it was on my phone. Now that I am looking at them on a regular screen, I see that Galvatron, unfortunately, does not have too heads, just a terrible looking mask that pops up. Still, I will be getting him.

It's not really an issue with Blaster, but Galvatron should not have a headmaster unit. He is the main Decepticon leader. He and Megs should be badass by themselves and not need additional members. Prime has been used so much as a combiner of any sorts that it's not really a sin to make him a combiner, plus as the autobot leader who needs any upgrade to deal with cons it's acceptable. Plus he has so many versions that have powermasters and such that virtually nothing can surprise us anymore with him.

Galvatron just no. He should be a lone insane gun.

Maybe, I guess. Or some new characters.

Or some more attention to RID 2015. I really don't like how it (and Rescue Bots) is being so ignored at these big events. Can you imagine how much more attention RID might get if as much effort was put into it as is put into Generations? I hate the idea that Hasbro wants older collectors to ignore it and just focus on Generations, which seems to just keep recycling the same characters from the same four to six years of G1, with the occasional bone thrown every now and then to something post-1980's/pre-2007 or to something completely new.

It just feels to me like this brand is stuck in a G1-obsessed rut that sprouted ever since the first Classics filler line started in 2006. The MPs are fine since they're giving us something that's been long overdue since the 1980's, but the CHUG stuff that just takes old characters and gives them a new look without any preexisting fictional precedence (which I'm sure IDW will eventually rectify for some of these, but still) just leaves me feeling as apathetic as I felt towards Classics in 2006-1007 and Universe in 2008-2009.

I understand you don't like the concept. I get it & I agree. But that shouldn't ruin the toy. All you have to do is not remove his head & you have the Galvatron you want.

Skullcruncher would give one hope that g1 beast modes are still viable. I know going into a new line Hasbro might be unwilling to go back on combiner wars but I hope that they don't headmaster gimmick everything as from what I've encountered people either hate or love the idea. Personally I don't like the idea.I guess wwe'll have to wait and see what more Hasbro shows at nycc.

I do like the figure i really do! Don't think I don't like the figure. It looks good and it's one that is well overdue. just the headmaster idea is hard for me to swallow. The Megatron head does look nice though, I will give the Megatron thought that.

And yeah, we can never fully predict hasbro :lol:

Also, great job on spotting that Megs as his head, this makes the toy even mroe awesome and makes me less mind the headmaster gimmick on Galvatron. I am also really glad he gets his alt mode back. If I am not mistaken, this is the very first time Hasbro ever releases a Galvatron toy with the right alt mode and colour.

D, the only real "should" is that we should never expect Hasbro to do what we think they should.

Also, great job on spotting that Megs as his head, this makes the toy even mroe awesome and makes me less mind the headmaster gimmick on Galvatron. I am also really glad he gets his alt mode back. If I am not mistaken, this is the very first time Hasbro ever releases a Galvatron toy with the right alt mode and colour.

*looks at all of Galvatrons toys on wiki, realizes that Will is right again* :shock:

I see where this is going. These arn't Head Masters. Their larger bodies are the Titans.
so this is like a Transtecters type o'thingy.

I think the more important question here is how does Sentinel come into this story wise????

Also, he has a badass looking style in those pics and designs from the titan wars poster from a few months ago. Within a year or 2 of each other, i will get my first "G1" Optimus, Rodimus, Galvatron, Megatron and Sentinel Prime. That is a pretty amazing concept.

And this sentinel will put my DotM one to shame. Plus, this is the first G1 sentinel toy! Hoorah!

Wait a sec, rewind hs 3 modes.

Look at the tank turret, you can flip down the grey parts so that they end up flush and make an even rectagular prism aka a tape (or soemthing of the sort). Then he can end up in Blaster.

And just saying this now, I dont have the money for all of this (especially if I am getting MP Shockwave). And I wouldnt spend my limited money on 2 base former casette players. So if they are making Soundwave out of this Blaster mold, then I will skip Blaster all together and jus get Soundwave.
