These figures, are basically jousting toys in which the toys smash into each other, knocking the rider figures off. The dinos fire sparks out as they go, adding some visual flare to the gimmicks.
In the images, we see both the Drift with Slug and Optimus Prime with Grimlock sets. These will see release on May 17th, along with the rest of the Age Of Extinction toy lines.

Posted by KREOFAN85 on March 14th, 2014 @ 10:55am CDT

ya mean to tell me, that those listings of the suppose 'cyberverse' line turns out this be this? this dino sparkers CRAP?! So the one line i've collected is being canned for sparkers and fast action battlers. way to fuck me in the ass hasbro...
i mean, i would hope we still get generations legends! hell, that minicon assault team deluxe was great for my collection. i actually hope hasbro makes more of those!
i hope cyberverse will return again, or atleast make a re-vision/remake of the micro masters line! i demand and desire small transformers damnit! with playsets, and bases!
knowing cyberverse and legends/legions wont make it to the movie retail market really makes want to

Considering they look like one piece of plastic I'm gonna say no they don't transform.
Posted by BERSEKAEL on March 15th, 2014 @ 2:44am CDT

I hope they will show soon the main toy line

KnightStrike wrote:Holy Firecon flashbacks, Batman. I am actually amazed that in this day and age when they can't release a toy with pointy bits that aren't rubbery that they would release a toy that sparks. Soon as I saw it my first thought was that some where someone here in the USA is already dreaming up a get rich quick lawsuit or some advocacy group is preparing to get all up in arms and firing up their blog rants
Not quite, if I read the packaging correctly the sparks are contained within the toy, no cold sparks are emitted from the mouths. Which is just as well, wouldn't want any kids to catch fire, would we?

No one knows where these came from yet.

I'm taking bets that these are the "Stolen Chinese Blood Money Editions".

Exactly my point. Just because it is a US seller does not mean they were bought in the US. Until a receipt from a US toy store is presented this is a false claim.
Sorry but if you are going to put something out there like this as news you have to have facts to back it up.

And that's not all! Hound Meta also posted an in package image of Voyager Class Hound on the same Facebook stream.

This is the first time we've seen both figures in detail since Toy Fair back in February. If the release pattern in the past holds true for AoE, we should see waves 1 and 2 see release at the same time on May 17th, but it is not guaranteed. Both Hound and Slash are wave 2 items.
We've mirrored both images here for easy viewing.

From what I can tell, Hound looks like a shell-former and Slash looks terribly mistransformed.
It amuses me that an alien robot Raptor has "feathers", especially when the people working on Jurassic Park 4 claimed their 'real' Raptors wouldn't have any.

Since when does bay care about realism? He only does stuff cause he thinks it looks cool even if its completely ludicrous. Just look at how the bots look & transforms, all you have to do to stop a bayformer is throw a metal pipe at him half way through transforming.

Small pics, but that looks like an awful lot of extra box above and below BulkHound. Probably just a standardized size for larger voyager figures (Dinobots wih big wingspans for example) but I noticed it. Want more pictures, I will probably get them both, but what I'll do with them I don't know.

The other picture is of Hound and all of his accessories out of package. Dude's packin' serious firepower and looks like he's going to be a one man army!

Had to use the built in Windows magnifier to make 'em bigger (no photo editing software on the PC I'm using at the moment.)
But, it's not going to get much better than this until we receive better images. Still, this is good stuff, folks.

Yeah, I get the fact that they are simplified for the little kids, shoot I'm one of the first people to jump on folks' cases about ragging on kids toys but COME ON HASBRO!! They could have made them simpler without making them look like total junk. Even the Rescue Heroes toys look more appealing than these things. I can chew up cardboard and sh** a paper-former with more character, appeal and articulation than these things.

I can kinda see a similarity. The silhouette is close, though could be coincidental.

so is more likely is just coincidence
