Yeah and that, hoping to be Compatible on PoTP Rodimus Prime Battle-Armor or something, i mean a Headmaster, Powermaster and a Targetmaster would cause a great result

I would set your expectations low on that part. I really do not believe that will be happening or else it would make one of them very redundant. But hey you could make TR Hot Rod wear Rodimus' matrix as a head so there is interplay of some sort.

The source appears to be 4chan, though at the time of writing the original link could not be found, but the background of the image does indeed show the correct font and beginning of the line's name. Check it out for yourselves below, and stay tuned next week for official information about upcoming new toys from Hasbro and Hascon!

Look at that thing. Is that supposed to be a person? The colors are all wrong, the details are blurry, and it dosent even have a face! Truly the designers made no effort here. 0/10 will not buy.

Hasbro should bring back that concept and discard the "teasers" and "reveals" concepts because its a total failure.

Come on guys, I love you all but I don't know whats the use of fussing over any of this when we know its a mock up. We were pissed last time when hasbro showed a similar non transforming mock up of Trypticon at a closed doors event and now they are actually letting us see the process instead of us hearing it second hand. I think its an excellent step in the right direction and something we all wanted. Like when Takara shows concept art before a toy is out or grey model. So why are we pissing on Hasbro for letting us in on their process and showing us where they are at? They feel they can trust that we wont overreact by seeing something unfinished but the comments I read tell me that maybe they should revert to their old tactic of holding off before showing us stuff. Which I feel would be a loss for us.
We are smarter than this, I don't know why we cant appreciate this look into their process instead.

I LOVE checklists and I would love if they brought it back. I personally am all in favour of them letting us know what to expect in the next year for budgetting purposes and the like. I dont need to see them all exactly but I would like to know what is to come. Especially in a time when there are multiple versions of characters already and I may be interested in getting an "older" version.
I just like being a knowledgeable consumer is all and checklists are fun.

That's an early production mock up. That means that the final figure will likely look nothing like that at all.

I don't mean to rock the Hasbro Is Lifeboat here, but you know they are a company, right? And if they put out things people want, people will buy them; and if they put out things people don't want, they won't buy them? It's not about "trusting" anybody. And whether or not they 'allow' us to see these production steps, we would see finished products eventually?
I also think it's cool to see work in progress images, but it's not like we're being treated extra well by Hasbro. We're getting leaked images, so realistically, it's not even clearly Hasbro that's providing us with this information.
Although, curious how some leaks are defended as being legit, while others are decried as being blatantly false, when they all end up being more or less the same...

Like the Combiner Wars mock ups that ended up looking exactly like Superion and Menasor? Clearly Predaking is a work in progress, but "nothing like it" is a real reach. It obviously won't be this detailless and everything, but the basics are all here that we'll see later.

I had no idea that happened. For reference, I didn't start following leaks and reveals until about halfway through Combiner Wars.

Well then, you would have missed it for sure. There were mock ups or real early production samples of CW Superion and Menasor at NY Toy Fair (I think....) and they were clearly not final production samples, but were CW Superion and Menasor all the way. People kept saying that they'd probably be different when they were released, but they were not.
Again, it's obvious that this is not what this Predaking is going to look like in the end, but it's safe to say that this is a pretty good general idea. Details are missing, and molding and individual robots and stuff, but if you added those things to this mock up, that's what it's going to look like.
Unless for some reason, they're going the route of those large solid plastic figures, ala Star Wars and Marvel and such.

That mockup doesn't solve the mystery on how Razorclaw is going to end up, aside from as a CW Long Haul redux. At least the arms won't have extra pieces on their back, like Bandai's Shogun Megazord.

Honestly though, normally my excitement for a leak's content can outweigh my disagreement with how it's procured, but so soon before Hascon? This just feels a little rude, honestly.
...it's still quite exciting though
It does seem odd to be seeing such an early mockup, this feels like a proof-of-concept more than anything (theres clearly no level of transformation in the individual figures); whilst we've seen the occasional prototype before I can't recall ever having seen something at this unfinished a stage. Makes me wonder what the projected release date for the set is, actually...

We didnt have teasers or reveals because they prove nothing but stupidity. If anything the cartoons were teasers because we got the toys after seeing (and dying to get) the newest characters. The constant toy leaks every year from the Chinese homeland are proof that the tease and reveal strategy is a total failure. Maybe if Hasbro decided to move their Anerican designed toy operation to America and pay loyal American workers fair American wages, the leaks would cease. (And yes most of the Hasbro design team are now Americans, I been to enough Botcon design team pannels)
But with that being said, I think they should just bring back the checklist. Especially after Hascon fails this week. Other than the owners of fan sites, I dont see many fans on either here or tfw2005 making the pilgrimage to hascon to witness the big reveals that our good friends in China already revealed in style.

Maybe it's the angle of the picture, maybe it's that it's a rough mock up, maybe it's just me, but the Razorclaw section seems closer in area to the rest of the predacons than the amount of space that Long Haul takes up in Devastator. If that doesn't end up being the case, I really won't mind having a larger leader, but on the G1 version, they're really not any different in size.

They contract factories outside of America because it's cheaper to do so. In fact, I've heard that the factories are technically contracted by Takara, not Hasbro. I don't know if it's true or not, but if it is, then it's all technically Takara's fault, not Hasbro's.
If I'm remembering correctly, the Unicron Trilogy had checklists as well, or at least product catalogs. If my memory isn't faulty, then that means I grew up with checklists as well. I honestly could care less if they came back or not. They're just pieces of paper to me.
