PE-DX01 RC Confirmed as Arcee Homage

Wow, it does look really good in the pink color. Bracing my wallet for some repaints as well... I'm wagering teal-green, blue, red, white, black, and junkeon brown/orange.

Okay, I'm man enough to admit that I may, just may, have just squealed with glee. A bit. Seriously though, I dig the coloring on the this and its now a must have for me.

Is it just me or do all of the Autobots suddenly seem to be not only expert marksmen with giant sniper rifles but also dual pistol wielding fighters. I am all about the big sniper guns but really if that was the case the war would have ended a looooooooong time ago.

While it's nice, I already have two 3rd party Arcees. Don't know if I can justify plunking down 100 bucks for another.

Wish Hasbro would get off their duffs and make a proper one.

Hmmm, have mixed feelings about this:

Have Delicate Warrior, and it's a lock for G1/Classics Arcee (as well as transforming to the 'era-correct' hovercar thingy....)

Want this, as it's a 'new' take on Arcee - great update of the CHUG aesthetic, with a nod to the cycle alt-mode....

But, as shown with Transformers Prime Arcee, does a 21st Century female-gendered TF (if there is such a thing really ) HAVE to be girlie pink?

I actually like the colouration of TFP Arcee and ROTF Chromia better - why not blue.? Hoping for a near-release repaint offering, tbh, as I will get this, but would prefer it in blue (as I suspect Arcee will be portrayed as a neutral blue more often (her 'gender' not being an issue anymore)

For real! It's only been about 20 years. They could make one in a mainstream color... then put the cartoon accurate pink one in a box set with a couple other recolor bots, sent to a retailer exclusive.

I already have an Arcee so I don't care what it's supposed to be. I'm using it as Nancy, the female Junkion.

I like the rendering with the color.. Very nice.

Wow, I'm in the minority it seems. The color just ruins it for me. I'm likely waiting for a repaint unless that pink is toned down a bit. The figure still looks great but that colors blows it.

Not much ground clearance in alt mode. She'd better not try to drive over any speed bumps!

I'm getting to like this more and more, but not as Arcee.

I like both fembots and Bike-bots, so this is a lock for me, and I' can see a legion of repaints/remolds on this too.

As long as the price is pretty reasonable (less than $50), I'm in.

i like everything except for the red accents. maybe a light blue or a pale green would look good instead?

I could see if all the female TF's were pink, but as far as I know, only two of them are, with the rest a multitude of colors (blue seems to be the majority winner with Chromia, Moonracer, and two versions of Arcee) It's also not like there weren't other TF that were pink, especially as the line sailed into G2.

I dont have Arcee in any shape or form so this will do fine, she fits in nice with the churg/cybertronian look very well.

The rifle looks just as good as she does, cant wait to the finished product.

I have no problem with the older iterations using the pink, sometimes as a jump-off point (Binaltech), or as a deeper colour (Animated), or as an identifier (of the ROTF triplets, Arcee HAD to be pink), but, as a signatory colour for a modern take, feminism in fiction has made great strides since the 80s - compare G1 Arcee with TFP Arcee - just my opinion though.

I wonder if they'll make a Night Ops version. I liked the teaser with the Reflector figure.

That comment was made before we even saw clear images of the mold.

As for my thoughts, I'm actually not real excited about the coloring. I'm sure it won't be quite as "poppy" on the actual figure so I'll probably like it more then. I still hope for a couple teosinte though as well.

For me, it's kind of a bummer that it turned out not to be a Junkion, but I'll live.I do like it, though, and may get it. Hopefully they'll make a repaint for Chromia too...........

I was interested in this when I first saw the images. Partly due to my love of Perfect Effect's product line and my son is all about forcing the Transformer love on his mother (he's four and makes her pretend to be Arcee all the time). I already have the iGear version of Arcee, which I love, so I'll probably hold off till they come out with the other fembots. Judging by how they have many versions of Faith Leader and came out with 2 versions of Kup's head from the start, I'm confident they'll do it.

But...if these will be coming out at about the same time as the Transformers Prime series does, I may have to wait longer to pounce. He's definitely going to want that line and it has a motorcycle Arcee already.

Looks fairly awesome to me. I shall be getting this one.

Yeah, but there's a point when knocking on pink becomes boomerang sexist. Personality-wise, I get what you're saying, but visually it shouldn't matter. Would TFP Arcee be any less of the character she is if she were pink? Perhaps part of the issue isn't so much that G1 Arcee is pink, but that NONE of the boys are (outside G2, which is dismissed as their bad fashion era).

You know, pink used to be a boy color before girls took it over. And blue was the girl color. Because pink was considered to be a shade of red while blue was softer.

Anyhow, I'm a GeeWunner, so Arcee is pink and Galvatron's purple, and Hot Rod's red with a flame deco, etc.

These colors definately make me think of this as Arcee, but ... Delicate Warrior really is all I ever wanted from a 34d party Arcee. I'll buy a Classics Arcee from Hasbro, but I think I'm done paying $100 for a figure of the character.

Her robot mode seems a bit bulky to be Arcee but the vehicle mode looks really awesome.

I'm totally cool with the confirm on the Arcee homage, because PE WILL sell repaints at some point. They haven't missed one yet.

Very dissapointed that the figure is Arcee. Ill buy it cause the body is cool, but Impossible toys took care of Arcee urges a long time ago. This would have been a perfect female Junkion.

Maybe Renderform can do a G1 Elita-1 head for this pink body.

Hmm, it's almost too pink. Like nearly magenta, much like Animated Arcee. I would've preferred a paler pink. But it still looks nice.

This is so bought. Love this proposed color scheme... and ready for 1-2 repaints too.

While the bike mode looks a little bulky it's still a nice looking figure, just not what I'm after in an Arcee. I'd like to know what this sudden infatuation is with sniper rifles.

I'm starting to like the idea of TF fembots as a sort of "subspecies" of TF (like Junkions, Sharkticons, etc. - heck even the The Seekers could fall into that category) that are all warrior/biker chicks (like a TF version of Amazonians), preferably with retooled heads and slight body-retooling to give an air of individuality.

I'm confident the Chromia/Moonracer/elita -1 typical lineup is guaranteed. I'm hoping for a Decepticon Slipstream and Junkion though. Rated X hit it on the head for a female Junkion. I just hope the price is cheap enough to justify a custom, I want an Akira crossover!

Looks great. But one minor complaint...

Arcee is a CAR dang it!

Both iGear and impossible Toys tried their hardest to look faithful to the original design. Both produced decent figures that certainly looked good enough in both forms, but IMHO neither hit me as really fun transformers. I think the issue is Arcee's design was never suited to transform in the first place.

I knew that if FansProject or Perfect Effect took a swing, they'd throw out accuracy and take artistic lisenses up the wazoo to make a classics-style Arcee that works.

My guess is an homage to all Arcees, with the vehicle mode of Prime RC, the head and backpack of G1 RC, and legs of Prime RC and the swords in the backpack of TFA RC.

PerfectEffect have updated their blog with a new set of PE-DV01 RC renders showing off the upcoming figure's poseability and parts layout. The Arcee homage will come well armed with two swords, two pistols, and a large sniper rifle. The boosters also appears to be removable. Check out the new images mirrored below.

Holy cow, Arcee is packing a full armory I'm going to have to get one of these, looks highly poseable and has a cool looking alt mode to boot. I'm actually okay with the changes to her alt mode, as in motorcycle instead of car. Mainly because it works as far as looking cool goes and it actually makes sense that her fighting style is based more on speed and agility so her alt mode should have those same capabilities. Of course I also liked that RTS Perceptor was updated to a scientific research vehicle so I guess I am pretty forgiving about these things

I don't think I've ever flip-flopped over a figure so much in such a short time period. I'm loving what I see here. I still think the pink is way too rich and I still hope that changes. I might go ahead and get this when orders go up and see what we get for repaints. If I like what else is done better, I can always sell this off.

Ok, I've been skeptical about this when I first saw the prototype... now, after seeing the renders, I want it so bad. Hope it doesn't cost like the I-gear one...

I'm kinda hoping for a Flamewar homage if they do a black one. Flareup would be great too. Hell, anything would really work for me here. Nancy, Paradron medic, the list is fairly short but the opportunity for multiple redecos is certainly there. That pink that's used in these images spoils it for me though.
