Seibertron.com member mattj972 notified us that Amazon has sale on the shared exclusive Platinum Edition Predaking (G1 reissue) for an amazing $49.99 and it ships free, even without Amazon's Prime service! At this price, there's a chance it could sell out, so if you're on the fence, the time to act is now.

I love Seibertron and have been coming here for many years - but as awesome as it is to see the news and time frame for new figures - NOTHING beats news of a deal this good on such an awesome figure.

I emailed the news crew with this story over an hour ago, but it looks like Matt must have emailed them earlier than I did!

Snagged mine. I figure that this is an unbeatable price....correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the individual Predacons were around $15 in 1986. Today, they would cost around $100 brand new, in 2013 money. This sale is like getting them half off in the 80s!

That is insane! One of the few times I wish I didn't have the Takara version only so I could take advantage of such a good deal. Oh well, I've been enjoying mine for a couple years now so I've had my money's worth.

Awesome news for anyone looking to get this still and I highly recommend it to those on the fence.

I was thinking the same thing ... until I found out Predaking comes with an extra sword. A goldish/brown colored version of Beast Hunters Optimus Prime's sword comes with this set. That was all I needed to know to sell me on this set. I just found out a few weeks ago that it came with this. Glad I waited for once to get a figure.

This is likely a clearance/inventory blow out and the last time it will be available at or under retail. Just a theory.

I was waiting for this kind of deal for this toy. Jumped on it last night. Can't wait to get it, $50 for a G1 Predaking is unfathomably cheap, I mean, that's gotta be less than 1980's retail. The new deco and new accessory helps too, I can put it on my ehobby/etc shelf.

Awesome price. I also had a $10 giftcard for Amazon so I got it for $39.99. It's going to be great having G1 Predaking on my shelf for much less than I ever expected to pay for it.

Opened mine up and I was shocked to realize that the peghole for Predaking's right arm (Rampage) is too wide and thus cannot create a secure connection. Thankfully Amazon has a great return/exchange policy and I was fortunate enough to secure another Predaking. Now I hope that this one doesn't have the same issue.

Anyone else experience anything similar with this iteration of the mold?
