I'm with you on the other two, but have we ever had a Bumblebike before? (Besides actual bicycles with Bumblebees on them) To me, he has potential as a Junkion Bay fanboy.Sabrblade wrote:Bee as a motorcycle, huh? And, not surprisingly, he transforms an awful lot like Armada Sureshock. Maybe this will end up being confirmed as Bumblebee's sister when it gets a Japanese release? Oh, what fun havoc Rescue Bots could still wreak on Aligned Continuity before it's done...

Optimus & Bumblebee are featured in the show.

And, is that a T-Rex with devil horns?! And in Optimus's color scheme?!

And with a big Dinobot-centric movie out this summer to remind everyone that they've been doing transforming dinosaur robots for almost 3 decades now, the timing makes it look more like VTech ripped Transformers off, even though they've never really done a team of toddler-friendly dinosaurs with vehicle alts before.
Clever girl, Hasbro. Clever.

We got our first look at these new figures late last month when Smyths Toy Store posted official images of Optimus Prime and Heatwave. Yeah, and the only oddball of the bunch is the jet with Blades' deco, which would be weird for him to be the only non-dino on the team.El Duque wrote:Blew the image up and checked it out a little closer. It appears the the dinos pictured are the Rescue Bots with dinosaur modes. The triceratops has boulders feet back near his tail and dozer treads on it's front legs. The t-rex appears very Optimus Prime-ish. The brontosaurus is Heatwave? Bumblebee also has claws on his right arm.

While it is possible for them to be depicted an triple- or quad-changers on the show, Heatwave becoming a fire-boat implies to me that the fire-fightin' sauropod isn't Heatwave because Griffin Rock would still need something to fight terrestrial fires. Of course, he could just walk everywhere in robot mode.

Also that Optimus is surprisingly cool looking, I would buy that.

Autobot032 wrote:These are neat, but if I were Bandai, I'd consider suing Hasbro for that Optimus design. That T-Rex look and transformation is rather close to what Kyoryuger's main mecha looks like.
Well, good thing you're not Bandai.
But yeah, I can see the similarities, but they're subtle. I doubt Bandai would have any grounds for a case. Plus, Gabutyra's head and tail can't become arms.

The pic makes it look like it is just Optimus Prime due to the color scheme and face, but I wanted to double check first.

Well, the old "Hearts of Steel" comic had Optimus be a Brachiosaurus before scanning his locomotive altmode.Janus Prime wrote:Nice! I´m a huge Beast Wars fan but I feel like the mere existence of the franchize has kept Hasbro from giving beast modes to their characters. To me it´s cool that the Rescue Bots team sat down and thought "if Optimus Prime was a Dinosaur, what kind of Dinosaur would he be?".

All it said was 'Optimus Primal', no additional information other than the artwork we also have here. Looks like a pretty cool, chunky, simple toy though!
