Premium Series Jazz in Package Images

You'd think they could at least give him the Crescent Cannon instead of that extendy thing, since they've already got a mold made for a movie-accurate weapon and they're not changing much otherwise.

The only differences are a better paint application and a lighter gold on him...that is it.

that was the Allspark release Jazz, with baby-blue paint highlights.

Seriously enough frickin repaints already. Bring us the classics 2.0 and stop repainting everything over and over. This crap will clog the shelves and waste HASBRO a ton of money.

i already have the regular jazz and i dont see so much of a difference to blow $10 on a figure that looks so similar

if they dont get figures that we realy want why dont we boycot

No thanks, I waited for the battle dammaged version of Jazz because he had a better weapon. A slightly different paint ap won't get my $10 this time around.

if i ddint have jazz allready i would have picked this version up nice try hasbro you wont get me with this figure but it would be good for other popel that couldnt find him at first

If people keep buying these repaints, Hasbro will continue to be lazy and milk these molds. Put an end to it. Don't buy repaints. Beat them into submission. New toys please and release Classics 2.0 already!

I will continue to buy repaints as I for one like them. If people quit buying repaints (which they wont) Hasbro wouldn’t quit making them, remember making a repaint costs Hasbro as much as it would to continue making the figure we already have, but instead of putting the same figure in new assortments they can spruce it up a little with a new deco and make a new character.

Some of you may already notice that the pic of Premium Jazz on the back of his card has the exact same image of the original Jazz on the back of the original card. Weird huh?

Just when I think I'm done with the movie line they come up with more. I'm so up in the air anymore with buying repaints. Just when I say "oh that one looks cool" they come out with a different one. I dont mind repaints because I usally buy what I like but this movie line is making me dizzy

Did anybody notice any difference??? I guess I am too blind with all the shining from crApnimated toys news that I did not notice much improvements

It almost looks like it from the way the light is reflected, but it's hard to see for sure.

If it is, I'll get it, because I didn't get the original or final battle.
Otherwise I may pass on him completely and save that $10 for an Animated or Classics.

Why does everybody hate the premium line? The first thing I heard when the movie toys came out was “Ugh, the paint applications are horrid!” So Hasbro gives us better paint applications and all I hear is that everyone’s sick of repaints.

I never said that I hate it but I do agree that Hasbro is trying to get as much money out of people as they can. I do wish that they had better quality movie figures from the very beginning.

If they're gonna repaint stuff, they should go ahead and make it look different.

As for your negativity about Animated? If Hasbro thought it wouldn't sell, they'd put it on ice.

I'm more than ready to get some new molds, and I'm sure Hasbro will be happy to stop sharing their money with GM and Paramount. I night pick up a few things as the movie line goes on, but honestly, I think the premium series will bite them in the ass if they don't make damn sure these things don't look like the same ones from nine months ago.

"Premium" should be with die-cast metals, metalic paint and rubber wheels.

Yeah, I agree. But knowing Hasbro, they'll release the deluxe one with the craptacular arms that won't stay together.

Why don't they actually fix the figure. Give him better articulation, acual hands, a good paint job

I guess all premium deluxe will have the same packaging. I was hoping they would pack them in robot mode to differentiate them from the prior releases. It looks like I will be skipping this repaint line. Except maybe for Concept BB because I love the mold.

nekoman, you honestly believe that the hasbro deciaion makers (whoever they are) are shaking in their boots saying 'oh dear the animation toys just arent going to sell'.

At which point in the product development do you think they came to that realisation? only once they had already made 10,000 of each (or however many they make initially), when its a bit late to do much about it.

There is no reason whatsoever to imagine that hasbro are feeling that the animation toys wont sell. The only thing i can imagine that would persuade me is that a large experiment was conducted, hasro got about 100 kids aged 7-10, put them in a big room with a massive set of movie toys and a massive set of animation toys (also have teh animation episodes running, remember they cant watch the movie) and the kids simply ignored the animation toys and played with the movie ones. that might cause the hasbro decision makers to worry.

I think you maybe pushing a rather large assertion without any evidence.

The movie line is selling better than any TF line Hasbro has produced in the last 10 years. Many retailers ordered fewer units than they could have sold over Christmas, and a lot of places sold out. With the DVD out, demand is still high.

Animated isn't being 'held back' for any dark purpose. The movie line is being extended because it's hot, and Hasbro are focussing on rereleasing characters that were in the film because they sell a lot better. Animated just won't come out for a while, which is fine because it will help to build demand and in the meantime kids can always get movie figures to tide them over. In other words- everything is fine. Nothing is ruined. Animated will be awesome, but those of us who got in sharp on the movie toys will be playing the waiting game for a while.

There's always eBay, and tracking down older stuff. I'm gonna go look for a Gnaw.

If we understand this as a toy to own in addition to the original, it's crummy and pointless.

If we understand this as a re-release of an extremely popular line that sold out, it makes perfect sense. It's a slight touch-up on a figure they expect more people to buy.

I wish that Animated toys would get onto the shelves, too, but Hasbro sees themselves making more money off the movie line, and they're probably right.

I know. Hasbro's just trying to make sure they keep the franchise healthy and make money. I'm not saying there's malicious intent. Hasbro's generally been pretty good tot his fanbase.

I'm just not happy about having to wait longer. It's the counting-the-days-until-christmas kind of aniticipation, really, the kind that makes you giddy and yet makes you wanna pull your hair out at the same time. I know the wait will be worth it... But that just makes it harder to wait!

Well I don’t have any evidence but it was slightly sarcasm. I think Animated wont be the hit a lot of people put it out to be, but it will probably do just about as good as a regular TF series.

My real point is that they probably got pushed back because the toys just didn’t make it in time and Hasbro didn’t want people getting a Prime with no paint or bumblebee who’s chest falls apart or some other guy who falls apart right out of the package.

Back to how animated will do, I think if you compare how hard it was to find the movie toys when they came out as to how hard it is to find animated figures when they come out, you may notice that on June second 08 you’ll see more bumblebees than 07. But, hey, think of it this way. If animated does okay but not too good, you and everyone who likes it wont have a hard time finding the toys.

I'm right there with everyone else when I say that I am sick and tired of Hasbro and their repaints, I want to see something new, like the animated toys. Or better yet, accelerate the release of Classics 2.0, please don't make me wait until this Fall!

Probably every movie figure will come out as Premium soon.

This Jazz is like Jesus. He died, but he keeps coming back to haunt us. However, unlike Jesus I won't mind this reanimated corpse being in my house :]... because I missed out on all the other releases of Jazz. Being unemployed during a pretty impressive toyline sucks D:

I have nothing against the Premium Series. I will try and get most of them. Not having the original Jazz is also a plus. But I will get Premium Prime even though I have the original.
