Prologue Comic for Upcoming Takara Legends Black Convoy Revealed

I really need to stop calling things like the Devil Ostrich, and giving them ideas!

Looking at the comic closely, it looks like it's not just a new version of Brave Maximus, but rather it's based on the limited Robot Masters release! Master and Zebres are the names used for the smaller components, plus the power source Solitarium gets a call-out.

And it looks like it ties in with another story involving Cloud World and the Zamojin (the EX Deadlock chapter, which accounts for Skids' presence as well). Devil Gigatron either had a run-in with them or heard of them, resulting in a change of heart that Black Convoy is not too happy with. The resulting fight reduced him to a protoform-like state which resembles a Titan Master.

We'll probably see how he gets his new body in the next part.

Am I getting this right? Devil Gigatron joined the Autobots and uses his Devil Ostrich 11th mode to fry Black Convoy which reduces him to just his human portion? The last part was expected, but that first part is quite the unexpected twist.

Master and Zebres are mentioned as being with the original Brave Maximus back on Earth, with Solitarium powering that one. This new one is Neo Brave Maximus, but Plasma in his original design is still present with Fire Convoy's team, which makes this all sound to me like Master and Zebres replaced Plasma and Brave as the original Brave Max's Head On System, while Plasma and Brave got this shiny new Neo Brave Maximus.

After. The Car Robots cast all came from the future. And the original Brave Maximus went on space-time adventures throughout the multiverse in Kiss Players Position.

YAAAASSSSS LG Misfire! I do hope they're gonna make Aimless more toon/toy accurate than Firebolt, Recoil and Blowpipe are gonna be . As for the others how can you make MP Sideswipe more accurate to the Cartoon he's perfect already and by the time he comes out i'll already have the Standard MP-12. Doublecross and Sixshot could be cool if they're accurate to their screen appearance in Headmasters I think TR Sixshot is Definantly missing a sword or two and i'd appreciate it if Takara actually called out the "submarine" mode as a gun on the box or the instructions as it is defiantly not a Submarine Broadside i'm not sure about cause I'll have the Hasbro version by the time he's released and I actually HATE Broadside's character so we'll see if the stock pics tempt me at all.

Firebolt and Recoil are actually based on Fracas and Pinpointer respectively. Neither G1 design was used in the anime, but the Fracas one is in the manga.

And we still havent had Misfire but... uuuuhhh it's gonna ruin the cockpit on the top of its awesome jet mode like triggerhappy does.

I bet Sixshot still retains the gun form.

Wait, "preview"? This isn't the pack-in comic that comes with the toy, this is the online prologue comic, a separate thing.

Jeez, these comics always give me a headache trying to look at them and not just cos of all the japanese. They're just so messy.

Sincere apologies for my ignorance but can someone please educate me why fans must endure a long ass period of waiting after a figure is released? What are the reasons involved? We got some great LG figures on the horizon and I think this having to wait needs to end because... .

More than likely, because movie. Takara wanna focus on their TLK line while it's hot and hence are putting Legends on hold for now.

Also Targetmaster Doublecross has me curious, i wonder if he will simply come with Blurr's Targetmaster

You know what kinda funny? If one were to shorten Dark Ai's name to emulate how the English dub changed "Ai" to "T-AI", then she'd be "D-AI" (said like "Die").

Best guess, TakTom waits to see what Hasbro does then goes to work on how they can improve upon it (partially to justify the higher price-point).
