i have the challenge at cybertron set and these figures rock, i dont think they are cheap junk. on another note what the heck is meijers?!

Think Walmart, but slightly nicer But seriously, the paint job on my Rodimus is horrible, heck I've had the set loose from the box for only 7 hours and the paints already chipping off of his chest plate

It's not Meijer exclusive, it's general release, Meijer just put it out in stores first.

I'm not trying to "rub it in" since I doubt the 2-pack is a Meijer exclusive...but you know what actually appears to be? PCC 2-packs WAVE 2! Those are the only stores where I've ever seen Sledge, Icepick, and the greatest figure of the entire line, Leadfoot, and every Meijers from Wixom to Livonia just put more cases of 'em out in time for the holidays! And they've got the HFTD scouts on sale for $5.00 through the end of today.
Oh, and they had those supposedly Japan-exclusive Magnus, Galvatron, and Superion watches back in the days of G2, as they've sometimes imported Japan-market products like DBGT and Bakugan figures at inflated prices.
THAT's rubbing it in. Merry Christmas!
As for the Rodimus paint-chipping problem, think a few sprays of clear sealer might hold it on? That's what I intend to do to all of my Transmetals someday.

Oh. Good. I assumed it was a store exclusive since tfwiki.net and many on this site referred to it as one, but with an unconfirmed carrier.

However, the real news is this: I think there is a new Warpath toy coming.
There were a lot characters shown in the comic. Not only did we see Cyclonus and Hot Rod, but we saw a lot of new characters that are hitting retail now, or soon will be. I counted Jazz, Tracks, Blurr, Cyclonus, and Hot Rod as characters that are out now. In the coming soon category I have Grapple, Lugnut, Scrouge, Kup, Bumblebee, Rumble, Frenzy, and Preceptor, all of whom where shown in their new toy form. While there were a number of characters that don't have new toys coming, there were shown in their original tv show bodies, except Warpath.
This Warpath had additional blasters coming out from behind its head and had details that weren't consistent with the original toy, the show model, or the legends toys that was released a a few years ago.

Chupacabra Convoy wrote:I got mine online through amazon. It's nice to have a in scale matrix for my classics line, but I did wish it came with the chain that the original release had. I like this version of Cyclonus a lot better than the Universe one, so RTS is now my official Cyclonus, and the Universe one is Armada. I like the new paint job on Rodimus, which is great cause my Universe/classic one is now the Protector armor all the time.

After coming home I opened it.
Judgement? It's a cheap way to get a new Cyclonus, my RTS stickers did not work either and the paint apps on Hot Rod are well, not the best whatsoever. He even has a stress line on his shoulder from the socket and he is brand new, I didn't remove either from the plastic.
So what one of the above posters said is true, and no chain on the matrix let's it have extra handles for no reason.
I was disappointed by it honestly. Without Cyclonus in there since I don't have him otherwise I would rate it a pass.
U also get your comic beat up and crinkled.......
Was alot more excited to get the set then I was when I actually opened it.

2 ) While the SCHEME on Rodimus ain't the best, there were no significant paint issues on mine.
3 ) Cyclonus' new color scheme rawks.
4 ) I knew there was a Matrix in the set. I really did. But for some reason it completely missed my attention that it would be die-cast! I was expecting plastic, like the one from Cyb/GF Prime!

The set I picked up has great paint apps and the figures have nice tight joints. I did have 3 different sets at the store to compare. there was one that Rodimus was really shitty. I think you just have to look really closely and hope you have some to compare to.
