Though unfortunate timing made it look like he was squashing someone walking by in the foreground.

Wait...he didn't?

Do you guys know if Earthrise/Kingdom leader class Optimus Prime is still in stock or if listings indicate that it will be re-released? I have been wanting that specific model of Optimus Prime for a while now, and as you can guess I cannot find one. Please, let me know.

I would go to our toy forums and ask in the Earthrise or Kingdom toy threads. alternatively, you can also google them with "seibertron" in the search words, and that should help you find a story that can shortcut you to the respective threads.

I REALLY like the overall design of Primal, BUT...
he sure could use a touch of color!
Especially in bot-mode.
Where are the blues, light grays, white & red that give him the heroes Visage?
He is cool, just a bit dark & shadow-washedout.
I do love that Decepticons have red eyes,
Autobots: blue,
and Beasts GREEN!
My hope is that they follow the aesthetic with maybe the Terrorcons getting orange & the Preds a bright glowing purple!
They have made mistakes with color pallet choices in the Bayverse,
But my hope is these new artists see these things and know how colors affect people's personalities and the views minds.
For example;
There is no reason why Ironhide (a Dodge pickup) could not have been presented in the company signature color: RED.
It would have easily coincided with his G1 pallet, updating his form.
Also, I have worked in Search & Rescue rigs just like Ratchet that where WHITE & RED.
As for Jazz, Silver was okay. A Porsche would have been better, but at least he looked cool. Although, why wasn't his head black?
Whoops! I've rambled on!
In conclusion... color is exceedingly important to a franchise based on action, children, older collectors childhoods, toys sales and distinguishing one bot bot from another.
Sorry about the rant.

Ironhide was a GMC Topkick, not a Dodge.

From a villain fan perspective, they have botched most villain designs and colour palettes. For examples of the former, I point to Devastator (the dog). The latter the near endless sea of silver and beige that make up the entirety of the Decepticon ranks. I never had a problem with the hyper detail of Bayformers. But they should have added some colour to make that detail really distinct.
Yes, the Cybertron sequence in BB was an improvement. But trailers for this film has already shown that instance hasn't been applied further.

It took Iron Man using new CG tech that made red finally workable on the big screen, but by then it was too late. The 2007 movie made Optimus and Ironhide's looks from that movie the definitive look for their movie selves. It took another three movies for Optimus to finally get a redesign, and it was one that double-down on the blue instead of the red. Because Movie Optimus is a blue truck.
The Bumblebee movie changed all that, but its designs would have never been used in 2007 because 2007 was a very different time from 2018 to now. 2007 was a time when Hasbro was all like "We make Transformers for kids, and kids today don't care about designs from the 1980s, so we don't either!" That's why the Classics and Universe 2008 toylines so heavily modernized the designs all the G1 characters in those two toylines. And it's why 2000s-era Hasbro was so reluctant to make Soundwave a tape player again, because "Kids today don't even know what a tape player is!" 2000s-era Hasbro had a very cynical view of the 1980s.

Someone has also made a point that there are altmodes EG Soundwave/Blaster, Silverbolt etc that need to be modernised, permanently. Not just in a "make them a new version of their original thing". Because that too, will eventually be dated.
That said, ramble over and back on topic. Colour theory is a thing. Considering the source material of these Live Action films. There is no reason to stick to earth tones anymore in the 2020's.

Well the animal modes weren't for hiding in the Beast Wars cartoon anyway (after all, it's not like Scorpoknok, Tarantulas and Black Arachnia shrank down when they transformed.)

When did animal forms ever make sense?
