Anyhow, having a dinobird mode and a bike mode but no humanoid robot mode is an interesting choice. I can only think of two other beast/vehicle Transformers, Underbite from the upcoming RiD series and G1 Sky Lynx.

Rovio’s latest game, Angry Birds Transformers, boasts one killer soundtrack. You may notice that the tunes in the game sound similar to those from Transformers: The Movie. That’s no coincidence! Rovio teamed up with Vince DiCola, who composed the music from the 1986 animated feature, and music industry vet Kenny Meriedeth, who infused the tracks with the tasty analog synth sounds that defined the '80s! Give it a listen for yourself!

Galvatron is as smart and strong as any of the Deceptihogs, and he knows it! His devil may care attitude and disregard for authority makes him the outlaw of the bunch. He’s also a deadeye with his laser arm cannon. Nice shootin’ Tex! One day he may even be ...The King (Pig)…?

Angry Birds Transformers is a 2D/3D animated sidescroller. The opening animation is so G1 it's nostalgic. The levels consist of running along while blasting laser at targets to destroy enemies. It's just not the challenge and strategy the original game was. It's cute and kids will love it but hardcore fans will quickly be bored with it although since it's free it's worth downloading just for the intro.
Autobirds, roll out!

Apple has to buy up two week exclusives like this so people have a reason to want their new crappy bendable phones with broken operating systems.

Loved the 80s style intro and the poor VHS tracking effect you get when you take damage.

Yes, you are correct that Apple's business model does indeed revolve around securing 2 week exclusives for specific apps. That's exactly why over 4 million units sold on launch weekend. I even found myself saying, "Man, I'd get a different phone, but I've gotta have early access to Angry Birds Transformers"...
Seriously... what a ridiculous thing to say. Nevermind the rest of your comment which was equally indicative of your lack of knowledge on the subject. (or perhaps it was actually meant as a joke!)
As for the game: It's fun, but after spending a few hours with it (not all at once) I find there to be way too many stopping points. After completing all of the levels you have access to, the "egg bots" are transforming those areas into places you can again play a level on. The time it takes for them to become playable levels varies from a few minutes to a few hours. After playing the game for 10 minutes it's easy to find yourself unable to to anything. That is the biggest problem with this game, it stops you from playing it which is what you're supposed to WANT to do. Other than that I can see the formula of the levels getting a bit stale over time, but it remains to be seen how much variation there is. It would be nice if you could choose which transformer to play for a particular level, but you can't. I find during some levels wishing I had Lockdown's weapons or Heatwave's abilities, etc. It looks like you can't base your strategy for a particular level towards any transformer's strengths... which is disappointing. You can choose your teammate (from two seemingly random players) but the impact during the level is fairly minimal (5-10 seconds at a time).
I find the premise interesting and somewhat confusing... Why is Optimus on Astrotrain? Why are the DeceptiHogs and AutoBirds working together? I did enjoy the interaction after levels when you have a DeceptiHog and AutoBird teaming up. If you try to thank the teammate and their not from the same faction you get snubbed. Grimlock shows some unique responses as well. Perhaps as I get deeper into the game some small story bits will explain a few things, but I'm not hanging on it. It doesn't really matter.
Anyway, that's my two cents on the game. Hope someone found it helpful!

I don't know for certain whether there's a deal between Rovio and Apple, however I wouldn't be surprised.
It's not uncommon for stuff to be released for iOS first, and then Android down the track. In some instances it's understandable, difference in coding and such.
However in this particular case, the game has been in development for a fair whole, Rovio is one of the largest game makers ... there's no reason why there couldn't have a side by side release across Android and iOS.
It's not like Android is a bad OS, sure it has its faults, as does iOS, but head to head there's just as many devices running iOS as there is Android and there's just as many Apps in their respective stores.
So to the conspiracy theorist in me, a deal between Rovio and Apple for an App between two of the largest toy and game franchises in the world, wouldn't be surprising.

So far Im up to level 73. I havent bought any crystals but I did spring for the Jenga mode which is ok.
I think they need to reduce the amount of coins needed to unlock things as its just getting silly and repetetive now.

Oh, the ads are downright horrible. They appear at any time, for no reason and block progress. Fortunately, some ads will allow you to double up on rewards, so that's good.
It's ridiculously repetitive, and needs something to break up the monotony. The recharge times are just a way to make money and all those poor kids will burn through their supplies fast. In-app purchases, here we come. Not to mention, the Telepods, too.
It's like a printing press for money. I'd love to be Rovio.

Those Telepods, were they exclusive to a specific retail chain?

Played it last night, its loads of fun. Its very repetitive, but I have not gotten tired of it yet, very retro.

Since doing so on both my Galaxy Tab 2 and Galaxy S5, whenever I go to play the game it pops up asking to give permission to access my Facebook and regardless of whether I say yes or no, the game then closes.

No, they're available through all retailers, it's just a matter of whether or not your local store wishes to carry them. Mine don't.

You'll need to uninstall it and then reinstall. I had problems connecting it to Facebook, but after the third and final time, it worked and hasn't given me any problems since.

I wanted to ask you guys something, which characters do you like best. Bludgeon never seems to dissapoint me. I also really like Galvatron for his precision and power, but he lags at the worst moments. Soundwave was awesome early in the game but he is just too slow when things get hectic.
And Ultra Magnus can be amazing with upgrades, too bad he isn't that great early on. I am not a fan of the Terrence bird transformers (Sentinel Prime and Hotspot). I am almost at Level 40 so I dont have anyone beyond Blaster.

I hate those fraggin' things, especially when you have a slow firing character, or there's nothing around to charge EMP or shields. Oh, and the mortar walkers and the shotgun pigs? Those need to go away or get nerfed right quick. Sick of replaying the same levels over and over and over and over and over and over 'cause I get one-shotted by them.

Sometimes Starscream just explodes. In an 'easy' level.

I've had durability issues with Soundwave and Lockdown, but they where both fixed with upgrades. Starscream will take 34000 coins and 9 hours for that upgrade. That's kinda... much.

To get Lockdown from 7 to 8 is 115,000 coins. Grimlock from 6 - 7 is 73,000.

I am getting a little tired of the grinding to get coin though. I have saved up 500+ crystals so I could use a few.

Was wondering about the size of the island and the number of characters available. I have 7 characters left to unlock but the island is huge. Makes me think that either the rest of the island will be unlocked bit by bit with app updates or there will soon be nothing left to do other than clear the clouds.
I managed to get Starscream through his easy level by making sure I had help whenever it was available and keeping an eye out for the shields. His next update is that 17hr one.
