Anyhow, having a dinobird mode and a bike mode but no humanoid robot mode is an interesting choice. I can only think of two other beast/vehicle Transformers, Underbite from the upcoming RiD series and G1 Sky Lynx.

Rovio’s latest game, Angry Birds Transformers, boasts one killer soundtrack. You may notice that the tunes in the game sound similar to those from Transformers: The Movie. That’s no coincidence! Rovio teamed up with Vince DiCola, who composed the music from the 1986 animated feature, and music industry vet Kenny Meriedeth, who infused the tracks with the tasty analog synth sounds that defined the '80s! Give it a listen for yourself!

Galvatron is as smart and strong as any of the Deceptihogs, and he knows it! His devil may care attitude and disregard for authority makes him the outlaw of the bunch. He’s also a deadeye with his laser arm cannon. Nice shootin’ Tex! One day he may even be ...The King (Pig)…?

Angry Birds Transformers is a 2D/3D animated sidescroller. The opening animation is so G1 it's nostalgic. The levels consist of running along while blasting laser at targets to destroy enemies. It's just not the challenge and strategy the original game was. It's cute and kids will love it but hardcore fans will quickly be bored with it although since it's free it's worth downloading just for the intro.
Autobirds, roll out!

Apple has to buy up two week exclusives like this so people have a reason to want their new crappy bendable phones with broken operating systems.

Loved the 80s style intro and the poor VHS tracking effect you get when you take damage.

Yes, you are correct that Apple's business model does indeed revolve around securing 2 week exclusives for specific apps. That's exactly why over 4 million units sold on launch weekend. I even found myself saying, "Man, I'd get a different phone, but I've gotta have early access to Angry Birds Transformers"...
Seriously... what a ridiculous thing to say. Nevermind the rest of your comment which was equally indicative of your lack of knowledge on the subject. (or perhaps it was actually meant as a joke!)
As for the game: It's fun, but after spending a few hours with it (not all at once) I find there to be way too many stopping points. After completing all of the levels you have access to, the "egg bots" are transforming those areas into places you can again play a level on. The time it takes for them to become playable levels varies from a few minutes to a few hours. After playing the game for 10 minutes it's easy to find yourself unable to to anything. That is the biggest problem with this game, it stops you from playing it which is what you're supposed to WANT to do. Other than that I can see the formula of the levels getting a bit stale over time, but it remains to be seen how much variation there is. It would be nice if you could choose which transformer to play for a particular level, but you can't. I find during some levels wishing I had Lockdown's weapons or Heatwave's abilities, etc. It looks like you can't base your strategy for a particular level towards any transformer's strengths... which is disappointing. You can choose your teammate (from two seemingly random players) but the impact during the level is fairly minimal (5-10 seconds at a time).
I find the premise interesting and somewhat confusing... Why is Optimus on Astrotrain? Why are the DeceptiHogs and AutoBirds working together? I did enjoy the interaction after levels when you have a DeceptiHog and AutoBird teaming up. If you try to thank the teammate and their not from the same faction you get snubbed. Grimlock shows some unique responses as well. Perhaps as I get deeper into the game some small story bits will explain a few things, but I'm not hanging on it. It doesn't really matter.
Anyway, that's my two cents on the game. Hope someone found it helpful!
