RUMOUR: Masterpiece Ultra Magnus available at Walmart.com?

I hope it doesnt devalue my MP magnus.
knowing hasbro it will probally be uglier, having a silver mouthplate and yellow on the head.

I hope is the Masterpiece Ultra Magnus I miss the takara release.

At that weight and price, I'd say it has to be the MAsterpiece version. What's interesting is that it is in stock and ready to ship.

MP Prime with a trailer and armor??? It would be a good buy. Doubt it though

It costs $90 but they show the G1 Magnus toy. I don't think a reissued G1 Magnus should sell for nearly $100 brand new. Although I'd probably buy it after it goes on sale. I certainly won't buy it if it's MP Magnus. Takara should have ponied up some more cash and made a transforming car hauler/armor for it. I'd much rather have seen the MP Optimus mold repainted and redecoed into Nemesis Prime.

I wanted to add this to this thread as well, it's from my final post from the previous thread.

By the way, those of you that buy it and end up wanting to return it. Tell the person at the desk of your local Wal-Mart store you called the 1-800 number and they said the local store will refund the shipping costs too or they will try and weasel you out of the shipping when you return it.

I learned about this when I went to war with walmart.com about sending me smashed Decepticon Sneak Attack sets. I continued to order a set with next day shipping and if it was smashed, I returned it and got a complete refund.

i have to wait and see pics before i throw down that much. very tempting though.

If this is indeed MP Magnus, I'll put out the money for it. Bit if it's just a re-issue of G1 Magnus, I'll pass. Seeing as how this is heavy & $90 though, it's gotta be MP.

i dont understand why they keep making these "white prime" ultra magnus figures.....that "white prime" only exists cuz of how they designed the original toy's transformation...i havent read the comics so maybe they fit that "white prime" into the continuity somehow but yeah...it always bugs me seeing these figures..lol

Any new news on UMagnus figure, I'm all excited especially if it's a new mold!!!

Hm, I find this listing very strange: 1 - The price suggests it's the MP-2 version and not the G1 Reissue. 2 - The product in inch is shown as 24x24x24 which is too big for a MP box unless they meant the shipping box. 3 - The bio/ description of Magnus is new...so I don't know.

Just a thought, could this be part of the "case assortment" with the G1 MP Starscream that is a Wal-Mart exclusive? It would make sense to put them both out at the same time.

I just put in an order for this with 2 day shipping. It should be here by Friday, so I will be able to put up pics. Hopefully it is the MP Magnus, otherwise it will be returned.

It might be MP-02. I can't see it being a reissue of G! Magnus. When TRU started reissued him a few years ago at the start of their commerative series, G1 Magnus was a shelf-warmer. He just did not sell and I think he was priced then at $39.99. There is no way someone would double the price for G1 Magnus and expect it to go anywhere.

I bit on this too. I couldn't help myself. It does seem too heavy to be a G1. Guess I'll find out in a week or from who ever gets theirs first. If it's a G1, I can't let my son see it. He'll never let me return it.

the only re oddity is weight and size since neither figure was 6 lbs. heres hoping is the masterpiece so i can justify buying one .

But this just can't be the case: We have not even heard of a rumor from Takara, claiming they will produce the trailer/armor for it, so I am a bit skeptical.

this has to be the mp version of him. theres no way the resissue would be in that size box and weigh 6 pounds.

Well I ordered one, should be here next week. There's always the return policy right? Guess we'll see...

US$90 is a tad steep for the G1 Re-issue so my guess would be that it is the MP version. He is a great figure, and the Takara packaging is beautiful, and the Cardboard trailer a fun (if useless) added extra.

Holy Moly, U.S. Reissue Magnus cost $100? Even the TRU version that was released previously only cost somewhere around $40. Since when did the cost begin to skyrocket? I hope it's the MP version or with triler.

Either way, I'd like to see how this turns out!

No I think I paied about 80 for the 20th Prime when I pre ordered it from kb toys. SO really 90 is about right if it has die cast parts and what not! Man I gotta stop looking at it...I almost had it in my cart this time...

I do find it really odd we have heard nothing about this till today...these things dont usually make it to stores, online or otherwise, without us knowing they are coming. I really dont think its the re-issue due to the fact that I have never seen these anywhere but TRU.

Could someone that owns a 20th anniversary or Mp01 or Mp02 weigh one of those packages with the figure inside so we can get a weight comparison? How much does the Gi Ultra Magnus weigh? 6 pounds sounds like a lot for the figure itself, what if there is a UM trailer in there too?

20th is maybe 2.5lbs so really will a trailer add another 3.5lbs?

Can't be MP, he shouldn;t be 1 opound heavier than MP Prime, that's with the base. I guess Price says otherwise. But with MP Screamer for 52, it looks fishy

Hmm... If they do release the trailer in this package it would mean that it would also fit onto MP Prime... Strange that they would include it... How much would an extra DVD of say Ultra Magnus episodes add to UM's weight?
