My body is so ready for Ironhide. If these rumours are true of course.

MP Tracks is great news, As It's a great character and design that will transfer nicely into a MP toy.
MP Ironhide and his mold mate Ratchet,I'm a bit worried about. As HasTak has tried and failed countless times before to create decent update toys for these characters. Will the bigger MP toy size help?

If you're thinking about that image Gen. Leader Megatron alongside MP-10 Convoy, that was merely a size comparison. Not an indication of that toy appearing in the Masterpiece line.
And Tracks and Road Rage? Makes sense. The two are basically the same in-fiction, except the lady has the toy's mouth plate. So there's the retool that justifies the new number.

Love the idea of Tracks and Ironhide.

Saddened that there still aren't any Decepticons, but also glad that that means I only need two figures this year

Just need Brawn & Windcharger...

I'm surprised all the purists aren't flipping out over her having her own number, but it makes sense..

Road Rage is fairly seperate as far as fiction goes, so the fact that she's a different character, with (hopefully) a different, mouthplated face justifies her having her own number in the line.

Precisely. New tooling = new number.
Though MP12G has the new face (and all new accessories, though those don't seem to count much in terms of assigning new numbers), and he didn't get a new number. But perhaps he's the exception that proves the rule? Or maybe it was because he was still explicitly a Sideswipe of some kind?

I think it has more to do with him being an exclusive. Exclusives always get designated with a letter, whether or not they're a new character. That's the bottom line. With that:
- New mold? New number.
- Straight redeco? Usually exclusive, so added letter (I'm discounting Frenzy and Rumble since they're a pair).
- Retool? New number if main line release, letter if exclusive.
Exhaust has proven that any character, no matter how obscure, is fair game for the main line.
*EDIT* Before anyone starts with MP-13B Soundblaster with Ratbat, consider Ratbat an exclusive accessory like G2 Bumble's jetpack.

Im surprised by the welcome these rumours are getting considering its only a listing on the Chinese website equivelant of Ebay without any confirmed evidence.
I found this on Weibo via a very reliable source....

I'd rather have some Insecticons though.

In what way was MP12G an exclusive?

I agree. Hopefully the murmurs (because the word 'rumor' might be a bit strong in this case) of MP Megatron are accurate. Until then, I think we can expect Coneheads while we wait... as much as I want Shockwave and Reflector, like, right now.
Honestly, as silly as Reflector is, he really would fill out the Decepticon ranks on my MP shelf... he's 3 bots in one package.

if giving both of them their weapons bay's/medical bays allows them to be more accurate in robot mode, i'm all for it.
after all.. ratchets did show up in the cartoon.. so it's still screen accurate.

The numbering doesn't bother me as long as they keep making new MP's and don't decide to stop at #30. And let's not stray away from consistent looking boxes while we are at it.

Any unofficial person could post whatever listings they wanted onto Taobao in an attempt to fool any poor soul. Without concrete enough evidence like a genuine photo of the toys, this is like if someone on eBay claimed to have a new toy for sale that we had never heard of and didn't provide photographic evidence to back their claims.
I'm not saying to completely disregard this as completely false, but to just treat it as it is: A rumor, not fact. All so that we don't get our hopes up to high and be disappointed if it turns out to not be true.

Nope. tsu meant that in besides the 3rd party Apollyon, there were rumors that MP-25 would be an updated Megatron. It was rumored way before that equally awesome looking Legends Megatron.

I am not sure if they would make them that large. The problem with Reflector is that there is zero repaint possibility for them. I really like Reflector he was poorly developed and under utilized in the original series. He was one of the first combiners, and I was always wishing they would combine in robot mode as well but that never happened . I instant buy for me......

While repaint potential is small, they would really milk the shared parts amongst the 3 bots.

It would be such a cool nod to Microman if they did Reflector. He's one of the very first TFs. At some point the re-paintability has to wear out. Doncha think?padfoo wrote:Cobotron wrote:He would be great because he could be the size of a real camara.megatronus wrote:Honestly, as silly as Reflector is, he really would fill out the Decepticon ranks on my MP shelf... he's 3 bots in one package.

Man, I just realized I might have to get one of those YOT Whatever Soundwaves for my Microman shelf.

i was thinking the same thing. but im trying to stay "glass is half full".Desslok2201 wrote:The more I thinkabout this it doesn't seem right. Tracks seems premature at this stage, and it would set a new precedent for Takara to announce a repaint at the same time as the mold originator. Also, why announce Road Rage without also announcing Ratchet? I don't buy it
everyones main issue (more cons) doesnt really bother me. the ones im waiting for are the coneheads, megatron V2, and shockwave. and for everyone excluding shockwave, takara could presumably make them whenever they want as theres no licensing constraints.
to the rumors at hand, if theyre true,

Tracks was one of the "I had it as a kid" guys, so he's a must. Ironhide is Ironhide, so he's a must.
I hope it's true.
