On Sunday (July 10th), yours truly will be hosting a Transformers panel at 2:00PM, called 30+ Years of Transformer Toys and their Evolution, in room 514a - Panel Room 1. It is aimed at people who are not familiar with the past 30 years of toys and features different Optimus Prime toys from throughout those years, starting with G1, that will be transformed live to show the evolution of the toys.

Because a Seibertron staffer is hosting it (me), along with another fellow Seibertronian, using Siebertron gallery Images

I bet there's going to be some video coverage of the event. No doubts about it.D-Maximus_Primal wrote:Will is truly rising above and beyond! Wish I could see the panel!

Sadly, I dont think there will be. I think they only tape the panels with the stars, like Shatner. I dont even know if the Peter Cullen Panel will be taped (professionally).

The Peter Cullen panel was great. He reiteated somthing I still do not believe: that he is playing the same optimus in the films as the one he portrayed in G1. But hey, he's the official sourcefor that info on characterisation, and will be strict about what he cant say as optimus, so I must abide. Also, he had to audition 3 times to play the role of Optimus in the films. He was seen as a voice actor like any other. That sounds pretty nuts to have Peter freaken Cullen audition for the role of Optimus.
Oh and he is from my hometown and the town fo the show: Montreal. Didnt know that.

Andrew Griffith is a freelance comic book artist, designer and illustrator currently working on Transformers comics for IDW Publishing.
After he did well enough to arrive on IDW’s radar, he was brought on as an inker and fill-in artist on prequel comics for the film “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” and the critically acclaimed mini-series “Last Stand of the Wreckers.”
He is best known for his own mini-series to illustrate, a prequel comic to the “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” film. Griffith also has worked on various projects for Hasbro, illustrated Transformers DVD covers for Shout! Factory, and contributed professional work on properties including G.I. Joe, TMNT and Back To The Future. Griffith’s pencils can currently be seen in the IDW Publishing’s Ongoing Transformers series, “Robots in Disguise.”

Ultra Mad wrote:Didn't you also host a similar panel last year, that time with Optimus prime as the model of the evolution?
Yes we did!
And if we get selected for next year too, I have an awesome idea for the next panel. But you'll have to wait a year to find out.

I, your very own Bronzewolf, will be hosting a Transformers/Toy Industry panel at Fort Collins Comic Con in Colorado on Sunday, August 27th, starting at 2:15 in the Enterprise room! I'll be doing a small presentation on how the growing culture of adult toy collectors has shaped the toy market, followed by a Q&A, where you can feel free to ask me anything, wether it be about Seibertron, Transformers, pop culture, or anything else you want to know!
I'll have a wide array of Transformers, old and new, from G1 to Masterpiece, on display to show the evolution from basic children's toy to hyper accurate, super articulated collector's grade figure.
It promises to be a fun time, the first of what I want to be many, and I hope to meet some of you there! Please drop by if you're in the area!

Further schedule updates and general details will be posted to the Fort Collins Comic Con facebook.
