Not particularly partial for that "Unicron" Megatron.
Everything else that I haven't already loved in other threads look okay.

Tailgae's a beautiful blend of his IDW bot and his Prime versio n being a repaint of Cliffy. And Groundbuster is all too fitting.
Sad that Starscream didn't get his minicon, but then I'm also glad tehy didn't try and fail, either. He's a bought for sure.
like the minicon combiner dude in green

The 2 newly revealed Deluxes also impressed me quite a bit. Armada Starscream quickly became a favourite of mine after watching the show (yes his character was a textbook cliché, but he was cool nonetheless, just like Energon Scorp!) but by that time he was long gone from stores. The best I managed to get was Thundercracker, which was still technically him in the show, but it wasn't the same. Getting a chance to get an awesome new mold of him is really fun (sure I could have eBayed the Armada figure, but the figure failed to impress). If they managed to sneak Swindle in there (or perhaps in another Mini-Con team if that doesn't cost out or whatever), that'd be pretty great. And Scoop, for a character I knew very little about he certainly left an impression. He looks nice, and dual Targetmasters? That's pretty great.
The 2 new Legends are also quite nice. Hopefully these Legends continue to grow in number.
Whirl is a little odd, but he's definitely unique looking among pretty much every other TF out there, so that's a plus.
Overall some really cool reveals. Exciting stuff on the horizon. Especially those Mini-Cons!

Megazarak wrote:My favourite of the new figure(s) shown was definitely the Mini-Con team. They ooze a ton of personality as a team (I don't know about anyone else, but the moment I saw them a whole story about what they're all about and who they are popped into my head) AND they can combine! They have got me really excited and are one of my favourite things shown at SDCC so far. Also really happy we're seeing more Mini-Cons again, and as a 3-pack no less, just like the old days.
Yeah, the Mini-Cons were one of the stars of the show. There's no doubt about it that I'll be picking them up.
EDIT: Guys, guys, I just had an epiphany: despite probably not by name, but what if these Mini-Cons, by bio and spirit, are the Transformer/Mini-Con versions of none other than *wait for it* .... Rad White, Carlos Lopez, and Alexis Thi Dang?!
Think about it: the tank Mini-Con (Carlos) is brash and headstrong, but brave and courageous; the jet Mini-Con (Rad) is definite leadership material, and the assault helicopter Mini-Con (Alexis), with feminine features in mind, though tiresome of her sometimes boneheaded friends, is loyal and one hell of a computer analyst.
Genius, I tell you. Pure, unadulterated GENIUS!

...Are... are you me? I also own Thundercracker (but not Starscream) only because I never found Starscream himself.

I really hope that Hasbro is secretly making a little Swindle Mini-Con to go along with him. If not, I've always got third party companies to look up to. Hell, they probably could even engineer a wing upgrade kit to go along with Swindle, a left wing that is capable of transforming into a sword for Starscream to wield.

That is actually a really interesting idea about the Mini-Cons. I could definitely see them making a bio to reflect the personality of the humans onto these bots. Good thinking and genius indeed!

I just hope these remakes continue, and do not end with Thrilling 30's conclusion!

Out of all the Bionicle TF's, Unicron Meg's looks the best to me. I dig his beetle sidekick. Not paying more than $10-12 for it, though.

Well, considering just how much those three humans are despised by the fandom, I'd say Hasbro would be shooting themselves in the foot if they did that.Megazarak wrote:Mindmaster wrote:Guys, guys, I just had an epiphany: despite probably not by name, but what if these Mini-Cons, by bio and spirit, are the Transformer/Mini-Con versions of none other than *wait for it* .... Well, I kinda liked them.

Plus, I prefer them over Kicker any day...

Metrosuplex wrote:After some looking of the proverbial gift horse in the mouth, I would like to emphasize that these remakes look fantastic! Not a huge fan of the "Legends" scale, nor the odd choice of which characters to include (just Shrapnel, but not the other two?
), but still nice to see these classic characters hit store shelves!
Well, there is a Kickback in the Generations line even though he's FOC and a different scale. I still still count him.
I think It would be very easy for Hasbro to retool Shrapnel into Bombshell, just remove the pincers and change the head.
Not that it matters. If they do a Bombshell(Hardshell, whatever he's called now) it will be five years from now, just to torture me.

griftimus prime wrote:these are some weak ass toy reveals from hasbro. armada star scream? who was asking for this figure? and scoop? wtf? i bet they repaint both of them ten times too.
Armada Starscream? Only EVERYONE.

And Scoop? He's kinda out of left field, but he looks great. OH, and he's actively in the IDW comics.
Starscream repaints? Of course, what would a seeker mold be without redecos!? Just makes sure you give him a new head for Skywarp and co, Hasbro.

And if not everyone, me specifically.

Obvious Scrapper retool is obvious. Seriously, with a new head and maybe a new tooling around the knees, Hasbro could seriously turn Scoop into a combinable Scrapper with friends!

Thundercracker, especially. He was among my first Transformers I ever got as a kid, so it would only be fair if I got that in homage of an awesome childhood.

You mean Super/Powerlinx Starscream, right? Poor Starscream, his spontaneous recoloration just makes him look like Thundercracker.

I suppose Starscream as well. I have him as Starscream on my shelves, but if it were up to me, I'd have him as a separate character from Starscream.
