Toy News International ,who has been covering this weekend's G.I. Joe Con in Orlando, Florida, has posted images of this year's SDCC Exclusive Transformers/G..I Joe crossover set. The set contains a G.I. Joe Sky Striker in Starscream deco, a Cobra Commader figure, and mini Megatron accessory. We got our first glimpse of this set at Toy Fair earlier this year. These images reveal the packaging, which has been made to resemble a comic book cover, and offer many more shots of the toys. Click here to check out their images.

If it doesn't transform, its not a Transformer. Easy pass.

IMHO I think it's pretty cool despite the fact that it doesn't transform. I feel that those involved in the design of things shows their tribute and homage if you will to Transformers from everything GI Joe. I'm curious if that is the box/package that is right next to it? It just seems so small. I did collect some GI Joe in my youth but I never had a Sky Striker or knew someone that did. Have they some how down sized or is this from the original mold? And has anyone heard rumor on what this might go for? This will be a definite keep-sake for me MISP and it will definitely be displayed for all to see....'nuff said! :CON:

Cobra Commander with Megatron... maybe, but I'm not too thrilled with the starscream redeco.... then again, why don't I just get an original cobra commander and stand him beside G2 megs... that would make a lot more sense. :-?

so if they had made a cartoon of this back in the day you wouldn't know who was speaking since they both share the same voice. :BOOM: :CON: :???:

While it is an interesting idea, I feel that they should've gone with the comic that actually featured these three, in which Starscream was either a Night Raven or a Rattler(can't remember.) I'd love to have a Starscream colored Night Raven.

More on topic, the Starscream repaint looks like it's the two-seater, but the redo Sky Striker has only one seat. So sill Starscream be the one-seater and this is just a mockup?

This is a really cool thing... for GIJoe fans that happen to like Transformers. I think it does a great job at bringing a bit of our fandom into their world. What I'd like to see, is for Hasbro do to the opposite, too: Bring a little bit of GIJoe into the Transformers universe. How about Voyager Powerglide repainted in navy blue and red, called 'Rattler'? The recently released Tomahawk in olive drab and silver, as 'Dragonfly', with Terradive repainted as 'Conquest'? There's plenty of interesting military equipment out there these days, too, like Hailstorm/Mindset, Bludgeon/Banzaitron, and Straxus/Skullgrin, not to mention less obvious military units like Hound.

GIJoe has received interesting toys at the last few ComicCons, usually selling out within a day or two. The typically lackluster Transformers offerings (last two years: simple re-releases of G1 toys), however, typically show up on hasbrotoyshop.com a few days later.

C'mon, Hasbro: Give us TRANSFORMERS fans something interesting, too!

If you're requesting that they make a Transformer that looks like a G.I. Joe vehicle (instead of a G.I. Joe vehicle that looks like a Transformer), we already got just that: Energon Snow Cat

And its redeco: Universe Snow Cat

I want this. I won't buy it. I hope there is a Transforming item for sale this year. My SDCC Blaster and Nemesis Prime need company!

So they get a jet painted as a Transformer that doesn't transform? That sucks.

This looks really good. I'm not going to shell out the cash to get it (I'm sure with it's demand across TF and G.I.Joe fans it'll be hard to get and have a huge price mark up) but it'll be a great addition to people's collections IMO.

Right, which we've had since the Energon line... but that was a cross-line homage, not an explicit connection, like they're doing with this product. To my knowledge, this is the first official union between the TF and Joe lines, in plastic form.

Same here,. I can't wait to see what they are going to do for a Transformers Exclusive this year. I wished, though, that they could have done something like Blaster the year I went to San Diego. Don't get me wrong, Hot Rodimus was kool, and I picked up Menasor just for the simple fact that he was there, but a G1 reissue would have been awesome. On a great note, though, that's where I got my beloved Sixshot. :D

Which is like a fan of the Spiderman toys passing on new product because it does not do what a spider can nor spins a web any size.

It woulda been cool to see this line as a G1 type Human Alliance set, but that means more work I guess.

Technically correct, but it's the second Official TF/Joe toy. Titaniums Megatron's bios specifically describes him as being forced to follow Cobra Commander because CC had acquired the Matrix.

I take it you're not an Action Master fan, then?

Amusing analogical attempt at an insult. Don't get your panties in a bunch, cupcake. And forgive me for not subscribing to the lemming thought process when it comes to Con exclusives. Maybe if it had some kind of transforming gimmick like the old MASK toys - even then, a pass. If you like it, enjoy it. All 80 bucks worth. I got bigger FansProject fish to fry.

Action Masters... nah not a big fan. Nor Movie Replicas, statuettes, or ... what are those minifigs called (robot heroes?). Not knockin 'em, just keeping my trophy room unhoarderish.

I'm surprised that we know (and have for a while) what the GI Joe SDCC fig will be, but so far haven't heard anything on what the Transformers one will be. Hopefully it'll be worth the wait.

Assuming of course that there actually will be a Transformers exclusive and this isn't just some sort of cop-out.

It's neat, but pointless to me and my collecting habits
