Hot Spot can totally do his "Base mode" like his G1 toy! It STILL doesn't look right!

I call it... HOME BASS

Ooh, fan modes! I love these things.


Blackarachnia pretending to be an RTS building. Kinda looks like a sort of portal thingy.


Soundwave doing his best to resemble the "lamppost mode" from the first episode of the cartoon.


Shockwave attempting to be a castle. Or a power plant. I dunno.


Kup's base mode. Or something.

For some reason I can sorta picture this mode being part of the town in BraveStarr. It has a sci-fi western feel about it. Well, I think so anyways. I like it more than the official base mode.

I like Black Hat's DotM Shockwave base mode too. Looks very villainy HQ.

First post! Long time lurker... so I keep some figures in the car and do fan modes when I'm bored haha Here are my latest ones. The posts so far look great! love the different base modes!

I did these a couple of years ago. They're "mech modes" for DOTM HA Tailpipe and Whirl. Sorry about the quality.

I believe a lot of people did this.


Many flyers can make gerwalk mode.


This is not my creation. Someone did it and it's awesome.

If you try uploading your image to a site like imgur, you can take that picture address and encase it in this: [img]your%20picture%20address[/img]. Have you tried that yet?

Well, since the OP brought it up; here's my preferred configuration for Generations Nightbeat.



Always keep the door panels aligned with the arms imo. Can limit what poses he can do... and sometimes breaks the arms; but he can do the hands on his hips and have a hand to his mouth for musing, so it's good enough for me.


Since everyone and their mother uses the same mold in CW, it becomes pretty important to differentiate em, right? So sometimes I like having Offroad with his 'wings' up.



Still don't know how exactly I feel about it.


But hey, here's something I do like to do sometimes when playing around with my toys - 'G1' modes. The intended effect here is to make the figure look like a G1 toy - implying a much more simple transformation, more individual parts scooshed into blockiness and limited articulation. Make them replicate that goofiness and silliness of how limited toy engineering was in the 80s. It's kinda fun to see what you can come up with; but I find it works best with the Alpha Bravo mold.



Legs can't come apart, his rotor assembly just hanging awkwardly behind him, his tailfin not having moved an inch and the only articulation being a shoulder swivel. I love it.


Aaaand to finish off let's just do something really creepy.
