Sentius Twins now Playable in Transformers: Earth Wars

So, with that $92million in bookings, we're going to see some serious enhancements to gameplay (different modes, different base layouts, new ways of warring, etc.) any day now right?

Right?

Also, I know it's been harped on in earlier posts about this story, but the completely blah samurai look of these two is going to guarantee that they are forgotten into the dustbin of history in no time.

Don't get me wrong, people are going to find the characters important in TF:EW, if the gameplay mechanic we got to pilot is anything to go by. And maybe one day they'll even get a spidey crab tank toy ala Cyberverse Shockwave. But if you think these two are going to capture the imaginations of the fans I think SA should have handled them differently.

For starters, the hype was unreal (and maybe they're still building up to the rumored gameplay changes), and instead of launching Titans! Primus! Unicron! massive gameplay expansion! they were like Prime Core Guardians!

Now that the toy line is done hyping them, is anyone going to care about Prime Cores anymore?

I might be in the minority, but I think Transformers doesn't need any more new characters.

In the 30+ years of the brand this is a franchise that has thousands of characters, many of whom could be revisited and given some more limelight. I think there was someone that said these two are basically Roulette and Shadow Striker who could stand to return (maybe get some non exclusive toys)

I feel like this is a case where any time a new creator gets involved with some portion of the brand, they want to add to it with their own guy, make their own mark. I can understand that desire, I doubt there's anyone here who doesn't have at least one character they made up and would love to add if given the opportunity, but that's also why every new, hastily sketched character, is met with a "bleh".

We've got fantastic news for fans of the Transformers: Earth Wars game, as we've received word via the official newsletter that a brand new game mode, Raid Battles, are live! A new campaign has been added in as well, Return to Cybertron, which was written by legendary Transformers fiction author, Simon Furman!

NEW GAME MODE: RAID BATTLES

The NEW game mode: Raid Battles are finally here in Transformers: Earth Warsalong with a new campaign: Return to Cybertron featuring a story written by renowned Transformers comics writer, Simon Furman.

Raid Battles are new alliance war mode where an entire alliance works together to overcome multiple strong raid bases to collect Raid Points and unlock rewards.



And the very first Raid Battles event: Raid to Cybertron is currently on!

As some of you know, there have been some connection issues since the start of the event, for which we’d like to sincerely apologize.

Since a majority of players are able to play now after some fixes, we’ve decided to keep the event running. There will be a compensation on this coming Monday, 3rd of December, including 5* Shards, Shanix Coins and Fuel Cells to storage that can be used in an upcoming event.

Don’t miss out this chance to try this new game mode and collect new currency:Shanix Coins to purchase some unique items such as Universal Combiner Sparks,Ore-13, XP Power Cores, Power Core Chips and 5-Star Optimus Primal or BW Megatron.

At a later point, the Raid Battles will find another place as a mid-week event, which will take place every Tuesday at 10:00 AM UTC to Thursday 10:00 AM UTC. This mode is still Work in Progress, we are working hard to make it happen as soon as possible! Stay tuned for more details for the midweek Raid events!

A little late for the announcememt, because the weekend event showing the game mode off is already over XD, but don't worry about. I think the game mode is perfect for hardcore players and people who pay to play, but a little difficult for others.

I wouldn't say you have to pay to win--I did 77k worth of damage for my alliance in it (out of the 1 million total for the entire 40 players), but it is more hardcore requiring more strategy. I thoroughly enjoyed it as it has been the same ole / same ole for a while now.

From the Transformers Earth Wars Facebook Page, we have news that the developers, Space Ape Studios are trying to make amends for connection issues that plagued the launch of their new Raid Mode. They are offering in-game items for free as a recompense. To claim the rewards, players have to fully close the app and then click the link in the included post below.

Raid Battles Update



Some of you might be wondering when Raid Battles are coming back?

We’ve been working hard to fix some bugs since the last Raid event and we are getting there!

If everything goes smoothly, the first midweek Raid Battles event will arrive in the Earth Ears next week from Tuesday, December 18th to Thursday, December 20th. If not, it will be postponed to the new year.

Prior to the first midweek Raid event, let us explain the difference between midweek and weekend mode.

In the mid-week mode, you won’t need to earn Energy cells to attack Raid bases, instead, at the start of the event, you will have enough cells to do 5 Raid attempts which will be the limit for each player in this type of event to try and dish out as much damage as you can within your limited attempts. So it will be definitely less grinding than the last Raid event. And most importantly, the prize will be Shanix Coins!

Balance Update / Bug Fixes



Here is the update on some bug fixes and changes.

Error 2306
We are aware of players encountering error code 2306, predominantly seen during alliance wars when scouting or entering a battle. We have identified and fixed the issue which will be rolled out with the next update. 
 
• XP power core cost
  The cost of Gold XP Power Core has been reduced to 1,000 from 1,500 Shanix coins last Thursday. All players who purchased the core before then should have received 500 Shanix coins to match the current price.

G1 Grimlock & G1 Razorclaw: Increases the special ability damage and generates a shield which absorbs received damage.



G1 Ironhide & G1 Bludgeon: Increases the bot's health and gives the bot a chance to taunt nearby defenses.



G1 Prowl & G1 Brawl: Increased special ability damage and sets the target on fire dealing extra damage for several seconds.



G1 Hot Spot & G1 Tantrum: Generates a permanent protective shield that reflects damage back to the attackers!

The challenge battle will be available via in-game newsfeed to get a taste of these new G1 Power Cores.



New Bots Update

Goldfire and Ramjet are joining the ranks next weekend so it’s about time to reveal their special ability!



Both Goldfire and Ramjet have the same ability called Blazing Charge and it’s looking good!


  

Blazing Charge: Rush into combat setting buildings on fire and dealing damage to each of them over time. The effect will spread if the building is destroyed during this time.



Error 2306 Compensation



Last week, we had an issue where sometimes attacking a base during an alliance war resulted in error 2306. This bug is fixed by now, but some of you were severely impacted in your alliance wars, at times being unable to win a war due to this error.

We tried to compile a full list of all players affected by this error, but due to the nature of it, this turned out to be not just extremely complicated, but impossible. Instead of the desired exact and targeted compensation, we have to settle for the next best thing, a promo code for everyone. We know it’s not the ideal scenario, but we also wanted to give you at least some sort of compensation.

Raid Battles Update



You might be wondering when Raid Battles event will be back? Don’t worry as they are coming back soon!

We’ve been working on bug fixes and improvements since the last Raid event and we are almost there!

The following improvements were added to Raid Battles feature:

• You can check number of attempts done for each member in the alliance leaderboard
• You can now attack a Raid battle straight from the scouting screen if the Raid base is available

And we have also fixed an issue where a player couldn’t see the alliance’s progress and would waste attacks on already defeated bases.

Hope you will enjoy the Raid event more with those improvements!



Under investigation



Here is the issue reported that we've been investigating:

• Bots stuck on the spot in battle
  We have identified an issue within the battle engine that can cause bots to get stuck on the spot. This issue is most prominent withCheetor/Blackarachnia, but have received reports of this occurring on multiple bots. We are currently working a potential fix for this.

Bug Fixes



The following bug fixes are coming to the game!

• Raid base select not displaying correct zone status
  During the midweek Raid event, some players were seeing an issue whereby the raid zone select window would display 0% for all bases, despite damage being done. This issue was caused by slow connection or dropouts when loading the data. This issue has been resolved by adding a short load check before the zone data is displayed.

Bug Fixes



The following bug fixes are coming to the game!

Springer/Astrotrain ability stuns combiners
When used on defence, Springer/Astrotrain’s ability would stun combiners if the projectile targeted it. Combiners should not be stunned under any circumstances. This has been addressed and will be fixed this week.
 
• G1 Prowl/Brawl affects other gunners rockets
  If another bot triggers Rocket Barrage in the same squad asProwl/Brawl with their G1 core equipped, they would also set the targets on fire. This core should only set on fire the buildings struck byProwl/Brawl rockets. This fix will be implemented next week.

New Bots in progress

Who would have guessed Streetwise & Sinnertwin are the new recruits?!
Yes, they are joining the Earth Wars at the end of the current saga!



Streetwise (sometimes also known as Streetstar or Streetsmart) is a member of the Protectobots, a team of emergency, rescue and law enforcement bots. Other Protectobots already in the game are Hot Spot and First Aid. They were designed to protect humans from the Combaticons team that can combine into Bruticus.

In the case of Streetwise, our design was informed by the car whose design we thought looked really slick in the Generations Combiner Wars toyline.



Sinnertwin (sometimes also known as Twinstrike) is a member of the Terrorcons, a team of positively insane and exceptionally cruel Decepticons. They all have personality disorders and Sinnertwin’s resides in his sadistic nature when it comes to killing. He is the fourth Terrorcon to join the game after Hun-Gurrr, Cutthroat and Rippersnapper.

Our design for the game was also inspired by the Power of the Primes toyline.

• Players have reported that the amount of healing provided by First Aid/Reflectordoes not match the value displayed on the character’s screen. We are working at aligning these values in a future content update.

Bug Fixes / Balance Update



The following bug fixes and balance update are coming to the game!

• G1 Prowl ＆Brawl power core
  We have updated the description of the G1 Prowl and Brawl power core. It now reflects more accurately the amount of extra damage dealt for every level of the core.We have fixed a bug affecting the duration of the fire effect created by the G1 Prowl/Brawl power core. Previously, it could last up to 12 secs doubling the amount of damage provided over time. It now lasts for 6 secs as per the description.
   
• White Kremzeek
  We decided to disable the ability of White Kremzeek to target the HQ directly. Taking down the HQ easily from afar goes against our design idea of battles and unfortunately the Adaptive Shielding core did not prove to be a sufficient counterbalance. We are putting the White Kremzeeks in line with similar strong effects like Death Ray. The White Kremzeeks will stay as they are in any other aspect and will still be very useful against other targets than the HQ or in raids.
  • This balance update will go live at some point this Thursday.

Bug Fixes



The following bug fixes are coming to the game later today!

• We received a large number of player reports regarding First Aid/Reflectorshealing stat not matching the amount they actually deal.
  This issue was caused by the healing and bot power values being artificially high on the bots profile screen.
  • We have adjusted these values on the profile screen so they now match the effective power and healing of these bots on the battlefield.These changes are purely cosmetic and won’t make any difference for these bots healing or attacking power. 
     
• We fixed several issues affecting bots equipped with G1 Cores making them appear as the opposite faction bot in some specific situations.
• We fixed an issue getting bots stuck on the spot walking.
• Huffer and Lockdown's Special Ability turrets will now inherit a percentage of the health and damage stats from their creator. Please check the details on the wiki.
• Solved bugs affecting Blaster and Soundwave’s minions making them die immediately after deploy.
• Combiners could be previously be stunned by the Thunder Towers in Raid. This is now fixed.
• After triggering an outpost and entering stealth mode, outpost bots were targetingSlash/Rippersnapper without attacking them, pushing the bots off canvas. It is now fixed in most cases.

New Bots: Streetwise & Sinnertwin

Two Special class bots: Streetwise and Sinnertwin are joining the Earth Wars this weekend!



Nothing escapes Streetwise's notice, and even the most seemingly insignificant details get filed away in his hyperactive processor for further analysis. Put simply, Streetwise is an environmental sponge.

Put him anywhere in the galaxy and he'll know the place like the back of his hand in hours. Right down to the local dialects and slang expressions - which he often adopts.

With armaments such as double-barrelled air compressor cannon and sensor-blinding photon pistol, he packs a punch equally in both robot and car mode.

 




Inactivity weighs heavily on Sinnertwin, and if he's not ravaging or destroying something on a fairly regular basis he gets a little restless, and restlessness equates to going out and finding something to tear to shreds with his teeth, horns or claws.

Mayhem on any level brings him a singular pleasure, and Autobot cries and screams are music to his audio modules.

In his twin-headed dragon-like beast mode he has numerous weapons at his disposal, including a back-mounted flame cannon and internal flamethrowers that allow both heads to breathe fire.


Streetwise and Sinnertwin have the same ability.




Timesplit Grenade: Shoots a timesplit grenade. When caught in the explosion, every ally is 30% faster while enemies are 30% slower. Both effects last for seconds.

Their challenge battle will be available via newsfeed prior to the weekend event!

It’s been a good few months since anyone’s posted here. I continue to enjoy the game without even spending money but is anyone else even still playing? If so are you still enjoying it or do you think it’s run its course?

Aresholes in clans plus the need to constantly be playing killed the game for me.

I'll stick with Pokemon Go, I can play it at my own leisure.

Yeah, man, I try to keep things upbeat and lively but like nobody talks ever and nobody really earns much. At times lately I’ve been kinda, meh, about it, but in some ways it’s like another part of my Transformer collection. It’s still fun sometimes to put together a squad of my faves and just blow some stuff up

Pretty much this. I quit about this time last year for good cause it took almost your entire weekend to compete in an event to be in an alliance.

It just got big, you had a smaller group of players ruling the game and there are some BS things that have happened. It's just the life of a game sadly.

It needs to be better on more casual players. Casual free to play players basically can't do too much with any speed

I haven’t really jumped into Forged to Fight either. I loved Devastation when it came out but man TF gaming is flash in the pan sometimes. Booo, I say.

Just give me a TF RTS game in the style of Age of Empires and I'll be happy.

I’ve been playing for... less than a year I think? I haven’t burnt out yet but for anyone who’s cooled off on the game does this motivate you to give it another shot?

Everyone told me these two wouldn't be in the game, but now I can laugh in their face

I'd thought before these guys might show up as a replacement for the Raid-on-Cybertron missions, but now it occurs to me they might be a defensive counter to the combiners.

Well, I've heard rumors of the titans since base 16 was created, so glad to see they finally came for those who are still playing!

I watched some of the live feed and the new Dirge and Blades look pretty cool and have new special attacks I think he said they’re recuperative aid moves for your teammates. Hard not to look slick with those Dirge wings, whether it be cell drawn or CGI I always loved the conehead wings.

New Bots: Blades & Dirge
Two Aerial bots are joining the Earth Wars this weekend!


Despite his aerial proficiency and high-altitude targeting dexterity, Blades is a 'street-level' kind of 'bot, preferring to look his foe in the optic and get down and dirty like the streetfighter he is. He considers long-range attacks unsporting and cowardly, and would rather detach his rotor blades and slash through the enemy ground forces. But most times Blades concedes he was built for the skies, and his twin rocket launchers and dazzling photon bursts make him a highly effective aerial asset. Something his fellow Protectobots deeply appreciate.

Safe Zone: Drop a hack bomb dealing damage in an area. Confuse the targets for seconds (reducing their attack speed to 40% and making them attack your foes).


It's fair to say Dirge is a tank half-empty kind of 'con. His mournful, silent manner unnerves even his fellow Decepticons, and the sound of Dirge's engines has an uncanny effect on friend and foe alike. The chilling overture is merely the prelude to the petrifying fear they induce in whoever's in audio range, the unique combination of frequencies inducing acute, paralyzing fear and disorientation. However, if Dirge's concentration slips, he can fall prey to his own engine noise. But then he always has his air-to-air missile launchers and machine gun ports to fall back on.

Fear Inducing Signal: Drop a hack bomb dealing damage in an area. Confuse the targets for seconds (reducing their attack speed to 40% and making them attack your foes).

Updates / Improvements

The following Updates/improvements are coming to the game soon!

• Improvements in Raid Battles
  You will get much more ability points and XP for each destroyed health stack in Raid Battles. This update will go live in the next version update.

• Combiner Lock Camera
  The camera will not be zoomed out when combiner is deployed. This change will be live in the next version update.
• Bots getting stuck running on walls
  There were a few issues causing this problem, a fix will be coming with the next version update.

And the following update went live last Thursday

• G1 Arcee Core & G1 Skywarp Core
  The retreat distance for both of these cores has been significantly reduced. The rest of the effects will remain the same.
• Silverbolt & Thundercracker
  Their special ability damage has been increased.

Transformers Earth Wars mobile game is ready to very literally take things to the next level! Thanks to Youtube member Skywarp Greer we have his view of his beta test of the mighty Titan who don’t mind fightin’, Metroplex! And thanks to Youtube member Engineer Hoist we have a view of his beta test of the one mighty beast who turns your city into a feast, Trypticon! Although the factors mentioned in the videos are subject to change they do both note a repayment of ability points for every life bar taken out – how many life bars there are for each appears to vary, and also changes depending on whether they are in robot or city/base mode. Both have an attack range that stretches across the whole board and appear to be a far more formidable force than you’ve encountered in your playing before. It does not appear clear what will trigger robot mode versus base mode on these giants, but it is going to be a feature exclusive to Alliance raids so you may not be seeing these all the time, but it will surely be worth the wait. Skywarp Greer mentions he believes these to be up and ready sometime next week, possibly Tuesday or Wednesday. Ready to jump back into the game to check these beasts out? Titans have arrived!

The behemoths known as Titans have landed on Earth! The Titans are currently live in Raid battles!
A Challenge Battle facing off against the Titans is available via an in-game newsfeed now.
We have also introduced a new battle boost inspired by the Titans ability! This battle boost will be a part of the reward in the Titan Raids event, Titan Beam!

Titan Beam: Summon the Titans power with this beam dealing huge amounts of damage (3,060 for HQ16) in a large area.

Note: The amount of damage changes depend on the booster level (MK1,2 & 3) and HQ Level. Check out our wiki for the stats.
As we mentioned in last week’s newsletter, there will be a Hall of Fame in the newsfeed following the event listing which alliance used the least amount of attacks to take down The Titans!

The Shanix Store rework is at last completed! The update to the store went live yesterday. The following changes have been made:

• Power Core Chips have been removed as they have not been very popular

• Long loading times during the first boot after a fresh install or a version update. Loading time goes back to normal after a restart.
• Slash & Rippersnapper tend to chase Outpost Bots after finishing their abilities even though those Bots are far away.

Bug Fix

The following bug Fix is coming to the game soon!

• Sky Lynx and Blitzwing can’t do a second explosion after igniting a target.
  In order for Flamestrike to cause an explosion, the target needs to be under the effect of either Cloud or to be Ignited (Blue flame). Due to the bug fix of making the duration of ignition be the stated 6 secs, the second explosion will only be possible when SL or BW are close to the target. Exploding the Shroud has not been affected and it should be possible to chain a number of explosions while the Shroud is active.

Kudos to them for actually delivering on Trypticon and Metroplex.

New War League: Prime League

Later next week we will be introducing a new war league Prime League above the current highest Cybertron League.
This league is a bit different than the current leagues. The difference is that in every war battle in this league, special effects will apply to the defenders' buildings. Effects that can vary from an increase in HP or DPS to increased speed, or range of the defences.
The League effects will usually change every other month and will be clearly displayed in the war declaration screen and in the Battle/Scouting screens.
We will also be tracking the war wins for Prime league separately, to highlight how alliances are handling this new challenge and who is the best at it. You will be able to see these wins in the Alliance Info Page and also as a new field in the Wars Won leaderboard.

We are also planning on having a seasonal tally and highlight which alliances have won the most Prime League wins during that season. These seasons will match the change of League effects and will be clearly communicated in advance before they start. More details on this later.
League Promotion
Since we know that this additional challenge is not for everyone, we will not be automatically promoting alliances to this new League after winning in Cybertron. Instead, the Alliance's officers will get the option to promote to Prime League after winning a war in Cybertron.

In the Alliance war screen, officers will now see the above, with information of the Prime League’s effects and the option to Promote or continue fighting in Cybertron. This promotion option will only be available to go into Prime League for now. The rest of the leagues will still use the automatic promotion system based on wins.
The new Prime League will go live next Thursday on the 20/06!
War History
With the newly updated war league, we also wanted to bring a much-requested feature. The ability to check the war history of the alliance.
On the Alliance info screen for each alliance, you will get an extra War History tab. In this tab you can check the wars this alliance has taken part in the last 15 days, with details about the opponents and which league the war took place in.

Also if this is your own alliance, you will be able to tap on each war and open the alliance leaderboard for that war with detailed information of member attempts and scores. This feature will be available this Thursday with the content release.

New G1 Power Cores

Starting later this week, the following bot duplicates have a chance to drop the newest G1 Power Cores.
Each of these G1 Power Cores will give them a classic look and unique abilities!


G1 Laser Optimus & G1 Armada Megatron:
Give these G2 Leaders an exclusive G1 look! Also increases their Special Ability damage and generates a shield which absorbs 20% of all damage for 15 seconds.

G1 Silverbolt:
Boosts Regular Attacks damage and every 20 seconds your attack stuns your target for 5 seconds.

G1 Drag Strip:
Increases Special Ability damage and on attack, makes a decoy that has 30% of your health.Triggers every 15 seconds.

G1 Skydive:
Damage Reduction from Laser Turrets and Beam Lasers. While attacking, every 15 seconds you disappear in a halo and restore 7% health.

G1 Nightbird:
Increased health. While attacking, every 15 seconds you do a retreating backflip and restore 7% health.


G1 First Aid & G1 Hook:
Increases the power of your Heal Beam and gives you a 25% Move Speed boost.
The challenge battle to get a taste of these new G1 Power Cores will be available via in-game newsfeed!

Under investigation

Here are the issues reported that we've been investigating:

Game will sometimes crash after doing a raid attack
This issue is caused by using the last boost of a certain type in a previous battle and then immediately after that try to scout a base. The boost will still be available in the next battle that you go in and the game will crash you out at the end of that battle, invalidating your attack.

Slash/Rippersnaper is following OP bots, that are not near them after coming out of their ability

• Reports on Skylynx & Blitzwing not able to do combo an explosion when a target is still under the effect of Plasma Shroud
  We have seen mention of this issue but would like to get some more reports so that we can investigate.
