I know of a few things I have to work on for the next one,” said LaBeouf. “I’ve seen pre-vizes of the action scenes and I just saw Michael yesterday. It’s going to be bad-ass. We’re not making another one unless it is, and Mike is definitely not resting on his laurels — he’s doing insane shit again. And the pre-vizes that I’ve seen… it’s just massive. If the first one was any indicator of how massive massive can be, this is going to blow that out of the water. It’s insane. Mike’s mind was just kind of made for this — it’s amazing. There’s going to be a lot more characterisation with the robots, which I’m excited about. I was a fan of Transformers before the movie came out. And there’s going to be a lot of action…That goes unsaid, I guess”.
With the writers’ strike now thankfully over, Ehren Kruger, Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman can start getting on with the script. They’d better get a move on, since the film is set to start shooting in less than four months for a June 26, 2009 release.
This early in the game, LaBeouf wouldn’t be drawn on exactly what scenes he’s preparing for, despite our threats to kick him in the shins and moans of “Awwww, you’re mean”. But he would say, “There’s gonna be new robots on both sides. I can say that the war isn’t over… It’s hard to do interviews when you’re not allowed to talk about the movies. It’s like I give two or three things away and then I get reprimanded for it. It’s never fun to get reprimanded by these people”.

Seriously, how Even Stevens himself be right if the stuff he was reading it from desn't exist according to the studio making the movie?

Still, Dreamworks could be in cahoots with Bay here. I do beelive them that there is no script but I doubt they don't have at least half the designs for the robots finalized. Especially if they aim to get the movie out by the intended release date, next year.
There should be no doubt that they've been busy since the strike began.

No, I'm hoping the humans are going to BE center stage, as an all out war is waged on top of them, squishing them beneath massive, mighty robots.

But they still get to talk about feelings and teamwork still, right!?!

We could have Transformers: A Very Special Episode!
In the meantime, there's not a lot here to go on so I suppose we're just going to have to continue with our speculation.
Have any of the crew ruled out any characters / character ideas or is it still anyone's guess who turns up?

Stormrider wrote:I hope the computer hackers are back again. They totally made the last movie awesome. I'd like to see more make out scenes - perhaps inside Optimus Prime this time. And I hope Bay adds flames to all the Autobots and Decepticons, because flames make me think of explosions and all I want to see are explosions. Complicated plots and talking are boring.
Your sarcasm is noted and amusing.
I hope this movie will be better than the last. The last was seriously lacking Decepticons and well...too much human element and too much...of that female. The first was okay, providing I ignore one or two scenes that break my focus on it. But the movie was never the best thing in the world. It hasn't measured up to the one movie that made me cheer in the theater. I doubt anything will match that. In Transformer's defence though, it's a good mindless movie that's great to watch the awesome power of CG and special effects; the effects were stunning.
I am hoping that the second Movie does delve into the characterisation that I felt the first one was missing. I am also hoping that all characters involve help forward the plot. (unlike the hackers which seemed almost pointless. Funny, but Pointless.)
