The response to our Vector Zeta exclusive has been great, and we are nearly sold out! We’ve received from the designer a few files showing renders of a few parts of the Vector Zeta set, and should have prototype pictures very soon!

I'm holding onto that hope as well. This really does seem rushed and if it is just a Shapeways piece, I'm out. How do they not have finished samples yet? Their convention is just over a month away.

We asked the same thing about TFCC Punch/Counterpunch, didn't stop anyone
And yeah, that face looks like beginners work. If this is any indication of what the final set will look like then I'm glad I'm not bothering with it.

This is even uglier than the art they showed.

well, at least with Punch/Counterpunch the normal Sunstreaker and Sideswipe toys were out there, all it was was a repaint and new head, so there was a fairly decent idea of what he'd look like.

I own every version of the PMOP mold. G1, US reissue (multiple changes to the US mold), Fire Guts God Ginrai and Nucleon Quest Convoy. I'm still pretty desperate for a Classics version. Although I don't think I'm this desperate.

I'm also not really sure I'd like that it will be made out of resin as well. Usually resin is more fragile than plastic correct?

Seriously, looking at the initial pics that came out a bit ago, then these same-level 'renders', it looks as though this is some first attempt by a total novice in his bedroom in his spare time. This is the kind of thing you'd find one of on ebay because the guy that slapped it together is attempting to get cash off of a very first try at a custom. CERTAINLY no where NEAR worth the pricetag, especially when compared to entire new and quality figures coming from third parties.
F'real, if you're reading this post and actually dropped cash on this item; You have my sympathy. There's third party folks out there designing perfectly new & kickass figures, after all.

WORD to this. Was hoping that Heartmaster would do the trick, but nah, though its still cool.

this guys art really is great, id do myself a favor and check out the rest of his deviantart, pretty interesting takes on organic transformers, and huge yet elegant designs of other mecha. If you've ever seen the anime Samurai 7 his robot-y stuff looks like it would fit in standing side by side.
