Aye prob Grindor
Springer? he wasn't even in any of the Bayformers movies
Posted by RAR on May 7th, 2017 @ 3:16pm CDT
Also if that green Blackout is Springer that would be OK I suppose - as it would be a bit like Evac having a couple of Movie bodies.
Springer's unused design was pretty nice though. But Drift's (former) Helicopter mode is going to make people wonder why he wouldn't be a triplechanger. I am fine with a plane Vanilla Helicopter mode though.
---
Of for the bling bags I'd love to see them make toys of any and all characters who never or rarely had a toy before (Like Brains or the Kitchen crew) as well as revisit the likes of Dino, The Wreckers, Barricade, Frenzy, Jolt, Jetfire, Wheelie, or even Dispensor or Oreo-bot in someform.

He was supposed to be in Revenge of the Fallen but didn't make the cut.
However, he did end up getting two toys released, a Legends and a Robot Heroes.
Doesn't that Legends alt mode remind you of the TTC's alt mode?
I would think Grindor would be a gray version of this mold (even if the comics made him green).

Nah not really, as one is an osprey & the other is a different type of aircraft, but i guess we'll find out the identification of it when wave 2 is released

WreckerJack wrote:If you want a specific Tiny Turbo Changer there are some tips and tricks to finding the one you want. If feeling the bag and looking through the small window in the back bottom corner won't work for you there is a solution. We are aware that some toys are similarly colored and some people are unable to see color. You can tell what the toy will by looking at the embossed letter on the back of the packaging. The image below will show you where to look.
Now from here we reference Transformers fan Robert Hardin, whom has cracked the code.I have cracked the code!
I’ve been doing some online research on these Tiny Turbo Changers blind bags trying to see what bag has which character. The forums haven’t been helpful, many saying there aren’t codes anymore due to anti-gambling laws! This simply is not true, because I found individual letter codes on each package near the small window (which also gives you a hint). The codes are:
A – Grimlock gold
B – Grimlock black
C – Lockdown
D – Hound
E – Bee yellow
F – Crosshairs
G – Blackout
H – Soundwave
J – Starscream
K – Sideswipe
L – Bee black
! – Prime
Yes, Prime seems to be an exclamation point. Happy hunting!
If you would like to see what some of the Tiny Turbo Changers look like outside of their blind bags, check out this article.

Since it's molded and not paint, it shouldn't really matter. Wouldn't be the first time an Autobot had a molded Decepticon symbol.
Either way, it's either Grindor or Springer. It is worth noting they've used only characters that were in one of the movies so far (pending Beserker).

All kidding aside, I strongly suspect Hasbro wants to keep that name firmly attached to the big, fat, green, large-jawed Autobot for brand/marketing consistency, like how G1 Chase's Titans Return toy is named "Autobot Roadburn" instead of "Autobot Chase" (what with he "Chase" name being associated with the more recognizable Rescue Bot).SureShot18 wrote:Or it could be the movie version of Energon Bulkhead.

Then maybe that's why we have this green helicopter? Hasbro wants to keep the name Springer attached to that alt mode in that colour scheme but don't have any plans in particular for a Springer toy in the near future; so they just attach it to whatever random helicopter mold they can find and it just so happened in this case to be this TTC?

Its accurate to this movie, with all the blood of humanity splattered onto Optimus' body after his murderous rampage.
Also, its not the last deluxe, since this is a voyager toy. I think its a store exclusive.

I almost got this once in the fire-strike deco or something with the axe and flames. It was pretty cool, but I had no moneys. But this deco is... interesting

D-Maximus_Prime wrote:I almost got this once in the fire-strike deco or something with the axe and flames. It was pretty cool, but I had no moneys. But this deco is... interesting
Oh, that version of the mold is FANTASTIC, the axe looks brutal and if you remove the blue paint on the eyes, he looks more menacing than most Nemesis Primes out there, and since the deco is already different than his normal colors, I actually like having the solar panels, engine gas tanks and rocket feet, as they further set him apart from the other Optimus Primes from the movies.
Also, I got him stupidly cheap, as someone sold me Optimus AND Prime Sky Lynx for less than voyager price!

He's essentially a basic shellformer that looks kinda cool in both modes and while not documented you can repurpose the egregious kibble backpack into something actually kind of nice. The biggest pain is the price; I suppose the running theme for this line seems to be "is pretty cool, wait for price reductions".
I thought the Australian admin was the dodgy one?

Can't believe no one talks about that quality scene it was so realistic like they were really dying in irl it would explain why we never heard about those extras again.
Overall it was a great adaptation of Transformers: Buckets of Blood and I'm glad their finally homageing it here even if it's years late.

Unless I read the tags wrong (probably should have done a price check) then he's coming in at $30AUD which is pretty standard price for that point.

1. Cobotron got stress marks from removing the kibble in Barricade's back
2. Would Voyager Sentinel Prime be a good toy if you could remove his backpack?
3. Are you ok with simple Transformations?
Not trying to influence you, just getting you ready for this toy. Its a lot of money to plop down for a toy that showcases no evolutuion in the past decade of engineering.

That's 3 things actually
And even then, wrongo.
Burn, listen to your favorite staff member from the north american continent. Cobotron's experience is one of a few, mine has none and I mess with it a lot. Voyager Sentinel Prime should not even be compared to this toy. and the transformation, while simple, is satisfying and it involves a toy that feels like it has more plastic on it and feels better in hand. It may be a bit shorter than other deluxes, but it is sturdy and you will not break it messing with it.
It is functional, really awesome looking, and satisfying. Best figure of the first wave of TLK

Also, regarding simplicity, Burn was not fond of that Generations Leader Megatron toy which I know you are very fond of. We all have very different opinions and taste and regardless of what any of us think, we should lay down the facts for Burn to do the choice he feels is best for him.

I think so. He feels better, the paint actually works better (even though both have a lot), and he is more posable.
Optimus is very good, but he would be better if the knees could move more and the silver paint covered more, but I still enjoy Barricade more. And at least his sword didn't get stuck and break

Very sorry to hear that. But as you said about Cobotron's experience with Barricade, that is maybe a one off. Or it isnt and both Optimus and Barricade have points of weakness which make them flawed and easily damaged, who knows. I personally preffer the AOE line so far, if only for its freshness (and MSRPs). We call these flaws one offs but if it happens to Burn (or anyone else) that one off becaomes a huge set back for that person.
Did you contact Hasbro yet about your sword breaking? This wouuld be the perfect time to contact them. Hopefully you get a free voyager out of it.

And I should say Barricade is technically my 4th fave figure from the TLK line but I've not been counting voyager Grimlock or Deluxe Bee as I have those molds from AoE and while I do prefer those toys to Barricade, their recycling discounts them from my general TLK toy ranking where Prime and Barricade are brand new molds.

WHAT?! How did I get here? Ohhhhh, you guys Beetlejuiced me.
I don't hate Barricade. I did get some stress marks removing the backpack, but my comment on that was more to prove the point that, I have no problem with backpacks, and it wasn't really unnecessary for me to remove it in the first place. You guys know I'm not a movie fan. I've never liked the aesthetic. But, some times when that aesthetic has to be simplified to work as a toy, you end up with some good toys.
I like the Barricade toy because he conforms to a more classic TF design. Car hood chest, door wings, hands with 5 fingers, feet, those kinds of things. Also like his head sculpt because he doesn't have a mouth. HE also has a pretty classic transformation. Simple is fine with me.
I like my movie bots to be able to blend into my Classics/Gen collection, and Barricade can do that nicely. We always need more Cons, right? I also like all his weapons including the brass knuckles. He's a cool looking evil cop bot in his C.H.I.P.S. boots.
I think Prime looks pretty cool too, but I'm in no rush to grab one. IMO and aligned with the TF design I like, Barricade is the coolest Deluxe from the first wave, and the only one I'll get.
Burn, buy whatever makes you happy.

See, I'm preferring this line so far. The new molds feel more solid and I think they are getting a bit more love. this voyager prime is on par with the evasion mode one, but I like this one more. It is a bit less fiddly and feels more solid to me. and it feels denser. Barricade feels like a better deluxe than most, if not all, of the AoE lines figures, with everything that I've said previously.
I can't get money back for the sword as I glued it back together.

When i was attempting to store it in vehicle mode, the sword got stuck in the hilt. scratched the paint on the sides and then, while trying to get it out, it basically snapped in half, holding together by a thin film of plastic
