Fellow Seibertronians, we are glad to announce that Steve Blum, the talented voice of Transformers: Prime Starscream and Rescue Bot Heatwave among many others, will be attending the Grand Rapids Comic-con held from October 21-23! The Grand Rapids Comic-con will be held at the DeVos Place in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Below is the Bio that the Grand Rapids comic-con published to their website. The full site and page can be found here.

With literally hundreds of voice over credits to his name, veteran voice monkey Steve Blum is best known as the voice of numerous animated television shows including the following: Spike Spiegel from “Cowboy Bebop”; Wolverine from several incarnations of X-Men (animated movies, games, the Wolverine and the X-Men TV Series, “The Super Hero Squad Show”, “X-Men Anime” and more); Orochimaru, Zabuza and others from “Naruto”; Green Goblin from “The Spectacular Spiderman” series; and Heatblast, Vilgax and Ghostfreak from “Ben 10”.

Steve is even more of a prolific voice over actor in video games, including the following characters: “Grayson Hunt” (Bulletstorm), “Grunt” (Mass Effect 2 and 3),”Zoltan Kulle” (Diablo 3); “Abathur” (Starcraft 2:Heart of the Swarm); “Tank Dempsey” (Call of Duty); “Killer Croc” (Arkham Asylum); “Oghren” (DragonAge); “Vincent Valentine” (Final Fantasy VII); “Leeron” (Guren Lagann); “Jamie” (Megas XLR); and Storm Troopers and many others in most of the Star Wars games. Steve is also the voice of 7-11, dozens of Digimon and a gigantic list of other characters from Anime, Video Games, TV and Film. In 2012, Steve was inducted into the Guinness Book of World records as Most Prolific Voice Actor in Video Games – appearing in almost 300 games (now approaching 400!)

steve blum star warsRecently, you can find him on the Emmy award-winning “Transformers: Prime” playing the sometimes delusional but always deadly Decepticon Starscream, as well as Heatwave on the action-packed, kid-friendly “Transformers: Rescue Bots”! Also as Devil Dinosaur on “HULK: Agents of SMASH”, several characters on “Ultimate Spider Man”, “Ben 10: Omniverse”, “The Regular Show”, “Doc McStuffins”, “Uncle Grandpa”, “Wander over Yonder”, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, “Tenkai Knights”, and as the terrifying anti-bender Amon on the hit series “Avatar: The Legend of Korra”!

And after 4 years off the air, thanks to tremendous fan support, every Saturday night, Steve once again takes the helm of the great star cruiser Absolution, reprising his role as “TOM” the robotic host of Cartoon Network’s Toonami on Adult Swim.

Steve currently voices Zeb Orellios in the smash hit “Star Wars Rebels” and was featured in the Laika feature The Boxtrolls.

Marvel G1 Transformers comic writers Bob Budiansky and Jim Salicrup are returning to East Coast ComicCon this year along with Marvel G1 inker Dave Hunt. Mr. Hunt brought original art pages from the unreleased Marvel Comics adaptation of Dweller in the Depths to last years's ECCC. I don't know if he'll do it again but it might be worth checking out his portfolios at the show to see what possibly unpublished stuff he has still lying around in his collection.

Also there will be Ken Lashley, the artist who did all the designs for TransTech. And Michael Golden who did the cover for Marvel's issue #2 is scheduled to appear.

The Montreal Comiccon has been growing immensely in the recent years to become one of the biggest cons in Canada. However, this year, it takes things to the next level by having the one and only Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime, as a featured guest. This is the very first appearance of any Transformers G1 voice actor, and way to hit a homerun on the fist chance at bat.

Peter Cullen’s many voices are well known throughout the world. The 2011 Emmy® nominated voice actor is best known for providing the voice of Optimus Prime from the Transformers franchise. Be it feature films (Transformers, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Transformers: Dark of the Moon and the most recent box office smash, Transformers: Age of Extinction), animated series (Transformers Prime, Transformers: Robots In Disguise, Rescue Bots ), video games or anything in the Transformers universe that requires the deep resonating heroic voice of Optimus Prime, it is Cullen’s talented voice that is heard.

The Montreal Comiccon will take place from July 8-10 2016 at Palais des congrès.

Montreal Comiccon is starting Friday, Jully 8th, and one of its special guests is non other than Optimus Prime himself, Peter Cullen. Unlike other guests, getting an autograph from Mr Cullen requires a special package so here is a breakdown of the packages available and the prices for those wanting to attend:

Earlier this year, we announced that Peter Cullen would be coming home, to meet his fans at Montreal Comiccon. Best known as the original voice of Optimus Prime in the Transformers 80s Cartoon series, and most other appearances thereafter, he has also brought to life Eeyore in the Winnie the Pooh franchise, Monterey Jack in Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers, and many other classic 80's and 90's cartoons. This is a rare appearance with specialty tickets required, only available for Saturday and Sunday, and limited to 125 autographs each day*. Make sure you get your tickets now before they are all gone!

The Gold package will get you an autograph on an item of your choice, one table photo (bring your camera), one Montreal Comiccon exclusive Transformers comic book from IDW, and priority access to the Peter Cullen Q&A on Saturday afternoon, with a collectible badge. The Silver Package will include an autograph on an item of your choice, one table photo, and one Montreal Comiccon exclusive Transformers comic book from IDW.

Tickets are now available! Go to the Tickets section to buy yours!

*Walk up at table purchase will NOT be available as he is only signing a limited amount of items during a limited amount of time.

The Montreal Comiccon starts today and there are two nice Transformers panels planned during the week-end. You can view the entire schedule here.

On Saturday (July 9th), you can catch the Peter Cullen panel at 4:45 PM, in room 710b - Freeman Theatre. Questions must be asked in advance and you can ask them here.

On Sunday (July 10th), yours truly will be hosting a Transformers panel at 2:00PM, called 30+ Years of Transformer Toys and their Evolution, in room 514a - Panel Room 1. It is aimed at people who are not familiar with the past 30 years of toys and features different Optimus Prime toys from throughout those years, starting with G1, that will be transformed live to show the evolution of the toys.

Sadly, I dont think there will be. I think they only tape the panels with the stars, like Shatner. I dont even know if the Peter Cullen Panel will be taped (professionally).

It was pretty fun afterall. There was a line up, I couldnt beleive it. Unintenionally it turned into an Abbot and Costello act where I was the straight man and Kanrabat was the one cracking jokes. Most of the jokes were about him swearing while trying to transform them live and pieces coming off.

The Peter Cullen panel was great. He reiteated somthing I still do not believe: that he is playing the same optimus in the films as the one he portrayed in G1. But hey, he's the official sourcefor that info on characterisation, and will be strict about what he cant say as optimus, so I must abide. Also, he had to audition 3 times to play the role of Optimus in the films. He was seen as a voice actor like any other. That sounds pretty nuts to have Peter freaken Cullen audition for the role of Optimus.
Oh and he is from my hometown and the town fo the show: Montreal. Didnt know that.

We're reminded that next weekend - 5-6 November - is time for Shanghai Comic Con, and Tranformers artist Andrew Griffith, from IDW's The Transformers and multiple more, will be attending as a guest. Check out more info here and below!

Andrew Griffith is a freelance comic book artist, designer and illustrator currently working on Transformers comics for IDW Publishing.

After he did well enough to arrive on IDW’s radar, he was brought on as an inker and fill-in artist on prequel comics for the film “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” and the critically acclaimed mini-series “Last Stand of the Wreckers.”

He is best known for his own mini-series to illustrate, a prequel comic to the “Transformers: Dark of the Moon” film. Griffith also has worked on various projects for Hasbro, illustrated Transformers DVD covers for Shout! Factory, and contributed professional work on properties including G.I. Joe, TMNT and Back To The Future. Griffith’s pencils can currently be seen in the IDW Publishing’s Ongoing Transformers series, “Robots in Disguise.”

We will have toys from G1 to this year's Transformers The Last Knight on hand. The panel will be in room 515a at 2:30 pm and it will be cohosted by fellow Seibertronian Kanrabat. See you there!

Hey Seibertronians!
I, your very own Bronzewolf, will be hosting a Transformers/Toy Industry panel at Fort Collins Comic Con in Colorado on Sunday, August 27th, starting at 2:15 in the Enterprise room! I'll be doing a small presentation on how the growing culture of adult toy collectors has shaped the toy market, followed by a Q&A, where you can feel free to ask me anything, wether it be about Seibertron, Transformers, pop culture, or anything else you want to know!
I'll have a wide array of Transformers, old and new, from G1 to Masterpiece, on display to show the evolution from basic children's toy to hyper accurate, super articulated collector's grade figure.

It promises to be a fun time, the first of what I want to be many, and I hope to meet some of you there! Please drop by if you're in the area!

Further schedule updates and general details will be posted to the Fort Collins Comic Con facebook.

We wouldn't have the Masterpiece line if it weren't for adult fans/collectors.

Thanks to an update from their Facebook page, we have news that David Kaye, the well loved voice actor who lent his voice to the mean purple dinosaur known as Beast Wars Megatron, will be attending the Great Lakes Comiccon in 2018! David Kaye had his first Transformers experience as the voice of Megatron from both Beast Wars and Beast Machines, and eventually voiced Optimus Prime in Transformers: Animated, on of the few voice actors to voice both the big bad and the Prime himself.

Great Lakes Comiccon will be held on February 23-24, 2018 at the Macomb Community College, Warren, Michigan.

A new day... a new month... a new guest annoucement!

Join us in welcoming David Kaye to the Great Lakes Comic-Con! Appearing on Saturday, February 24, 2018 ONLY!

David is best known for being the voice of Megatron on Transformers Beast Wars, Beast Machines, and more! He was also the voice of Animated Optimus Prime, General Hawk on G.I. Joe and much more!

Her last few issues of TAOO were great.

But I wasn't a fan of those Hasbro-verse books.

the first few issues of TAAO were ok, then it descended into...yeah....

Now I see her with credits on such animated series as Guardians of the Galaxy. Apparently continuity in these series means absolutely nothing anymore. Its just about being a pale copy of the films. Season 3 kicks off literally with an episode which is an animated version of the Mission Breakout ride at Disney's California Adventure. The characters are automatically updated to look like their post *Volme 2* selves with no regard to what happened in the last season. Gawd....being a fan of comic-based animated series is torture. But I don't fully blame Scott, she is just a pawn in all of this.

Jeph Loeb is the mastermind of this disaster. I hate his decisions so much. As great as Spectacular Spider-Man & Avengers: EMH are, (which Loeb cancelled) I've rewatched them so many times in the past decade, I have them practically memorized.

Hey Seibertronians! It's my pleasure to announce that I'll be presenting my Panel "Never Grow Up: How Toy Collectors Created an Industry" at this year's Denver Comic Con, one of the largest conventions in the country! This is the same talk I gave at last year's Fort Collins Comic Con, just obviously on a bigger scale! It'll be on Saturday (6/16/18) at 4:30pm in the Central City - Mile High Ballroom DCCP3, if you're around, please come check it out! I'll have a large table with an awesome display spanning the generations of Transformers toys, from G1 to now, as well as TF comics and toys to give away! We'll go on a brief journey though comic and collectible history, and show how this new demographic of adult fans impacted that industry! We'll also have a short Q&A at the end, just in case you have a question about my presentation, my work at Seibertron, or my thoughts or opinions on anything that comes to mind! Would love to see you there!

If you live in or come across Montréal, come to MONTREAL COMICCON. From July 6th to July 8th.

Image

https://www.montrealcomiccon.com/en/

Yours's truly will hold a panel about Transformers toys. The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly. I will compare toys that come from the same line, the same category. One would be an incredible one compared to one that is bafflingly designed. Me and my partner's English are not good enough to hold a bilingual panel. Beside, making in in both French and English would just make the thing less fun and spontaneous. So the panel will be in French only. But eh, come anyway if you don't understand French completely. You'll get the gist of it, I'm sure. ;)^

Part of the new direction that the Hasbro Transformers brand team is taking on the international stage, we have news that the team will be present at Comic Con Paris 2018 ( taking place in the French capital on October 26-28, official site here ). Along with the entirety of the event's programme, the source specifically points out that 'for toy collectors, [there will be] a Hasbro booth with new releases and lines from Star Wars Black Series, Marvel, Venom, Transformers and Bumblebee. And a panel where some exclusives will be revealed.'

While we do not know whether said exclusives are for the Bumblebee Movie, or any of the Transformers lines (such as War For Cybertron Siege, and those elusive Decepticons), this may be of interest to any fan thinking of taking part in the convention next month! We will make sure to update you all on any new reveals pertinent to our robot interests, of course, so stay tuned to Seibertron.com.

Pour les collectionneurs de #Toys, un stand @Hasbro avec des nouveautés et collectors #StarWars Black Series, #Marvel, #Venom, #Transformers et #Bumblebee. Et un panel où seront révélées des exclusivités. #ComicConParis

We've received a notification of a guest reveal at Fanboy Expo in Knoxville this year, thanks to its organisers, featuring one of the staple voices of the Transformers franchise, but well known for his work in several other series: Frank Welker!

Read on more below, and head to the event's site for more information and tickets. The event runs on 12-14 July 2019, so you still have a decent amount of time.

Frank Welker is best known is best known for voicing iconic characters Fred Wilson and Scooby-Doo in the ScoobyDoo franchises which is celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2019. He is also Megatron in the Transformer series and movie franchises. In addition he has voiced hundred of other characters on series such as The Real Ghostbusters, Garfield, Futurama, The Smurfs, Aladdin, GI Joe, Super Friends and many more! which For his complete filmography click here to visit his imdb profile.

man I'd love to meet him! the guy is an iconic god of the voiceover world!!

I mean seriously, take the 80s alone, he was probably involved in 95% of the cartoons of that time...whether it was a main role, reacuring, guest spot or just growls for animals or monsters, he was everywhere!

of course I'd wanna meet him due to Megatron...but Fred is another iconic role, outside of the Pup Named Scooby Doo series, I think he's voiced Fred in every animated Scooby incarnation since it began in 1969, that's crazy!

not to mention Dr. Claw on Inspector Gadget, a voice he's used in numerous other properties as well including Soundwave!

anyway I'm jealous! :)
