Apparantly, the National Geographic premiere of CoolQuest tonight at 8:00pm (Eastern time) on MSNBC will feature a segment on the Transformers. It has been reported that a television preview showing the host, Lisa Ling, discussing what is considered to be popular these days, and one of which being the Transformers while showing some figures including Energon Bulkhead and Alternator Silverstreak. However an online preview of the show has no mention of the Transformers.

** UPDATE FROM SEIBERTRON **

MSNBC just finished airing the segment on their CoolQuest show tonight about just what exactly is "cool". Takara was featured because of all of the fascinating products they produce in Japan, including "one of the most popular boys toy lines of all time - the Transformer(s)".

It was pretty cool to see inside of Takara's offices. One of the employees at Takara demonstrated the Binaltech Silverstreak to the reporter because she owned the station wagon version (hatchback?) of the Subaru. We also got a sneak peak at a white repaint of Energon Landmine as well as the Mazda Meister.

The article about tonight's CoolQuest can be found here. Unfortunately, the article doesn't actually mention Takara by name nor does it mention the Transformers. The closest thing that the article mentions about Takara from the show is "a device that allows people to program their own dreams", a creation from Takara.

I'm not quite sure when the episode will rerun later tonight, but I would keep an eye on their schedule for more details.

Awesome segment ... did anyone record it by any chance?
