However, only DA-32 Ultimate Optimus Prime and DA-27 Human Alliance Basic Reverb currently have live product pages. Check out the official images below.

Is this Ultimate OP any more poseable than the Hasbro? Do the big fore arms fall off? Any more posable? Price?

Its the same big POS as the US release unless it has some minor paint schemes changed. And since its in Japan it will cost you almost double what the US version would cost.

God... that HA basics line needs to go away already. such complete utter trash. as a Transformers fan i am embarassed of this line as its not even have a single mode worth a damn. The vehicle modes for these arent real... waste of plastic. And that optimus prime is turrible. those arms are retarded with wheel kibble????

again i never like to leave a strictly negative post so to end this on a good note... looking forward to HA Soundwave! :CON:

Well, it's a Takara, so there just HAS to be some sort of improvement on the original, like the forearms not falling off and maybe a slight bit more poseability, perhaps in the arms?

As for Reverb, is he some sort of hover cycle or what? :BOT:

I swear, I don't see any changes made here from the original. Lots of dull grey. Reverb looks amazing as ever, cool in all three modes, And Ultimate Prime is Growing on me. I'm not naming names, but somebody Counterpunched me into wanting one.... ANYWAY..... This post here....

I only have ONE Question....do you own one or two molds from the human alliance basics? Because they certainly are NOT Trash! Give them a chance! Im giving Ultimate OP A chance I thought Id'e never give him, but these cost WAY less, so it's not that much of a loss if you don't like it! My recomendation? Whirl!

No i do not own any of them... to me (yes this is my personal take on the Transformers), that the whole concept and point of the Transformers on Earth is to blend into and hide among us (which i think is super freakn cool). I have all these sexy HA toys (Jazz, Bumblebee, Sideswipe, etc...) with these sick alt modes. The thought for me is this... maybe my Chryser Crossfire is really a Decepticon.. joking joking.. but follow where i am going with this? again my opinion... but the Fallen, and any other cybertronian alt mode is beyond boring... boarderline lazy if you ask me. so no i will not give the HA basic line a second look... unless i want to light something on fire and watch it slowly drip hot flaming plastic on itself.. cuz thats always fun.

to further illistrate my point consider this. The first Transformers Bayverse movie held a decepticons like Barricade, Bonecrusher, Brawl, and Blackout... sure none of them had many lines in the movie, but because of there alt modes you develop a sense of personality from them (ie cops are jerks). So i felt personality from those characters. Great way to cheat and develop characters without having to have much screen time (expense). Now in ROTF and DOTM we had all these Cybertronian mode guys running around... i did not give a crap about... fodder... and i did not like that. I liked when Ironhide died (albeit sad) it felt like it mattered... you felt the loss of Starscream and Soundwave... now i do think they killed off too many cuz we still need cons for the 4th movie. but my point is cybertronian and having no Earth mode doesnt make for an interesting Transformer (again my opinion).

Reverbs 3rd "fan" mode can be used as a shield for bigger TFs to use. Least thats what I saw in a pic recently. So thats pretty cool, but other than my slowly increasing interest in Whirl, I don't care for the HA Basics, just coz of how big the vehicle is to the human.... (and having a human in my collection means everything around it has to fit his scale). Otherwise, they look like a great step forward in engineering for their size.

That alt mode for Reverb is really cool in that Hasbro is making some more crazy looking vehicles, I really dig that. Although, I wonder how it moves forward as it seems to lack THR'ST!

Word. Best of the bunch.

Aside from Whirl though I was highly disappointed with Breakdown and the moon buggy repaint of Sandstorm. I like Tailpipe, but his namesake should totally be removeable for use as a handheld gun and TargetMaster is crap. The human figures are crap as well and I really wish Hasbro and gone the extra mile and made these Human Alliance figures a higher price point and scaled them to 1/18 scale to interact with their G.I. Joe line… Whirl would make an awesome F.A.N.G. replacement and Sandstorm could have been a sweet V.A.M.P. sigh…

I am going to get Reverb because, like Tailpipe, I like his robot mode though his alt-mode is weirdly off-balance for a hoverbike and I hope his shield mode (as opposed to "weapon" mode) is a as good as Whirl's unofficial weapon mode of a sling cannon. The human interaction "weapon modes are ridiculous in every figure with possible exception of Tailpipe who becomes another (oddly off-balance) hoverbike.

And that is also the only thing that is great about Reverb. It's a very weird vehicle-mode. I really don't understand what it is.

Thats because its not really a Transformer.... that "vehicle" mode is just a curled up robot sleeping on his back. I pity the fool who buys into this HA basics line... all your doing is promoting laziness on the part of Hasbro.

You could say the same of just about every Autobot mode. Turn them over and "Look it's a robot!"

No... in Robot mode the Transformers in which you refer to have recognizable Earth mode parts all over them... they have to put alot more creativity into a Transformer that actually looks like something we recognize here on Earth. Your comeback is weak.... :-$

I don't know what your argueing bout, dude. The HA Basics actually have some really interesting alt modes. In fact, I think its the first time we're getting such a large number of crazy vehicles like those 3 wheeled roadster atvs, or a four legged mech pod dealy, all with a more realistic look to 'em... and they actually transform in some cool looking bots. These should be done on a deluxe scale or voyager with gi joes piloting em, as someone else mentioned. That would be a prime way to have TF collectors, and perhaps Joe collectors suddenly buying into a new market. Hasbro needs to do this up and increase its sales, stat. :D
