Takara Tomy Transformers Legends LG31 Fort Max to Include Sounds, Including Ikuya Sawaki Clips

Dang. Now that makes it really tempting to pick up. I love Headmasters Fortress voice, and having a Max that plays the theme tune...

I'm having a really hard time with the choice on Blaster.

I really like the leg color, but the white face with visor just looks wrong to me.

(also, the big black dot on his chest is out of place...)

It's more of their ongoing sometimes misplaced goal to recreate perfect show deco. As Ryan keeps saying, this is often to the detriment of the toy.



And I dont even get it, this toy is clearly not the G1 Blaster but instead a new take on him, due to all the new playability, transformation, gimick, ect. So I dont see why Takara cant instead opt for a deco that works best for this new toy rather than impose their current agenda.

Also, what blows a bit is that MSRP in Japan has gone up 5$ for the Leader Class.

It looks out of place because they half-assed it. It should have been a painted gray window with the dot. The way it is looks lousy.

But, like you said, that still leaves the face looking off. They cant give him his traditional eyes because of the helmet gimmick.

Oh yeah,f'sho. I was just referring to regular ol' piping such as you'll find on Samus' body suit or super hero costumes, ala Fantastic Four-which is used to break up a simple design.

The body may be an upgrade, but the character itself will be Cartoon Broadcast/Blaster in the Legends line.

Legends Fortes Maximus is honestly one of the best modern releases i've seen from takara, this side of UW Devastor. Though I wonder if it's possible to fudge a "city mode" rather than a base mode. That goes for the domestic version as well.

It's a heavy retool of Metroplex, right? So couldn't people try fudging around with Metroplex to see if they could get a city mode out of him that might be good groundwork for Fort Max?

Wish that was possible though but in order to do it, the new Fortmax should have a hollow "calf"

Yeah, or a double jointed knee. Metroplex could have used an extra swivel just below the knee for a more G1 transformation, but I don't know if that would have helped a Ft. Max city mode. Given his size, Metroplex does have a rather limited and simple transforming scheme...

My question is, where can i order it to FULLY pay for it, like "lock in the price". Anime-Export had it for $165 USD before shipping, i figured he'd be 2.5kg when I calculated shipping which roughly comes to $205 shipped via EMS. Which is like to pay. Now. And then he shows up in a few months

You surprise me Cram with this trial to import from japan when buying from TFSource is only 20$ different. But I welcome you trying to branch out. That's my problem in general with a lot of Takara's decos. They apply slavish toy-accurate decos to toys that are clearly not meant to be slavishly show-accurate so it just ends up looking... really off to me. Sometimes it can work out well through coincidence, but... ech. Rewind is a perfect example of this.

I'm holding back on any pre-orders on this until I see if the Tak/Tom version has retooled Cerebros into Fortress.

I already sorta know they're gonna, but you can never be sure!


I'm also going to have a serious think about if I even *want* to explain preordering this beastie to Mrs.Memph and paying for the release the same month little MiniMemph arrives.

I'm REALLY hoping for a Fortress deco as well!

AND CONGRATS ON DE BAYBAY!! MiniMemph SHOULD be smaller than Fortress Maximus length wise (or that's a LONG baby!) but will definitely outweigh him!!

I think Weej has a point. @TFYuki is well documented at waving his designer penis whenever there's retooling to be had and they need to steer people away from buying the Hasbro version.

We knew about Takara blast-off being in the pipeline before the US version had even hit the shelves and here we are now 5-6 months later and it's not even out yet.

Legion. Beast Hunters Legion Prowl works well. Also, thw G1 probably has a more involved Transformation than the nw TR one. I just love forming that central tower.

Sabrblade has a firm point also. Not showing cerebros and spike definitely feels like theres some suspense being deliberately built up for something but even that could just be for a really creative decco.

I don't see why cerebros (I'm using the amreican names to avoid confusing people) wouldn't have a new head. All the other headmasters revealled so far do. And we know they've given him the master sword, so they have made some changes already.

Yeah, they're probably just not showing it yet to keep it a big surprise.

But then again, the Titan Fort Max might be cheaper to make than the Encore, so there could still be hope for Titan Grand and Titan Brave redecos. Yeah, the decepticon redeco of him. That to my knowledge never even showed up in the OVA, was just in the toyline and some randomass manga.
