I really like the leg color, but the white face with visor just looks wrong to me.
(also, the big black dot on his chest is out of place...)

BUt no confirmation about the Brave Sword? Also, wonder if the headmaster unit would still fit in the Brave Pretender

It's more of their ongoing sometimes misplaced goal to recreate perfect show deco. As Ryan keeps saying, this is often to the detriment of the toy.

And I dont even get it, this toy is clearly not the G1 Blaster but instead a new take on him, due to all the new playability, transformation, gimick, ect. So I dont see why Takara cant instead opt for a deco that works best for this new toy rather than impose their current agenda.
Also, what blows a bit is that MSRP in Japan has gone up 5$ for the Leader Class.

I know.
It looks out of place because they half-assed it. It should have been a painted gray window with the dot. The way it is looks lousy.

But, like you said, that still leaves the face looking off. They cant give him his traditional eyes because of the helmet gimmick.

Sorry to dissapoint you mate, but it's not lightpiping, they painted part of his visor red and part blue to simulate his face and eyes from the G1 cartoon
Oh yeah,f'sho. I was just referring to regular ol' piping such as you'll find on Samus' body suit or super hero costumes, ala Fantastic Four-which is used to break up a simple design.

Just the lighting angles. There'll be more better images I hope.

The body may be an upgrade, but the character itself will be Cartoon Broadcast/Blaster in the Legends line.william-james88 wrote:And I dont even get it, this toy is clearly not the G1 Blaster but instead a new take on him, due to all the new playability, transformation, gimick, ect.

Are you FRACKING KIDDING ME?!Dr Va'al wrote:Online retailer anime-export.com has updated the listing for Takara Tomy Transformers Legends LG31 Fortress Maximus, revealing a fun little tidbit of information, which will probably go down well with fans of the original Headmasters series: it looks like the Japanese version of the toy will include new voice recordings by original voice actor Ikuya Sawaki. I think Takara just won this round for me. I can't NOT buy this one if he plays the theme song!!!!!!!!

If anything, it would the the intro and chorus, separated clips.

Wish that was possible though but in order to do it, the new Fortmax should have a hollow "calf"

Here's the three minute version me, my wife, and my daughter (she turned 2 in March) listen to every morning on the way to daycarefenrir72 wrote:Tatakai.............HeadomastaaaaaaaaaaaaaaJelZe GoldRabbit wrote:If anything, it would the the intro and chorus, separated clips.Kurona wrote:What part of the theme will he play? It finishes playing, my daughter says "Woooo! More Headmasta!" That was my selling point on getting the Takara version of Fortress Maximus to my wife this morning

Yeah, or a double jointed knee. Metroplex could have used an extra swivel just below the knee for a more G1 transformation, but I don't know if that would have helped a Ft. Max city mode. Given his size, Metroplex does have a rather limited and simple transforming scheme...
