I dont really buy Funk Pop but since I bought the 10inch Soundwave, I figured OP would go nicely with him and kind of hard to pass it up at the price of 10 bucks.. I think this was normally around 30 bucks at Walmart, so a good deal for sure.

I saw my fair share of Origins BB. However I don't think there are any left in my area, but heck for $11 ( which is what I actually think it's worth). I'd get it.

I think it's probably a combination of pandemic distribution causing a ton of them to drop all at once when they were probably planning on a trickle over time, over production and overestimating what random people would pay for a small (but very parts heavy) figure. I think they thought just being Bee meant these would fly off the shelves, and they probably did sell more than enough to turn a profit and it probably doesn't hurt the chances of other new molds being done, but once you get past the hardcore fans, the casual fans and the parents you're left with all these people that don't want to pay $22 for a tiny figure.
Distribution really is dumb. I hadn't seen a single WFC exclusive after the Rainmaker and Micromasters sets in Siege but I've seen all of the Buzzworthy releases except for the Worlds Collide set.

Emerje
Agreed. I feel bad for all that wanted the Worlds Collide set, but never saw it. I had a chance to even get it at 25% off since it was in stock when Target was having a specific toy sale, but even that wasn't enough to sway me as I was just marginally interested in Fangry, but I'm perfectly ok not having it.
Come to think of it, I don't have a single Bee in my entire current collection to date. I had the original Goldbug, and G2 BB before I sold my vintage collection. I purchased for my son the first release of Animated Bumblebee (which he still has, but its a parts former since he played with it so much the parts on ball joints just fall apart ). When the BB Movie came out, I got that 3 pack of TR cassettes(tablets?), but the cheap-o BB toy that came with it, my son gifted to one of his younger friends.
But seeing Origins is on clearance in some areas has given me the idea to check out a couple of the more distant Target stores in my area. I have to go there anyway for other things, might as well check and see.

This is the sticking point I brought up in the beginning, even though I love the figure it feels too expensive for a "kids" line especially when you considers his size next to other DLX bots. IMO it's a $15 figure regardless of how neat and nostalgic or complex it is because it also has to appeal to the non hardcore fanbase if you're placing it in Buzzworthy line and not Selects or a main collector line.

I've heard nothing but praise, but for $22, it is just way too much to ask IMHO. Coincidentally I did find one for $16 today at a Target, it wasnt marked as such, that's just what it scanned at. I still passed. If I do find one for $10-$11 though , I'll probably get it.

Still, if you have been waiting to pull the trigger on larger items such as Black Zarak, The Ark, or Kingdom Rodimus, they are all available at that 40% off price, quite a deal.
Also usually 2 Voyagers and a Deluxe, or 3 deluxes and a. Core ( you get the idea) will score you the 40% off deal as well.

Sale runs until June 6, but you'll want to get in early for the best deals as stuff is already selling out in the first hours!

I did get the jruassic park set, at that price I'm willing to get it regardless of the flaws. I also got several studio series toys that did not make it to Canada (like Ratchet, Brawn and Starscream) as well as Tricranius. I wanted that triceratops fossilizer.
Another reason for you to pass on Black Zarak is that you already have Scorponok.
I did the opposite. Skipping Sporpy and getting Blacky.
Too bad the shipping price, taxes, and exchange rate still make buying those things "on sale" pretty prohibitive for us Canadians.

I am seriously tempted to go back and order Black Zarak as well, since I passed on Scorponok...

Also getting Covert Agent Ravage, Artfire, Dk2-Guard, Lift Ticket, Perceptor, and Bee movie Brawn, Ratchet, and Wheeljack.
Saving 165 bucks from what I would have paid if I got these full price!

Plus I'm going to a small toy show this Saturday, the first in almost a decade! so I am excited, seeing things in person is always more enjoyable than shopping online. If I don't score anything exciting, then I can revisit this Saturday night as it will still be going, some items will not doubt sell out (I think that is what Hasbro is hoping at least), but we shall see.
Best deal would be the Super7 GI Joe BAT Trooper that costs exactly $75 (and would be $51.99 after the discount and shipping).
You could also get 7 Core Class figures that would cost about $80 at retail, now only about $55.

-Kanrabat- wrote:Too bad the shipping price, taxes, and exchange rate still make buying those things "on sale" pretty prohibitive for us Canadians.
This is the best deal us canadians are going to get for most of these toys, even beats clearance prices. And I don't really understand why you are including taxes since we'd pay the same taxes if we bought them at local retail, it's 15% either way
Deluxes are $13 USD, so 17 CAD instead of 35 CAD if bought locally
Voyagers (and that exclusive fossilizer triceratops) is only $20 USD, so 25 CAD instead of 48 CAD if bought locally
And the Jurassic park set is only $63 USD so 80 CAD instead of 138 CAD if bought locally
I bought 3 voyager priced figures, 5 deluxes and the Jurassic Park set for a total of 323 CAD shipping and taxes included.
If bought locally, that would have been 525 CAD taxes included.
So I just saved $200 CAD, so 40% off the local prices. It's the best deal we've gotten in a looooooooooooooong time.
Posted by MeGrimlock78 on June 2nd, 2022 @ 1:08pm CDT
I could get a bunch of $17.50 CAD deluxes though...just have to order enough to make shipping worthwhile...

80$CAN for the JP set is amazing. I thought the one I got at 115$CAN was the best deal.
I'll take a look but I have the feeling that everything on sale will be things that I already have.
EDIT:
Well, I did manage to find things that I cannot get otherwise. The total price wasn't so bad especially now that deluxes are 35$CAN plus taxes. Plus having Hades Megatron for the price of a freaking deluxe was an opportunity that I couldn't pass up.

Black Zarak was the first item clicked into my Cart. Only item I really wanted that I had go out of stock on me was SS Perceptor. Not a big deal as I scored him from my local Target for only about $4 more. Well worth the price paid.
I waivered on a few items like the Jurassic Park and the Tricranius sets but decided against, largely because I was so bad on this sale. My wallet hurts but I have good stuff headed my way. That eases the pain.

Like others, I am kind of mad over this sale. The last time Pulse had a sale like this there was nothing of note available in it. This time it's almost everything. I picked up multiples of some of these at full price and I could've had them at 40% off. I can't be too mad though as it's not like anyone saw this coming as again, last sale had nothing included in it. It is what it is and there's no use getting mad. It's also not like I knew some of those weren't going to come close to selling out either.
There's still a few more things I'm going to pick up but have to wait until later today or tomorrow to get them.

Either I already have them, or had zero interests in them.
I rarely buy SS Bay Transformers. I mostly aim for my favorites.
Also, a shame that the Legacy deluxes were not part of the deal. Not only I'll have to pay full price, but I'll have to wait until July for Amazon to deliver.

I'm glad people are getting a lot out of this sale, it really made it worth posting about. I remember one year when they did this sale they only thing they had for Transformers was like 3 old figures that nobody wanted, it was more of a Star Wars and Marvel sale. This was a very pleasant surprise.

The SS Devastator and Selects Abominus were among the things that sold out in the first hour of the sale. Looks like they're slowly cleaning up some of the sales listing, though MP Starscream 2.0 was also sold out in the first hour and is still listed.
Things I'm surprised have yet to sell out:
Black Zarak (massive savings on an amazing Titan)
Commander Class Rodimus Prime (a lot of people said he should have been a Leader)
Shattered Glass Goldbug (fun, good looking figure and the price made him a good deal)
SS Sweep (I was sure the arm builders would snap him up quick)
Agent Ravage (either his initial sales weren't good or they made way too many)
Selects Galvatron (some people prefer toy or Galvatron II colors)
Jurassic Park Collaborative (a much fairer price for a very simple deluxe and a Leader repaint)
Selects Guard and Lift-Ticket (new Diaclone repaints and Guard only just showed up at some stores)

I got SS Brawn and Legacy Iguanus since those were the only ones I was after that were still in stock. I was thinking about Wreck-Gar, but he was gone by the time I logged in . Instead I got a SS Wheeljack for my brother who doesn't have a Pulse account, and that cool-looking Blaster vs. Soundwave t-shirt since they're some of my favourites.
