Our very own Shortround has just given us a heads-up to the latest info on a Transformers sale at Target this coming Sunday! The sale would appear to be on Deluxe price figures, possibly just from Transformers Animated. They will be $8 each, which is a good four or five dollars off retail price! To view the entire sale flier, please click here.

Is Aldi's really that big of a competitor with Target? So when will Target start clearancing their meat?

I could have sworn that some of the only Universe lines were marked down to 6.00 something with clearance tags.

So they're trying to get rid of the 4 figures they have left. Target over here hasnt restocked in over a month.

Pretty much, ironic because they are also one of the more recent wave (Dinobot, Hound, etc) While the Ratchet/Hot Shot wave was limited to like 2 figures each.

Kinda why it's a pain to hunt Transformers

They've been $8.99 at Target all March.

But, I couldn't buy any I wanted because all they had were old figures. No Samurai Prowl or Waspinator. Both of which I had to get from Wal-Mart, as I couldn't wait any longer for Target to get them.

There are 4 Targets within striking distance of my home, and ALL of them are very poorly stocked...none of them have been re-stocked in over a month, and the pegs have been sitting empty since this sale began almost 3 weeks ago.
Complaining to the management doesn't do anything...I don't understand how they can have a sale on stuff they don't stock...my next complaint goes to the state of Minnesota.
It's simply false advertisment.

I'm planning on taking my still sealed Oil Slick back to Wal-Mart and seeing If I can get them to price adjust it based on this ad.

Do You have to have the item with you or can they do it from receipt only? Will they even do it?

Ok. I used to work at Target. I don't know if anyone has said this, but I think I can see what happened there from the picture. There is one peg lable there that has a grey sticker on. I see that its on the universe figures of which there are a lot. That sticker shows that they know they are low on a figure and more have been ordered. They put them up so as the item doesn't get scanned again and more "Unnecessary stock" get ordered from the distribution centre. I think who ever scans them doesn't do a very good job and just assumes Oh, one transformer is the same as another and only scanned the Universe ones.

This post has been long winded and pointless but here's what i'm getting at. If you EVER see a grey sticker on the lable of something you want and they are sold out of the good ones, or the ones you want. Peel that sticker off. Next time they run through and do a scan they will end up ordering a fresh case.

Next what you need to do is be there right before closing. Take a bunch of figures off the shelf and stash them somewhere else in the store. The food section, Kids clothing, somthing like that. If you stash them in the toy section the will probably get put back before the end of the night. If you put theme somewhere else unless its a really slow night they wont get put back till the next morning, During which time your overnight stocking crew may well stuff the shelf full with new goodies from the back.

New tips as I think of them.

What if you get spotted doing all that by a security camera? Wouldn't one get in trouble or something?

this works only some of the time at mine we usually see a small restock once during the week if we're low. We always zone the store before we leave so hiding stuff might not work depending on where u hide them. Usually sunday morning is the best time to look for new figures. With the sale we should be getting more tfs in overnight truck but prolly alot of targets will just put the signs up and that's it.

Target- Target stores are having Transformers sales this week! Different stores seem to be doing the same thing, although there are differences here or there.

Sale prices seem to include:

Animated
Deluxes: $8.99
Voyagers: $18.99
Leaders: $29.99

Universe
Voyagers: $17.99
Deluxes: $9.02 on clearance

ANIMATED EXCLUSIVES FOR $5-- This includes both the True Colors Shockwave, and Sunstorm two-packs.

Check out your local Target store as what is available, and some prices vary. Thanks to all the Seibertron members that contributed to the information for this sale.

I'm about 80 miles from the nearest Target today so I have to wait until tomorrow when I'll only be 45 miles away. I want Sunstorm but I bet even if I brave the nasty snow storm they say is coming tomorrow, they won't have it.

I don't have the car at the moment. Hopefully Target nearby will have them in stock still. They had a ton last weekend. I want to buy the Sunstorm 2-pak as well as the Shockwave one again so I can have MISB on both.

There weren't many exclusives left, so I would jump on this.

I just got back from Target here in New Orleans and got the True Colors Shockwave set for 5 dollars. I love the repaint because I can have the original TFA Shockwave displayed as Longarm and the Target one as Shockwave.

I'd like to thank the guy who broke the news because I really wanted this set, but refused to pay 25 bucks for a repaint. That's why I love this site, I've gotten many great deals at stores just from the tips over here. I got Cybertron Leader Prime for 20 bucks from Family Dollar, Ultimate Movie Bumblebee from Walmart for 35 bucks, and now the Target TFA Exclusives for only 5 dollars. Seibertron rocks!

As a side note, the Target I went to still had the sets displayed for 24.99. I was a little discouraged when I saw this, but decided to do a price check anyway. Turned out they were really 4.99. Makes me wonder if this was a legit sale, or just a computer error like with Walmart's 35 dollar Ultimate Bumblebee.

I bought the Shockwave set for regular price last night along with some other TF's, and a few minutes ago I went to Target and they gadly returned the difference for everything that on sale to the CC I used. They even had a few of each sets left. I scanned them , and though the shelves were pretty bare, it did say there were some in the stockroom, so it may be wise to check with an employee if you really want this deal and it seems there aren't any left.

Target will price adjust within 14 days of purchase. If you are over that, you will have to buy another set at $4.99, and then take it back with your original receipt and get a refund. Did that one today.

On another note, the flood to ebay cracks me up. Looks like the scalpers are trying to roll this one out.

If anyone in Washington is able to get these and is happening to be attending Sakura-Con next week-end, I'm willing to give $20 US for both (not each).

So if you'll be attending, and want to make $10 for your trouble, PM me.

I picked up the purple version of shockwave today because it was $5 and also have the grey version as well so I can have one in robot mode and one in vehicle mode. Someone who is like an aunt to me got the sunstorm pack yesterday for her grandson and we were there today picking up some other stuff and she didn't want run all the way back into the store after going to her car so I did and she let me have the difference. So now I can get universe hot shot and rachet when I finally find them around the alderwood mall area.

I think the entire toy section was on sale cause all i saw was price cut stickers. I managed to pick up Sunstorm. It was the only one left. Now i need to decide if i want to open it or not since i dont have either mold. No shockwaves unfortunately so it looks like the gray one is the only one ill have. But i did get Universe Hotshot for the sale price. They had the sticker on the Universe pegs and i pointed it out so they gave me the discount. Also picked up a few Wolverine figures since they were on sale as well. Deadpool kicks ass. (Comic Deadpool and Wade in the beginning of the movie not that crap from the end of it)Also got the money back for the voyager i bought the other day at full price. All and all id say it was worth the 15mile trip in the rain (monsoon).

Your Target may have these still in the stockroom in they're not on the shelf. The 'find in store' feature on the website showed 'available' at both stores here, though neither have any on the shelf. I went up to the counter at one of the stores today and had them do a search and they were all in the stockroom.

Here's the dcpi# for both 2 packs: 087-06-0105

I can confirm this, as i said yesterday, I found nothing on the shelves. Then i came home and looked online and saw where it said available. Called today and the lady said they had about 20 or more but they were in the back. So, definitely worth it to check the 'find in store' and then call ahead or at least go with the DCPI in hand if you're having trouble catching this deal.

Definitely make sure to take your receipts with you if you already got either of these sets within the last two weeks! They'll do a price adjust for you without hassle.

Snagged the Sunstorm set today in addition to the Shockwave I already had -- I like him (especially for $5; not sure I'd be as kind for $25), but I can't for the life of me figure out the correct leg positions to get his jet mode right. :?

Anyone got any tips/click counts regarding that? I could also use help keeping his head from popping off...
