I agree on the chest wing, it would be nice if it were a bit bigger, but I can live with it. As for QC, if Exgraver is any indication then I'm not concerned at all with QC. In my opinion it's more solid than anything I've gotten from FP (DIA Commander, City Commander, clear Protector armor and the infamous Thundershred which had misaligned parts/tabs on mine ).
It looks like it's going to be even taller than I expected, which is a bonus.

I must admit the prototype looks fantastic! Can't wait to see the final version with the colors and minor tweaks.

Cant wait to see it in color and then with Repro labels.

But please reconsider putting a visor on him. The head flat out sucks. Everybody has a G1 version of Devi and nobody wants a remake of the original toys crappy head.

The completed prototype looks really awsome. I wonder how big it'll be in comparison to the maketoys version ... a little Photoshop work may very well answer that question ...

I wasn't thinking wider, I was thinking larger, as in the height. It looks more like a logo than a chestplate .
It's all about proportions .
I'm still not too disappointed though. He still looks awesome .

I'll probably have to pay around 1000 by the time I am actually able to even afford all of them together... I just hope theres still some going around in a year or 2.

I've been on here before moaning and bitching about this, but I'm glad Ive stuck in preorders - I still want the Justitoys one though, to fit in with my FP combiners, but I've no problem having 2 neo-G1 Devys. My wallet, however, will say otherwise!

These things are obviously mass produced, I don't see why they couldn't lower the price to like 60 bucks a figure. That would be reasonable. All third parties Gauge with their prices, and TFC Is no Acception.
600 is much less than 1000, and unless you know precisely all costs that go into a figure, in which case please enlighten us, then we cannot say if they're gouging us or not. It's just wild speculation that they are taking advantage of us.

Proportionally, based on the G1 pic you linked to, the TFC is actually taller so I'm not getting your argument…
If I had a complaint it would be the dual hip plates, since Longhaul's is sitting in plain view right above Devastator's…

I'd go with this, or hold out for a third-party Overlord cuz you know someone somwhere is working on one (hopefully as awesome as this).

Item Size/Weight : 44 x 30.1 x 16.5 cm / 2180g
so that's 17.32 inches to us dumb americans.
although http://www.hobbygen.com/index.php?main_ ... ts_id=1331
says: Approx. 12" (30cm) H
so foo!
tho I'd go with the 12 inches, which would put TFC Devastator pretty close to 18 inches…

Wow. If that's the case, then it's bigger than I was guessing. I thought that figure of ~12in./30cm tall at the head was probably about right, primarily since Hook won't contribute much to Devastator's overall height. Looks like that's not the case (though I was already beginning to doubt the one foot estimate once I had Exgraver in-hand), if that's a one foot toy next to Dev.

i was hyped before when i had heard of it initially, but now seeing the monster fully together just hurts - seriously it does because i've just paid up and moving into a house from a pokey flat (arrrghh)
seriously though, that looks the sauce, but in all fairness, as it's a prototype, and the final parts are subject to revision, and one thing i would like to see is a more defined cab and bumper on (i'm not)Mixmaster.
if its getting picky on the chest wing: if it is streached/enlarged, it might, might interfere with the arm mobility - but there are ways to alter it to not interfere its in the angle's

He looks amazing, too! Unless Giant is in the $300-350 range, I see no need for both. Hercules wins.

Well, I kept checking…
BBTS:
Coming in May from Tamashii Nations; the GX-60 Space Emperor God Sigma. This long awaited release stands approximately ten inches tall[…]
Anime Export:
25cm
various eBay listings:
300mm
(probably cueing from the cut and paste of "approx. 12 inches (30cm)" that keeps appearing).
Gundam Planet:
30cm (11.2") big size!
which is interesting since 30cm is actually 11.811 inches
so if the God Sigma is anywhere from 10-12 inches that would put the TFC Devy at a minimum of ~15 inches and possibly as tall as 18+ inches. Measuring from the tips of the gun barrels my FP Bruticus is 12.75 inches (as a comparison)
EDIT:
Bad Math! Bad Math! 10-12 inch God Sigma would be ~13-16 inch Devy…

If the God Sigma here is the Soul of Chogokin version and he's 10 inches, then 13 inches would be about right fior Devy… my previous estimates took 1/2 the height instead of 1/3 (and I'm a Maths major too!) which would have topped at 16 inches if God Sigma was 12 inches…

Hercules is supposed to be bigger than Maketoys Giant correct? Giant was pictured next to Fansproject Bruticus and shown to be roughly the same size. I just held up my United Bumblebee package to Bruticus and they were about the same size (package was slightly taller excluding the back guns). So if Hercules is as tall as United Bumblebees package, that would make Hercules and Giant about the same size. However, Hercules is supposed to be bigger than Giant.

As for the head, it looks fine to me. Same for the chest plate.
Posted by Sodan-1 on September 10th, 2011 @ 4:38pm CDT
My only real problem I'm foreseeing with the head is poseabilty (apparently that's not a real word. Who knew??). These aren't the first photos we've seen of Hercules where his head has appeared a little off to one side, most likely due to Dr. Crank's crane. While not strictly G1 accurate I'd love it if they had a hole on Hercules' back into which the crane could be plugged.
My only opinion on the state of the chest wing is that I don't have one. My Hercules will be going IDW bare-chested. The hussey!!!
All in all: looking B-E-A-Utiful TFClub. I can't wait to have the completed set. On the other hand my wallet is readying a cyanide capsule and a pistol with a single round in the chamber. I wonder which one of us they're for; him or............
