The Transformers Collectors' Club has shared a new mock-up of TFSS 4.0 Spinister, along with his Targetmasters Hairsplitter and Singe. In this image you can check out both the robot mode, with color tweaks since we first saw him, and for the first time you can check out his helicopter alternate mode. Really happy the eyes are separated like that rather than a full visor. Separates him from Alpha Bravo and Vortex and makes him more like Spinister.

The base photography are of Hasbro's hand-painted samples. Due to the way the light hits the paint opposed to plastic, it is very difficult to get Photoshopped colors to look "right". Especially with obnoxiously (and gloriously) loud colors like the 1988 Targetmasters.

I like the black better, I think it yields a better contrast. Then again, the teal is a bit more G1 toy-accurate. Going off Twitter, it looks like the teal has more votes, and that's ok, I could live with either. But yeah, black got my vote.

Seeing this Spinisiter has made me want to track down the Con Exclusive which used the Tomahawk mold. I like the look of that one better. Almost had one from Ebay but was sniped at the last minute...I'll keep trying.

Black around his eyes looks cool. Teal around his eyes is more G1 toy-accurate.

I do like that the club is giving us a little input on the design, especially when we're the ones buying these. I just wish they had a way for each club member to have a vote on things like this, especially those of us without Twitter.

I still say that they should have used the silverbolt mold for windsweeper. He was a damn B1 bomber not a puny fighter jet. They could have just used the upcoming brawl mold for bludgon instead of onslaught. That would have also worked better for the character too. Just my opinion, but I think most people are gonna be displaying these figures individually. The inevitable combiner head with the samurai skull face is going to be corny as f**k.

Funny, "puny fighter jet" is exactly how I remember him :lol:

Shaped like a bomber, sure, but I can't remember any fiction or toys that would drive justification of making it a Voyager. Not that it couldn't be cool, just don't think that would be satisfying to me.

It's Thursday and the 3-day marathon of reveals from TFSS 4.0 has started! Bludgeon is a retool of the Voyager Onslaught mold with two new heads (individual robot and combined mode)!! He also comes with two extra accessories, since no Bludgeon is complete without swords!
