The 2015 edition of TFcon USA has had its location and dates announced on TFcon's official website. This iteration of the event will take place from October 16th - 18th, 2015 in Charlotte, North Carolina at the Embassy Suites Charlotte Concord. The release reads as follows:

Save the dates! In cooperation with the former staff of Charticon, TFcon USA – America’s largest fan-run Transformers convention comes to Charlotte, North Carolina the weekend of October 16th to 18th, 2015. TFcon Charlotte will take place at the Embassy Suites Charlotte Concord. Discounted hotel block information will be available shortly. Dealer bookings and registration information will also be available in the very near future.

You can view additional hotel information, including the address, at their website.

Since it didn't seem appropriate to put in the news story, here's my reaction to this news:

I should note to anyone traveling that this is technically in Concord, which is a suburb of Charlotte on the far north end of the Charlotte metro area. That said, it is not hard to get to, nor far at all from Charlotte proper.

Good Find ScottyP! I was about to post the news myself and I found that you beat me to the punch! I enjoyed meeting you and the other podcast guys at Charticon back in 2013 and was totally bummed when the only transformers con in the southeast was canceled. Looks like I don't have to drive far with it right outside of Charlotte.

I wasn't a huge fan of Charticon's hotel but Embassy Suites Charlotte Concord looks like a nice venue. I honestly couldn't be much more excited without having a Botcon nearby!

I hope we can get a strong Siebertron.com presence out there!

Here's wishing that the Third party panel and info is as big and great as it was last year.

The TFcon hotel rate gives you:
-Complimentary Breakfast Buffet
-Complimentary High Speed Internet
-Complimentary 2 drink vouchers per day
-Complimentary Parking

In my experiance all Embassy Suites guests get these, so it's no special TFcon thing. That being said I've been in a few Embassy Suites for bussness travel and I think it will be a good environment for a con of this size.

Another event update, this time from TFCon USA, taking place in Charlotte this October - the dealer registrations are now open! If you have registered for last year's event, check your email accounts; if you're new to the deal (heh) head here to book your stall.

Dealer registration is now available for TFcon Charlotte 2015. For those of you that were looking to sell at America’s largest fan-run Transformers convention now is the time to book, you can contact us now to reserve your space. Exhibitors from TFcon Chicago 2014 will automatically receive registration info emailed to them.

Registration for attendees will be available in the near future.

Can anyone figure out how this is different from the block announced in April? Honest question, not questioning the newsworthiness, this was a release from them so not sure what would have spurned it other than some new thingie going on.

The lovely folks over at TFcon USA - taking place in Charlotte in 2015 - have updated their site with the first official guest for the event: voice of Optimus Primal from Transformers Beast Wars, Garry Chalk! We are very happy to welcome Transformers voice actor Garry Chalk to TFcon Charlotte 2015. The voice of Optimus Primal in Beast Wars and Beast Machines and Optimus Prime in the Armada, Energon and Cybertron cartoons, he also voiced Generation 1 Megatron in an episode of Beast Wars. Additionally he is known to GIJOE fans as the voices of Pathfinder and Metalhead in G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, and He-Fans as the voices He-Man in The New Adventures of He-Man, and Man-at-Arms in the 2002 He-Man and the Masters of the Universe. Mr. Chalk will be taking part in Q&A panels and autograph sessions with the attendees of the world’s largest fan-run Transformers convention all weekend long.
